As a birthday treat for me my 80+ year old mother decided to take us all to the Lemon Tree. It was definitely a treat. Turkish meze and kebabs but to call them such would be wrong as they’re so far superior to the kind...you get from takeaways that they shouldn’t really have the same name. The quality of the ingredients were so great and flavours so vivid. The portions are large so be aware of that. A second starter was sufficient for my mother instead of a main. The only downside was the the apple pie dessert wasn’t as hot as we’d have expected however the taste was superb, as with everything. Attentive service, very nice staff, disabled access. HOWEVER there is limited parking nearby due to pedestrianisation of the street.More

Was recommended so after a long time not going out decided to chance it and go and try, didn't book even though a Saturday ,said if we can't get in its not meant to be...Never been before but were met with nice friendly staff who...welcomed us and found and cleaned a table within 15 mins...food lovely ,atmosphere good, not cramped together each table has its own space to feel comfortable, best meal I have enjoyed in ages..couldn't decide on food....so I will have to go back Again and Again:)...young lady waiting on is a credit with her pleasant smile and friendliness even though she seemed to be busy doing several jobs.More

Service good, prices good. The food was nice, but lacked flavour / spice. A nice place to go and eat, but picking a Turkish kebab, would have liked more flavour.

Lovely restaurant, pleasant decor, friendly staff and gorgeous food. The Fish cake starter was very tasty and even though the Sweet chilli sauce was identical to the bottled variety I have at home, it was lovely. My partner really enjoyed his starter of spicy meatballs...in tomato sauce. For mains I had Moussaka but exchanged the bread & rice for chips and salad. It was lovely. My partner had the Adana (Traditional Turkish) kebab, it was very filling but he managed to polish it all. We enjoyed a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon and the Brandy Liqueur coffee was one of the nicest I have ever had.More

Called in for lunch the other day. We were spoiled for choice with the varied selection of Turkish and English dishes. We opted for burger and wraps with chips ,both were very nice. Service was good. We will definitely be returning to try the Turkish...kebabs etc.More

Today was first time in months I have left the house, after restrictions lifted. I decided on lunch here after a recommendation. Firstly wish to thank the waiter -bar staff amazing service, I clumsily knocked a glass and cut my finger very deeply. The member of...staff went out of his way to ensure I was delt with care and ensured I felt ok. Believe me better than just throwing a plaster and making you feel a burden. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too quite or noisy like having a meal at a friend's house or small tavern. Very authentic.... I decided on the halloumi kebab starter, Well presented, Portion size quite larger for a starter. Taste perfect complimented with a side salad& dressing. For main due to generous size starter I opted for a meat ball starter rather than a bigger main meal. Also as it was lunch time rarther than an evening. There is a good selection of drinks but would have liked fresh lemon & mint rather than synthetic pop. I think there was orange but too heavy with a meal. The meat ball starter again larger portion size. Meatballs as expected, tasted good quality meat with herb and tomatoe base sauce, the sauce slightly thinner that I would have liked but this I think is intentional to allow for dipping of bread that accompanies it. My colleague had an omelette, with chips and side salad. Again large portion size, Overall the service and staff were amazing and food of good quality I have no hesitation in recommending this.More

Visited on a quiet midweek evening last week. Very quiet and seated quickly. Only had the mains as weren't over hungry - went for a Adana Kebab and a Lamb Shish Kebab respectively. Portions were plentiful with accompanying rice, salad, dips and a huge roasted...pepper. The different tastes on the plate were wonderful and the lamb was extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. We couldn't actually clear our plates but this was in no way a reflection on the food which was excellent. Lovely little authentic Turkish themed features throughout the restaurant as well. Slight negative was that our initial drinks order appeared to be forgotten but came eventually. No fault of the restaurant but this is not located in the most salubrious area of the town centre either. We shall return.More

Called in today for lunch with Husband and Mum. I had the halloumi salad which was delicious, Husband had steak and chip which was very much to his liking. Mum had the Chicken wrap which she thoroughly enjoyed just wishes she could have finished it....First outing in months, felt nice and safe during our visit, staff friendly and very reasonably priced food. Whats not to like.More
