Got lunch here for a solid two weeks

Was working in the area and found this awesome spot searching the area. The menu changes daily which you can check online; and they also have rotating specials so I would call to see what it is. The prices are cheap, the food is fresh, and it tends to be healthy. If you haven't tried major stokes I suggest you check it out.

Very Fresh

I was visiting from out of town and was very happy to find Major Stokes. The grilled veggie salad was amazing. The food was very fresh, good variety, friendly service, and really awesome peanut butter mousse for dessert. Prices are reasonable. On-street parking was easy on a Saturday. Looking forward to a future visit!

Off the beaten path-a gem of a restaurant

For a new restaurant (1 year old) they really did a lot of things right and continue to improve. The food is consistently very good and the service seamless. It’s a great place to meet friends and have a conversation where you’re not competing w/ the music. They have a boatload of entertainment most nights and even get some impromptu piano players in the bar.

Disappointing experiencw

Reserved on a recommendation but was terribly disappointed. Five of us were seated, not at a table but at a buffet table. Two of the five had to sit sideways to eat their dinner because there was no way to get their legs under the table. The other 3 were jammed against a wall. Outside of the extremely uncomfortable seating, the food was marginal at best. Crab cakes were tasteless and WAY overpriced at $40. The Mac and Cheese was fettuccine with gobs of cheese. A chicken salad was delivered well after everyone else was nearly done with their meals. Disappointing to say the least. We definitely won't be back. The only good aspect was a talented musician who began to play.

Fantastic lunch experience!

Visited from Canada! It was a nice warm March day and we were able to sit on the back patio. Cozy, private, great ambience. Enjoyed every single thing I ate and drank. Started with a margarita containing their house-infused strawberry tequila. It was amazing. Next up was the lobster bisque. Creamy yet light and refreshing - enjoyed every drop. For my main I had the chef's selection pasta, which was a creamy tomato sauce with spinach and I added shrimp, light and fresh. So so good! Prices were very reasonable, staff very friendly and helpful. Would come again in a second next time I'm in Greensburg.

Disappointed

Stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening for the first time We were the only ones there. Maybe a clue. Bartender got my husband a beer, then disappeared. Never really asked me what I wanted. But I drank the water offered by the waitress. He ordered Mac and cheese with salmon. Mac and cheese sauce seemed runny, more like a boxed item not baked, not creamy. I had pork tacos. So pulled pork with cabbage and crème fresh. Very dry red rice, no taste really and a bunch of broken chips. Food was not up to the hype. Out of the pork chops he wanted. The butternut squash soup was good. Probably won’t return.

Great place

The two large juicy pork chops were delicious, as were the potatoes and vegetables. Neat, unique atmosphere, and our server was very friendly and engaging. And the musician playing guitar was enjoyable, and made sure not to play too loud so people could talk to each other. We were just visiting, but if we lived nearby would definitely go back.

Hidden Gem

We have been here several times and are always happy! We have sat at the bar and tried Infusions (some really creative combinations), stopped for lunch and several dinners. Tonight we had perfectly grilled filets and enjoyed the live music.

Sunday Easter Brunch at Major Stokes.

We were disappointed with the Sunday Buffett. It was average at best and the price/value is not good. Maybe Major Stokes is a better bar establishment with live entertainment. The service was friendly and better than average attentiveness. I don't look for the lowest or the highest priced eatery's. I look for the best value for the money. It's possible that their dinner menu has more satisfying results.

Filet was delicious.

It was delicious. I could not get my White Russian but that seems to be the normal anytime I go out to eat. The Filet and the Mediterranean Rice was also delicious, little kick to the taste but I like it. I consider myself a very picky person. So for me to say it was delicious and I cannot forget to mention the Cheesecake. I brought home with me. I had it with my coffee this morning. Very Yummy. We will be back. The price is a little high but worth every penny.

Excellent Sunday Brunch

Sunday brunch was excellent.....there was a nice variety and everything was delicious. Waitress Alexa was a sweetheart and the owners are very friendly. Next time you are looking for a great little restaurant in Greensburg, check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

A great Sunday experience!

This was our first visit, but it won't be our last! The place has a good vibe, friendly crew. The small but lacking nothing Sunday buffet was fresh looking and tasting! It was like a good spread at a friend's house. My husband didn't do the buffet, but thought his bacon, eggs and toast was perfect. So happy we found this place!

First time here. We had an event in Greensburg at the Palace Theater. The food was amazing. We had the shrimp chowder and I have to say it's some of the best I've ever had. The server was very nice and attentive. Great food and great drinks in a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Yummy Brunch

Perfect brunch spot! So many choices on the brunch buffet! Eggs, bacon, meatballs, shrimp, salad, steak, really you name it they had it! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean.
