Food is awesome, drinks are OK! We had ceviche and the vegetable plate for appetizers. We followed up with steak soup and watermelon salad and a burger. Our server was great! And the food was really really good! We ordered the pimms and mojito and...while both Ok, they didn’t taste like the actual original drinks. Their spin was a little too much making them completely different drinks. But we will definitely be back!More

Home231 you finally chased us away for good this time. We had our fair share of bad service with this restaurant and figured we would give it another shot after what restaurant had went through because of Covid but boy that was a huge mistake....The ambiance is nice but the food is terrible. I had a special which was halibut and rigatoni, the halibut wasn’t bad but the rigatoni and vegetables were so salty I couldn’t believe someone actually cooked that. My wife salad was nothing but a bowl of red onions with no lettuce and the chicken oh boy that chicken was so disgusting the chef should be ashamed. For the price we expect better quality food. We are finally done with this place and if you like boring salty food have it but beware this place does not worth the price they are charging.More

Visited Home 231 for lunch and really had a nice meal. We tried their meat and cheese boards plus an entree each. All very nicely done with fresh and attractive platings. Service we received at Home 231 was exceptionally outstanding! Do call ahead and reserve...an outdoor table if weather permits since the outdoor seating is limited.More

Wife and I decided to have dinner since they had outdoor dining and some limited indoor seating. Started with their fried green tomato app. This was very, very bland and had virtually no seasoning on it. I had the filet which came out way, way...overdone. To top that off they cut if in half (almost like a butterfly cut) which let all the juices run out. Dinner was sent back and they cut it in half again. I mean who does that on a supposedly filet? I inquired about the cut of meat even being a filet since it also had a lot of fat. Chef came out and only apologized for the temperature, not the way it was cut and served. Made up some crazy reason that is how they check the temperature. Extremely arrogant to think this is how you serve a filet. Definitely will not be back. Not worth the money for what you get. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING.More

Food and service was perfect. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are downtown Harrisburg.

We are Canadian snowbirds scurrying home from Florida because of the covid-19. By the time we got to Harrisburg, this restaurant was only doing take-out. Owner/chef Robert Ayala cooked a dinner for us that was gluten free and dairy free, which was much appreciated. We...chose grilled salmon, and sides of mushrooms and spicy, ginger carrots - all delicious.More

the location is great, as well as the service. it's a perfect little local joint, with a small bar (excellent drinks)... and a decent dining room area. the food is classic american, but a bit more unique and upscale. still it's casual and relaxed, with...great desserts to boot.More

The service was excellent. The waiter was very helpful with suggestions. There was three of us and we opted for the roasted vegetable board with hummus. Could be a meal in itself, along with fried tomatoes, pierogies, taquitos and a crab cake dinner. Everything was...delicious. We ask for a recipe and the chef’s policy was to give him one and receive one. We gave him a Cincinnati Goetta recipe. Great place to go.More

We arrived at a very busy time on Sunday morning, but were seated right away. Our waiter was very informative, and really went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The food came in a timely manner, and everything was...delicious, including our breakfast cocktails!!More

There is not a strict dress code. Because of the state employees and lawfirms, you will see business casual and suits more often than note. I've worn shorts before and was ok.

I don't believe they have a separate menu, I think it is more of an adult atmosphere, but that is just my opinion.

Hello Brenda, The only beer we have by the can is St. Boniface Pale Ale. They are out of Ephrata, PA. Available at many local stores!
