We showed up on a Friday night without reservations and were told we were free to order drinks from their drinks tent and sit under the large open tent with socially distanced tables until a table was ready. We were told it would be about...45 minutes. (It would have been shorter if we had opted to eat inside but because of Covid, we decided to dine outside.) We took their advice and grabbed two cocktails and enjoyed lake breezes under the tent. Within 45 minutes, a hostess came for us and asked if the upper deck was okay. That was beyond okay because it was a top spot. Other tables didn't have lake views, but the top deck obviously did. So, now we enjoyed cocktails and the view. Our waitress was friendly and professional. We watched as staff sanitized every table before leading anyone to them, and staff all wore masks. For dinner, we ordered the perch and walleye baskets. Both were delicious. Ample pieces of hot fish crowded the baskets and we had no complaints. We really enjoyed eating here and would not hesitate to choose the Sloppy Duck Saloon again.More

My friend & I went to eat here; after my sister raved about it! We had to buy 5 duck bill masks also!! Tonya had the walleye! I had delicious crab cakes; that were cooked just so!! I had hard strawberry lemonade & a pineapple...mule! I loved seeing the darling juvenile ducks & turtles, in their pond! Aaron was an attentive, friendly waiter!!More

We took a trip to Erie for something to do. Luckily we found this place. They have the outside lot set up under big tent with lights & porta potties & some ashtrays for people that just want to sit and have a drink. tables...are spaced and you must wear mask when getting a drink or up and about. People were very nice. We only had nacho's which were just okMore

First time stop & plenty of room and privacy. The chicken salad croissant sandwich was excellent. Good thing Smuggler's Wharf (our first stop) wasn't open or we would have missed out on a wonderful lunch at the Sloppy Duck Saloon.

Coconut shrimp and walleye dinner delicious. Good, fruity drinks. Outdoor patios good for Covid-19 distancing. Short wait for patio.

It's about 15 minutes from Homewood Suites where we stayed - see my review-excuse typo in that review. Sloppy Duck is hard to find because you can't see restaurant from road. They had a digital sign out along the road saying Sloppy Duck Open. We...still couldn't see it but turned into the next driveway which was where JR's was located. Sign on building is JR's and Sloppy Duck is a small secondary sign that you really can't see until you get out of your car. Kids would love the statues and coy/duck pond. Waiter was nice. We had a view of the boats in the dock. I had a salad with a choice of meats. I ordered the crab cakes which only brought up the salad to $11.95 and I got 2 cakes! Very good.More

I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich. While the bun was good and the meat tender, the meat flavor itself was lacking. I even asked for a side of extra bbq that I added to sandwich. My husband enjoyed his fat tire haddock. The waffle...sweet potato fries were very good.More

Prices were quite reasonable with fresh seafood, steaks and chicken along with lovely starters that you don't see everywhere. Dining while watching yacht activity in the bay made this meal special, When in Erie I will put SD on my list.

Just what we needed after a day sail on Brig Niagara. Good food, good service, reasonable prices - all on the waterfront. I imagine it could get busy and noisy later - there's a full bar - but it suited us just fine.
