Expect a wait, worth it.

Everywhere you go for breakfast, there is a wait. This a is a popular town for Spring Break and breakfast is a hot meal. However, the wait was a lot shorter here compared to other places, the customer service was friendly and honest, and the food was very fresh and tasty and low in price compared to ours back home. I was impressed and very happy with our visit. I highly recommend visiting this cute little Cafe. They have great orange juice as well. I got the omelette of the day but their cinnamon French toast is amazing too!

Family breakfast for 4

Cute place with booth seating. Food delicious with generous portions. Our drinks weren’t exemplary- coffee and chai tea, so skip the drinks. We had the pancake special, smoked salmon scramble, avocado toast and shrimp eggs Benedict. All were fantastic.

Didn't have time for full breakfast, but it looked great. They served high quality bakery type bread that made delicious toast. Wanted to go again, but so did everyone else it seemed. Busy place, but I see why!

Breakfast on Vacation

Service was very good (happy and friendly), but our poor waitress was overwhelmed. I had shrimp eggs benedict and it wasn't anything to write home about... Despite the English muffin stated on the menu, it was served on a dry, crusty roll. Blech.

Not worth the money

We decided to sit on one of there picnic tables and when I ordered I noticed they charged 18% gratuity for take out. Didn’t see that and eating a skimpy meal with a short plastic fork was disappointing. I had something with shredded chicken, bad corn and there homemade black beans. There was one of there fried corn something. Not impressed in least. My spouse had scrambled eggs and those corn cakes. 33 dollars for this was a rip. No service. Never again

terrible hangtown fry

I was very disappointed in the hangtown fry as the oyster had disintegrated and just had remnants of their existence. What bothered me the most was mentioning it to the waitress who only said the oysters should be in there somewhere? I have had good meals here, but this wasn't the time and the attitude really frustrated me. Will try other places.

Best Breakfast!

Hands down the best breakfast. We've visited twice in the last month. Yesterday we ate in and had Huevos Rancheros which were excellent. A couple of weeks ago we got eggs benedict to go, and omlette and the bear pancakes for the kids and these were also excellent. Of special note. These guys know how to make the best Hollandaise sauce! Their Arepas are wonderful and the chicken with Huevos rancheros makes the breakfast so hearty we skipped lunch because we were still full from breakfast!

A Gem in Seaside

I recently relocated to the North Coast and had the opportunity to have breakfast the the Osprey Cafe. Luckily, it is literally within walking distance of my house. I can't say enough good things about this place! We were kindly greeted, the menu is fantastic and the service couldn't be beat. I had my current favorite - avocado toast with two poached eggs on top and it did not disappoint. The coffee and water kept coming and our server was delightful. The fruit that was served with my order was of high quality and delicious. This place is small and I imagine it is very busy in the summer. Highly recommend. I can't wait to go back!

Check if they are open before you make the trek

This little cafe is all the way at the southern end of the Prom, but was well worth the walk, actually two walks,as I failed to check if they were open on Wednesday before walking from 1st Ave clear down to Ave U, where they are back one block from the beach. I had the Kale/Cabbage salad which was delicious, but not what I was expecting, as it was a huge mound of chopped bacon, avocado and black beans, along with a very small amount of greens. When it was served all by itself I asked for a piece of bread, got one slice of toast and was charged $3 for it. (Hence the reduced rating to 4 rather than a 5.) The salad portion was so generous it made a nice snack later in the day.

Great vegan scramble! Mmmmmm!!!! The crispy potatoes were the best ever! Daughter enjoyed her pancakes and husband had yummy delicious chicken and waffles (special for the day, not always on menu). Service was exceptionally friendly and hardworking. Loved our visit!

Poor customer service

Very poor customer service. We waited right outside the restaurant for them to call us. After an hour and twenty minutes we went in to check on our reservation. They said we called you. So I asked them to double check the number and they had it written down correctly. There is absolutely no way they called as I had no missed calls and we were sitting right in front of the restaurant. To top it off as we went in to ask about our reservation, two people walked in and were seated immediately With no reservation I might add. That table was never offered to us and to be frank they did not even seem sorry for the situation. We are locals we "used" to frequent this spot. We believe in tipping well as customer service is most important, second to the food quality. The poor customer service and miss management is saddening. The way they handled the situation was incredibly unprofessional and exhibited poor customer service. This is very unfortunate as the food is amazing. Unfortunately customer service is not a priority. In these unprecedented times you would think that they would take customer service very seriously and treat customers as they should. I feel they need to re-evaluate the management style.

Perfect Late Lunch

Stopped in for a late lunch. The pork belly banh mi sandwich caught my eye but I couldn't pass up a side order of the arepa, a delicious corn cake made with cheese and served with salsa. No wait, prompt and friendly service, and great food!

We went here with friends based on its #1 rating, but we were disappointed. There are many better restaurants in Seaside. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the food, but they were very inflexible about the food. I suspect a lot of their food was premixed/premade. One guest had a restricted diet and asked that the potatos be left out of one dish -- can't do it. Could they replace X with Y in another dish: same reason, same answer. If it's premade, of course they can't make changes, but most restaurants have a way to accommodate special needs. Not here. I'm also told the coffee was just so-so. With tip, about $30/per person.

Loved this restaurant!

We visited Osprey two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much the first day, we just had to go back! We entered on a rainy day, and as we entered, we felt warmly welcomed. Our server was very friendly and helpful, as well as quick. We had our coffee almost before we were settled! We had eggs and bacon and an omelette with fruit instead of potatoes. Both meals were perfect! The second day, we ordered one of the daily specials which was a delicious waffle with marionberry syrup along with eggs and bacon. They far exceeded our expectations! The coffee was great too. All of the employee were exceptionally friendly and welcoming!

Best Breakfast in Seaside

Simply amazing food not your typical cafe Very clever and inventive cooking options We tried a copy of new breakfast items 1. Nasi Goreng -indonesian rice with vegetables, sautéed shrimp, chicken topped with sunny side up egg and sweet soy sauce 2.Arepas-3 plump hearty south american corn n cheese cakes -crispy outside and soft in the middle served with 2eggs Fresh local ground coffee Mind blowing meal! Stop here !!!!!
