If this were a stand alone resturant, be that not in a hotel lobby, rating would be a top rating of 5. I say this only thing because getting to the resturant itself can be trialing if not staying at the hotel. We have dined...More

Good selection of steaks and a pleasant restaurant to eat in. Staff and service is always good. I’ve tried a few different steaks now, and all have always been cooked to perfection.

We had breakfast at the Urban farmer after staying at the Nines during the first night of our wine tour. The breakfast menu had a great selection of items that we both enjoyed.

Family of four. We had breakfast here and it was superb. Must try the chicken cherry sausage. I had the honey biscuit pictured. It was heavenly. Definately worth it.

We reserved the Barrel Room (private event space) at Urban Farmer for our wedding dinner. It was very easy to plan our event. We really appreciated how easy it was to plan our menu and the room layout, and how flexible the guidelines were for...More

The restaurant is located in a 5 stars hotel and it is an interesting concept to combine farmers fresh products served in a elegant country style setting. Very good service in a garden like atmosphere, good food and peraphs a bit expensive, but to be...More

We went to a trail Blazer game and was hungry after. We decided to come here and grab a burger. The burger was eh. The fries were soggy and Luke warm. I know it's late but expected more.

I was in Portland again on vacation and my family and I stopped by like we usually try to do. The staff was exceptional as always and really tended to our needs. If you've never been, this cozy Portland restaurant is a must-try!

No way. We found the service disinterested, and the place itself is very self absorbed, but it wasn't that slow.

I follow a gluten free diet and was able to easily eat gluten free at Urban Farmer. Some restaurants say food is gf and then I have a reaction, but not at UF. All clear!

Urban Farmer redefines the modern steakhouse with an emphasis on Northwest, sustainable ingredients and simple, straightforward preparations within a farmer chic environment. The menu honors national and local culinary traditions sourcing ingredients from some of the Northwest’s finest eco-friendly producers like Sudan Farms, Wooden Bridge, Nicky Farms, and Cattail Creek. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and happy hour, Urban Farmer remains a reliable and approachable destination amidst Portland’s bustling food scene.Designer David Ashen of D-ASH Design in New York created a unique restaurant space within the 8th floor atrium lobby of the Nines Hotel. The space makes use of organic, reclaimed and modern materials such as a 20-foot communal table sourced from an old-growth Douglas Fir. The spacious “Deck” captures the light-hearted feel of outdoor dining and is accented by a field of wheat grass in the center of the room. A video installation by one of Portland’s favorite experimental artists, Matt McCormick, rolls stunning images of the city’s rural and urban landscapes. The “Pantry” offers an intimate setting with walls of steel and reclaimed timber, as well as shelves stacked with vibrant jars of pickled fruits and vegetables. The Library , adjacent to Urban Farmer in the lobby, is the ideal venue for guests to host private parties, play a game of pool or enjoy a quiet cocktail.
