The service is polite and fun, the menu is creative and fun and the food is delicious. Try the pretzel roll and a beer.

We stopped on our way through to Jamestown. Small place but we sat at a table with others which was great. Had a cider from a local brewery which was fantastic. Definitely get the pretzels. So many options of dogs to try.

It’s an interesting small space that has limited inside seating and a covered patio outside. We had the American Hotdog (average) and the Chicago Dog (good) along with fries. There are numerous combination hotdogs/pretzels and beer options. The young lady cooking was great at her...job and very pleasant. Read up on their online menu before you go.More

Every dog and sausage combination you could dream of! The pretzels were also fantastic. In Perry Rd location, they have a small indoor restaurant with some seating (addl. outdoor seating) and a 'beer store' adjacent. Found my new favorite hard cider, 'Cider boys'. Service was...superb! Greeted as soon as we stepped in and made to feel welcome our entire stay.More

While camping at a nearby KOA, our destination for the evening was Lucky Louie’s Beer Wieners, an oddball establishment halfway to Erie. We parked in back, walking around front to the entrance. Inside it is a small space, with a short bar and just two...tables. But there is a large dining tent outside with space heaters and that is where we would land. We checked out the menu board and proceeded to order. I ordered the Dixie Normous (Chili, Shredded Cheddar, Slaw, Mustard) and my wife went for the Hollywood connection by getting the Don't Hassle the Hoff (Smith’s Cheddarbest Smoked Sausage, Kraut, Horsey Cheddar Sauce, Honey Mustard on a Buttery, Salted Pretzel Bun). Initially I was going to order a draft beer but then noticed a Stone 25th Anniversary Triple IPA that I’ve been wanting to try, and I did. Twice. The dogs were delicious as was the beer and as the WIFI out on the patio was very good, much better than that at the KOA, we decided to have that second beer, enjoy the warmth of the heat lamps, and do some work on the laptop. It was a good stop and thoroughly enjoyable.More

We went here for late lunch, early dinner. We were very pleased with the different variety and it was delicious. I had the Bratty German Kid" and the combo. with the braut, sauer kraut, etc. hit the spot. Our only suggestion would be for them...to come up with some small sides (mac & cheese, mac salad, potato salad, etc.) in small plastic cups. These would only add to their great hotdog sandwiches.More

This was a perfect stop. Great selection of local craft beer, awesome atmosphere, and AMAZING dogs. To top it all off the staff was 10 out of 5 stars. If you’re close, don’t pass this up… there is nothing like it in your area

Our group of 4 was driving I90 and needed to stop for lunch. Looked at reviews on Trip Advisor and saw this place was ranked #2, so decided to stop since it was so close to highway. Fun, cute, very eccentric place. Food was good....Nice day so we could sit outside. Staff were nice and efficient. Although we had a pleasant experience, we did wonder about the other 300 restaurants in Erie, if this was #2!More

What a fun little place. And by little, I mean little. We stopped for lunch on our way through. I think they knew right away we were travelers, and they couldn’t have been more cheerful and nice. We order the Hog Dog, Nacho Average Hot...Dog and an American AF. Fortunately it was a nice day so we sat outside on the picnic tables. Even the sodas are unique and fun. We would definitely stop in the next time we are driving through.More

Stopped in for lunch. They specialize in uniquely topped hot dogs. There are a lot of choices!! We choose the Yankee dogs, Asian and Chicago dogs. We also got pretzel bites with horseradish cheddar. All were delicious! They also have craft beers on tap and...lots ans lots of canned choices. We were hungry and couldn’t decide on a beer so we just got fountain sodas. We sat inside and watched the chef create his magic. Not disappointed and happy we stopped. We left with full satsified bellies.More

The best hot dog restaurant we’ve ever been too! We found this place on Trip Advisor. From the outside, you could almost miss it even though it’s right in the road. Cute bar seating where you can talk to the cook! Large tent seating also....We split the Yanzer Hot Dog. Delicious! We also had Poutine fries, which we were told they were halting fries on their menu. Too bad because these were amazing. Very friendly staff! This place isn’t far off I-90. Make it a must stop in Erie! Then Drive to Presque Island to walk or bike off your meal!More

We placed a to go order online a half hour ahead. When we got there they said it would be a few more minutes. Almost 20 minutes passed when I asked how much longer it would be. The incredibly rude employee told me he didn't...know, they were very busy. I explained to him that we were just passing through and placed the order almost an hour ago. He asked the cooking staff how much longer and our ticket was still THREE away from getting cooked. So I demanded a refund as we didn't have the time plus it was getting ridiculous, it's freaking hot dogs, not a gourmet meal. When my boyfriend wrote a bad review on Google, this same incredibly rude employee responded even more rudely to him, lying and insulted me personally. Completely unprofessional, zero customer service skills let alone human decency skills. Never once offered an apology, never offered to make it right. Just excuses and rudeness. Don't waste your money on people like this, there are plenty of other dining options in Erie.More

This place should be on diners, drive-ins, and dives. I walked in the wrong door and ended up in a beer store. One door over is the place to order then I was directed into a heated tent. Damn good hot dog and really good...beer. I could eat the entire menu. Find this place and you will be happy - just dress for the occasion for its seating is in a heated tentMore

We stopped in for lunch on a cooler day. The person who took our order was friendly and enthusiastic. We got our drinks and grabbed a picnic table. It was cool but jackets helped. I was very happy to see you could get a veggie...dog. The dogs were well prepared and we gobbled them up.More

I am so sorry we didn't see this earlier!! The only sides we offer are potato chips. So, if you are looking for anything other than beer (and soda and water) or wieners, Lucky Louie's is not the place for you.
