Like Dinner at Gram’s House

We had a wonderful dining experience! So close to Sunday dinner at Gram’s house! I had the trout which is always tender, tasty and seasoned so well. Our server Brittany took great care of us, served us quickly so the food was hot and she checked on us often for drink refills and anything else we may need. The kale, brussel sprout, cranberry salad was incredible!

go to cracker barrel for the food, never understand their business model with all that clutter and things i dont need in front of the store most of it over priced, anyway had a good waitress. you could tell that she was new but she did her best and i admire that in someone. had my favorite meat loaf and other sides along with corn bread, good experience as usual, get rid of the front cluttered entrance with yard sale stuff.

Food Good, Service Bad

Usually love going to this location for a breakfast. Today was not the day. Had to wait for a table because of the 25% seating (not sure if they have sent paperwork to State for 50%). Was only about a 5 minute wait. Got seated and the waitress got our drink order. I got a lemonade and my husband got a Coke. She finally came back and got our order. We waited nearly 20 minutes to get served. Our order was all mixed up. Husband got Uncle Herschel's breakfast. He asked for another egg and never did receive that. Somehow he got Okra and no grits and we had a side order of Fried Apples that neither of us had ordered. I got 2 eggs. hash brown casserole and asked if I could have a side of Okra. We got two side orders of Okra when she brought the order (which I love so I did not complain). She never came back to check on us until we were almost done eating. I had wanted some salt and my husband never got his extra egg. I had dropped my knife on the floor but wasn't able to get another since she never came back to check on us. When she finally did come back, she went to get some more drink for my husband and then 15 minutes later showed up with the check and realized she had forgotten his drink. She asked if she could get me a refill and I said yes. She brought back a Raspberry Lemonade instead of a regular Lemonade. She was really bad. We left her a less than 15% tip (we usually leave at least a 20%). If we go there and she is working, I will ask for another server.

Food was outrageously expensive

I went in to order a very simple breakfast. Pancakes and a side order of bacon. And some coffee. When I received my bill. I went into total shock! It's a good thing I didn't have a bad heart, because I would have gone into either a cardiac arrest or a heart attack! The bill was so high! And when I asked why, I was told that Cracker Barrel charges a whole lot more for a simple breakfast vs. a combo. Anyone knows that the pancake batter alone doesn't even cost that much! I knew the coffee was already too high., almost $3.00 just for a cup of coffee. After paying my bill, I literally felt like I had been robbed! I will never again eat in Cracker Barrel!!!

Return After A Few Months

Normally a customer every few weeks . After the store opened from closure during the pandemic , expected some changes , but was pleased . This week , we noted that our favorite " haddock dinner " was gone from the menu . In addition , the side salad that was included in " sides " was no longer available , but , at an additional cost . Overall , the food seemed to lack the flavor from the last few years , the mashed potatoes were always so-so ( Bob Evans much better ) , but the quality appeared waning overall . It does appear that increasing costs involved , but it also appears many food venues are trying to make up for lost revenues . Understand , but , really a good idea ?

Good Food, Good Service

This franchise was consistent with other Cracker Barrel restaurants we have visited. What stood out at this location was the smaller portion sizes. Portions were smaller than at other locations we've visited. The pancakes were an example. They still gave 3 pancakes on the Momma's pancake breakfast but the were definitely smaller. Also, we had the "loaded" hash brown casserole. The portion size was very small based on other locations. I want to be clear that there was still plenty of food and so I am not actually complaining about the portion sizes but just calling it out as noticeable. Overall, the breakfast was very enjoyable and we all left satisfied.

Since this place was across from my hotel I had takeout dinner. The process using the CB app worked well and the food was ready at the stated time. Unfortunately it was mostly a little disappointing. Fairly small portions for the price, and kinda bland.

Great meatloaf

We had both dinner and breakfast here on our way home from the south in our Rv. Ordered takeout by phone for dinner and in person for breakfast. Both methods of ordering worked well and meals were ready in a reasonable amount of time. The food was great in both cases and as normal staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

Family stopped at this location for dinner as we were traveling through the Erie area. Location was mildly busy at the time of our arrival, so we were able to be seated and served very shortly after speaking to the hostess. Server was rather polite and fairly helpful throughout our dining experience. Menu options and quality of food was in line with (or somewhat better than) what we’d expect from a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Quality of food was good, and portion sizes were reasonable.

One of the better ones!

We stayed at the Hotel next door, which had very expensive meals. We were lucky that this Cracker Barrel was next door! Great inexpensive breakfasts with large portions, and we loved the dinner selections especially the catfish! friendly , attentive, caring, waitresses and servers I would have given this a 5 star, but one evening we had to wait an hour for the food to arrive, as it was understaffed, and the manager had to cook the meals.

We went September 1, 2022. Our Hostess " Kelly " was not friendly and blatantly rude. We asked to sit in the back area, she said " no ". We then asked to be seated by the window. Again she replied " no " . We asked why not and was finally permitted the window seating. Moments later she sat a couple in the area we originally asked for. ? Half hour later she sat a couple behind us. She was rude to them too.. Our server Teresca was very friendly and helpful. She saved the dinner. Checking out I was number 6 in line. Only one person working the counter. Many people we purchasing trinkets etc that added much additional time. A lady if front of me asked her to get help. She did call but no one came to assist. I turned around and counted 6 more people behind me. They were lined up close to the restroom door area. We typically come there often and have for many years. The food was fine and Teresca great but will be a long time before we return again ( if ever ) J Rainey Erie ,Pa

Disappointing

Ordered the vegetable soup.. Yuk..it was like cans of vegetables was dumped in a pot..gross. I have never had vegetable soup with croutons! Used to be a great spit. Best part is looking at the gift store, but way over priced.

Awesome dining experience

What a great experience! Our waitress Tonya was awesome. Very attentive and made us feel like she was glad we were there. Our food arrived exactly as we had ordered and was hot and delicious. They had the fireplace lit on this cold, snowy day. That lifted our spirits. Cracker Barrel needs more waitresses like Tonya. Great job. Thanks

The food was good. The wait was long (over an hour). There is no where to sit inside and wait. It was very inconvenient for my mom who used a rollater type walker. She could sit on the rollater, but we jad to keep moving her out of the way. A staff member actually tried to have us stand against a wall, so we couldn't even walk around to shop and browse.
