The name sounds like a command. So why would we be surprised when the Chef came out and cut the black, hard, well done, lamb chop and insisted it was rare? "See that pink" she shouted, "it's rare. That's what you ordered." Truthfully, there was...a 1/4 inch diameter pink (not red) spot in that section of the chop, the rest was brown/black. The lobster risotto was well done also and too chewy to enjoy. Another egotistical concept - there are no crackers available for the oysters, the waitress said she would make me cocktail sauce. When orally given the specials of the day, there were no prices. It's not a cheap restaurant, but when a pile of bland pasta and a few truffles was $52 dollars, I was not happy. The service was slow to lousy. We were first to arrive. Every table around us had finished their entrees before we were served ours. I had to encourage the waitress to offer my friend a complimentary tiramisu, due to the insults from the chef. Costco's is much better. I ate there another time with execs from my company - no one was impressed. and wouldn't revisit. This was our first outing in 6 months because of Covid 19. I should have saved $200 and cooked at home another night. I won't go back to any of this rude chef/owner's three restaurants to feed me or her ego again. Even with great music and friends, it was not a happy meal.More

Wow, so disappointed. We had a 5:30 reservation. Ordered appetizers, very good oysters and Belle Helene was tasty. Waited to after 7:00 for entrees, no explanation for delay. Steak frites ordered medium rare, totally rare, fries were room temp. Mizuna salad very disappointing. No goat...cheese on salad, lacked flavor. Server was great, offered to take steak off bill, which was very considerate of her. I had such high expectations that we might actually have a great restaurant but not so. The atmosphere is great but to spend over an hour waiting for disappointing food on a Sunday evening when they were not busy, means we will not be back. There are better restaurants in the area.More

Located close to the state Capitol, this is a hybrid bar, disco and restaurant. The restaurant and bar occupy a two story building with a high atrium in the middle, over the bar. The disco is separate, but you can hear the loud thumping during...dinner. Our table was waiting for us. Service was attentive, although unsophisticated. There was an interesting wine list, outside the mainstream, but the wines were good. The full bar offers all the usual cocktails, and then some locally created. The food was surprisingly creative and cosmopolitan. Froglegs, snails, beef cheeks and creative vegetable sides were just some of the more interesting dishes found on the menu. Steaks, fish, chicken, were also offered. Flavors were right on the spot, although portions were a bit too large for us.More

After having minimal luck finding anything beyond diner/pub/fast food in this area, we were delighted to find this place. We arrived at the tail end of their brunch service, and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious - my husband had mussels, I had..."Belle Helen". They also had some seasonal (Native - not asian) Paw Paw, which the chef was using in a dessert preparation. They agreed to serve me just the fruit - a rare treat, and I've never seen it in a restaurant before...and only rarely at farm markets. We ended up having a chat with the owners - lovely and enthusiastic women who clearly love what they do. I wish we were in Harrisburg more often - I'd be a regular!More

The entire staff is very personable and are completely attentive. The craft cocktails are absolutely delicious and the bartenders know their s**t. If you’re in the Susquehanna valley definitely come to Rubicon. The experience is totally worth the drive.

Had oysters on the half shell for happy hour and soft shell crabs. It was one of the best meals that I have enjoyed in many years. The service was terrific and a nice atmosphere.

Stopped here on a road trip. We picked Rubicon from web listings because of the really interesting menu. At 7:30 on a Friday night, they had a live trio playing, but it was so loud as to make dinner conversation impossible. Luckily, it was a...gorgeous evening and they have outside seating. I start with the fact that the food was outstanding. My wife's crab cake and artichoke small plate was interesting and delicious. My house salad was unremarkable but good. I had one of the best pork chops I've ever had -tender and juicy with a tasty sauce. My wife's salmon was very good. The problem was the service. The waiter was friendly and helpful, but the wait for our food was ridiculous. The salads/starters took 45 minutes to arrive, which the waiter didn't seem to notice. It wasn't all that busy either. When I finally asked about them after 1/2 hour, he kindly comp'd us a glass of wine and a soda. But when I asked for some bread to hold us over (which I would have assumed would have come without asking) I was charged for it. I'd be tempted to go back to try some of their other dishes because the food was so good, but I'd be sure I didn't have plans for later.More

This was my first visit for brunch on a Sunday with my mother, daughter and sister. The food was good, but average. The waitress was nice, but our food took way too long to come out. When the food finally arrived, my daughters meal was...COLD. We asked for it to be re-heated, and we didn't get a head nod or a smile, an apology, or even a show of concern...in fact, after I asked, she didn't even glance at me. I felt like I was bothering her. I completely understand if they were short staffed, but at least tell me - I understand that, but I can do without the attitude.More

It's a nice place not excessive elegant but not for sport-ware. Business casual is the right choice.
