Stopped in on a Saturday for breakfast. We were greated immediately from the staff and grabbed an open booth. The diner has maybe 6 or 7 booths and roughly 12 counter top seats. We had eggs, bacon, home fries and toast all cooked perfect. They kept our drinks topped off. We only had one issue during our visit. I went up to the counter and paid, my wife stayed in the booth. After paying, I walked to the booth and got my wife then exited, once outside we were tracked down by one of the staff questioning if we had paid our bill. We of course said yes and one of the other staff members confirmed that we just finished paying. Not sure where that confusion came from. I am almost sure the staff member that questioned us was the one I paid. If so, you guys might to keep an eye on her and make sure is ok.

What a diner or should I say dinor! This is the only dinor in Pennsylvania on the National Register of Historic Places. The Lawrence Park Dinor takes you back to those memorable 50’s. There are five booths, each of which can accommodate four people. But, in our day in the ‘50s, we could always squeeze in more. There are eight swivel seats on each side of the dinor. The walls are adorned with signs, plaques and photographs of yesteryear. A happy atmosphere and a feel-good place to dine. The husband-and-wife team who own the dinor, were very welcoming. The dinor has a great staff and all were very accommodating. A had a Reuben Sandwich for my lunch and a slice of the Mix Berry Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream. The pie alone was reason enough to dine there. All our food was very good. No wonder the dinor receives such good reviews and has been the #1 place to eat in Erie every year since 2010 when the owners bought the dinor. NOTE: When leaving the dinor read the sign above the door way.

We have never, ever had a negative experience at the Lawrence Park Dinor. The owners are friendly and involved,, the service is always terrific, the food is delectable and there are no words for how good the desserts are. (Insert peanut butter pie here.) Do yourself a favor and head there asap!

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning for the first time. Lawrence Park is a small town, and the Dinor was a gem. I had fresh eggs, hash browns, and home fries all cooked perfectly, and served with a friendly smile. The owner was also very welcoming to us on our first time in. Would sure go back!!

Step back 50 years into this dinor. Such a small place in an aging are. Family cooks and home style goodness. Large portions and pancakes that are so light they float into your mouth. My only question how about potty sausage not links and less paprika on the home fry’s… go there for their memory.

Great place for unique ambiance, friendly service, and yummy food. Loved the vintage setting, open kitchen, huge portions, and staff that make you feel like locals who eat here daily. They have outdoor seating too. Our kids loved it.

I Googled “Best diners in Erie” and lucked out when we found the Lawrence Dinor. The food was fabulous! I recommend sitting at the counter where you can watch the chef, Nick, cooking nonstop plates of delicious dishes. It’s like watching a smooth dancer in action! The service is friendly, Nick knows his stuff, is very personable and you certainly can’t leave hungry!

I went to lunch with my sister; usually we go to the Dinor for breakfast but we were too late. This was my lucky day! I was able to preview a new sandwich they will soon be adding to the menu. A baked chicken caprese sandwich with roasted red pepper sauce and mozzarella on grilled Asiago bread. It was fabulous! Dawn (the owner) thought it needed some green so they sent over some wonderful homemade pesto to add to it. I can’t tell you how wonderful this sandwich was! The red pepper sauce and the pesto were the crowning glory on a very tender piece of boneless chicken breast and the Asiago bread was exactly right for this sandwich. I guess I’ll be showing up for lunch more often!!

From the minute we sat down at the counter we felt welcome, despite being from Atlanta and realizing that almost everyone knew each other. The staff were friendly, the people next to us told us about the winters in Erie, the lady behind us reading her book chatted with us about colleges ( we were just off from touring OH colleges), and Jim chatted with us about the history of the dinor and how the name " dinor" came to be. We had the Greek smashburger and it was the best burger my daughter and I have ever had! We were also given a sample of the delicious "wedding soup" that they had made up and all that was left was a few spoonfuls. He also brought us some " Greek sauce" to try - it was a yummy meat sauce that they put over burgers, fries, etc. My daughter had never been to a diner before and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience on our drive up to Toronto via Erie. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be back. It was like its own version of " Cheers"!

The staff was friendly right off the bat. The atmosphere was great and so was the food. I had the Greek dog with a side of fried corn nuggets and my Wife had the ruben with a side of onion rings. All the food was great, the Greek sauce was full of flavor and left a little bit of heat on the back end. We will be back for sure.

There are many places in Erie to get breakfast. None of them hold a candle to the Lawrence Park Dinor in my opinion. The first reason is the old traditional diner built in the style of a railway car, made by a company in New Jersey. There are few of these cultural landmarks still standing, and it is worth a visit just for the authentic old diner feel. You might come for the nostalgia but you will stay for the excellent breakfast. The next reason is that the food is great, the bacon always crispy, the home fries are great and the eggs to order are all done perfectly. Last but not at all least is the service. Everybody there is always friendly and smiling from the cook to the waitstaff. I would like to recognize Shanna for particular praise. She waited on me every time I visited recently, I think 4 or 5 times in 3 weeks, and every time she was friendly, had a big smile and was fast and efficient. Too often nowadays I have had average to poor service in other restaurants. I wish all of the waitstaff in Erie were as cheerful and wonderful as Shanna at the Lawrence Park Dinor! I am back in Poland and I miss the Park Dinor and Shanna already!

First found this fantastic Dinor when we visited our friends in Erie back in 2004. Me and my wife eat there all the time when we visit the USA. The food is fresh clean and delicious. We own a small cafe, dinor in Norwich Norfolk in the UK you can find us on Facebook as the brunchbar Norwich. We just love this bit of American history and have got a special part in our cafe with pictures of the Lawrence Park dinor just to spread the our love for the great people who run the dinor. Keep up the good work guys I wish we could there right now.

If you're looking for gourmet, then this isn't the place. This is a normal food dinor with the best breakfast in town. Huge fluffy pancakes, fresh eggs, thick sliced toast, crispy bacon, home fries and great coffee... all for a fair price and great service. Only suggestion would be to up the quality of the OJ... it didn't match the quality of the rest of the meal. It is small, so there is definitely going to be a wait during prime time on the weekends, but well worth it. Haven't tried lunch yet, but will soon. Definitely lives up to the ratings.

Rainy, lazy day and we didn’t get out of our lake rental until after noon, but we still wanted breakfast. What better place for breakfast than a diner (or in this case, dinor)? Well, they had their lunch menus out and we were informed that they stop serving breakfast at 11:00. Bummer. BUT the head cook (chef, really, and a gem of a guy) said that he’d help us out since they were in a slower period of the day. He really went out of his way to accommodate us. He whipped up some pancakes, toast, sausage, bacon and home fries. The food was just as we were hoping for; the perfect dinor breakfast! My first sip of coffee, I knew it was something special. Turns out, the dinor has their own custom blend made by a coffee company. Then, there’s the cinnamon buns, produced by a local bakery but served up hot off the grill here. Wow! Our server was sweet, attentive and helpful. She even set us up with coffees to go. The banter with the staff was nice and I learned a few things about the dinor and the area. I’m not saying everybody should expect the same experience, but ours was great and I have no problem recommending the Lawrence Park Dinor.

I don't get to Erie that often but my trip always includes breakfast here. The staff is awesome nice and the food is delicious. There is something special about their blueberry pancakes, besides the ton of fresh blueberries in them! Every bite includes a berry.
