Even though the restaurant was extremely busy on a Friday night, the chef was very gracious and prepared chicken piccata(not on menu) when I requested it. It is my favorite entree and Vino's prepares it to perfection. They deserve a shout out and a public...thank you for being so accommodating.More
The service was great. There is the two-for service could have been a 5. I read reviews on TripAdvisor again
The bread -normal nothing special
Crab mushrooms/mushy snd drowned in butter
Pasta was mushy
Parking lots of places. Big shopping center
Dress code -certainly not...a place to dress up for
I’m not usually negative but I was set up by the reviews and truly kept wondering if I was in the wrong place
Like I said the workers were greatMore
ok for what it is but not very authentic for their Bolognese sauce which is just word pork added to marinara. hard to find real Bolognese in Harrisburg, meat sauce is NOT Bolognese, more to it than adding meat!
We were traveling and found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and what a find it was. Cozy restaurant and great service. My husband had the meat ravioli with homemade meat sauce that included shredded pork and ground beef. He liked it so much he wants to...try to make some himself. I had the lemon and rosemary chicken which was also delicious. The homemade bread and sides were also nice and we split a slice of the lemon mascarpone cake that was outstanding. Will definitely stop again when traveling! Limited seating so might be good to make reservations.More
This was one of the closest restaurants to our hotel, so we ate here a few times when we were in Harrisburg. Not many tables, lots of regulars, and a great feel to the restaurant. Fine dining in terms of food, but with a very...casual vibe. We were in jeans each time and never felt underdressed. Reservations are probably a good idea Friday-Saturday nights since it's so small. The bread is to die for! I tried several items, all delicious, but my husband almost always got the bucatini alla amatriciana because he loved it so much. The staff was great, and I would love to return if we're ever in Harrisburg again.More
I have wanted to try this place for a couple of years. Actually drove into the parking lot a year ago and good find no parking. Today the stars aligned-no lunch, a friend who was willing to go at 4 PM when they open, and...a handicapped parking spot near by. Vino is a small but not tiny attractive place with a bar. On a Thursday it was never full but there was a nice steady crowd. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Other staff was pleasant. The food was delicious and plentiful. The basil tomato soup was thick. The meat sauce was rich and plentiful. Nice olive oil for the bread. And a real plus- the wine prices were reasonable.More
Was here Valentine’s weekend and had amazing dinners. My girlfriend had beef and bay (crabcake) and I had the wild boar shank osso buco. Fantastic Italian food beyond the standards that weekend. Other items, duck, Brie cheese, so many delicious options. Sausage and cheese stuffed...mushrooms were incredible. Chef is always spot on!More

They do not. But, the owner also owns the pizza shop next door, and the two share a kitchen and there is a spot near the kitchen for the staff to walk back and forth between the restaurants. My son is a picky eater and we always order him a slice of cheese pizza at Vino (which they bring over from the pizza shop next door). Our server suggested it the first time we brought our son there, and it was a terrific option.
