We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the deck cafe, which had a relaxing water view from the outdoor seating. The food was fabulous, especially the french fries, which were crispy and tasty. The only downside was the QR-scan ordering system, which took too long to...process our order. We waited for about 40 minutes before our food arrived, and when we followed up, we were told that the kitchen was busy. We would recommend ordering at the counter instead, as it might be faster and more efficient. The staff were a bit inconsistent in their service. Some of them were very helpful and friendly, while others seemed indifferent and uninterested. Overall, we had a good time at the deck cafe, but we also encountered some hiccups along the way. If you are looking for a casual and scenic place to eat, you can give it a try, but be prepared to wait and be patient.More

The food was great. The drinks were great. The staff were ok. Very disappointing to be told we needed to leave mid dining experience because our time was up-understandable if it was full but only about half full. Moving us to another table wasn’t offered....Their loss. We took our business elsewhere.More

Brilliant selection of gluten free food for me being coeliac. The wonderful staff could not have been more attentive without being intrusive . Andy who served us made us feel such honoured guests. Faultless from start to finish. We arrived a little late and flustered to a kind welcome. Within 5 minutes we had been greeted by three waiters one of whom had learned our names. The first course arrived and the generosity of servings was the first...thing we noted. Beautiful flavors and respectful caring checkins from our waiters. Mains were simply sensational. Alas we needed to leave to make an appointment which sadly meant the amazing sounding desserts were not sampled. We have spent a long weekend dining at a few of Port Stephens’s restaurants. The combination of kind attentive service, beautiful food and the most sublime view all combined to make Little Beachboat House a stand out favorite. It is not to be missed.More

This restaurant is beautifully located, directly overlooking Little Beach and the bay. We were entertained by kite surfers and windsurfers the whole time we were there, enjoying the magnificent food. The fish was perfectly cooked and the dessert was a chocolate lover's idea of heaven....The serves are a good size and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Our waiter, Sherwin is a delight! I definitely recommend Little Beach Boathouse but don't come here if you are looking for a cheap meal.More

Their food was super good and big portion! Four of us were there and we were all full after having our entrée. We tried both meat dish and fish. Their fish was very fresh and meat was cooked to perfection. Overall, I highly recommend to...try their food if you visit Nelson Bay.More

Magnificent meal and wonderfully friendly service. The two course meal is excellent value for just $70.00 pp and the wine list has a wide range, including very affordable and very drinkable wines. The mussels in coconut laksa was the best mussels I have ever had...and the Seafood & Squid Ink Spaghetti was amazing! No wonder it has been a staple on the menu for over 12 years. We will most certainly be visiting again - thank you!More

Staff were wonderful- attentive, professional but not intrusive. The menu options were interesting with great choice. Pricing was great for the quality. And the food was absolutely fabulous! Good wine list too.

It has been a long time since we were made to feel so welcome at a restaurant and from the moment we stepped through the front door, we felt that we were honoured guests rather than just patrons. The wait staff knew our names and...referred to us by them, during the evening, making us feel quite special. We chose the 3 course option and were delighted with the food presentation, freshness and taste. The whole experience had us discussing what we might choose on our next visit and there will definitely be several of those when we revisit the area on holidays. Our word of mouth recommendation will be our greatest gift to this wonderful restaurant and its staff.More

I agree with the other posts about how good the food, service and ambience/view is. This is a great place to eat if you order from the a la carte menu, with a good variety of different food to choose and an emphasis on fresh...seafood. However, I would not book here for a special dinner with a group of people. Their banquet offerings are 3 or 4 Mains of standard pub-type dishes such as pork belly and salmon, with no pasta or other seafood. The restaurant manager proved difficult to speak to and they prefer that all communication is made via email. She was not willing to offer much more than their disappointing banquet pub-style menu. I would have given this place 5 stars instead of 3 had our experience re their banquet menu been more accommodating. We have decided to eat instead at Atmos in the Shoal Bay Country Club which has a superior banquet menu, was easy to contact by phone and are more amenable to discussion to cater for our needs.More
