One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Portland, hands down. I used to live in the Bethany area but now I've sadly moved away, however, this place will always be on my list when I go back to town! Exceptional service in a unique atmosphere. Everything on their menu is always so fresh and tasty, I can always count on... More

Always eager to try a different Brunch experience and Urban Farmer was a HIT. The omelet station, eggs Benedict, desserts and coffee drinks were phenomenal! Staff was attentive even during this hectic and busy time of reservations. Will certainly come back for their late night food menu, atmosphere and to soak up the night life :)

We ate lunch and dinner here, fantastic!! We stayed at the Nines hotel and had a late lunch here our first day. The food is wonderful, decent drink menu, and a "cool" vibe to the place. We also made reservations for dinner one night and had a wonderful meal. Everyone had a different dish, each one amazing! They also had... More

Fantastic ingredients, good prices, huge portions. You should consider a reservation. On Sunday at 11:30 they did accommodate us at the bar, and we did not have a reservation. This place is bright, open and has a good vibe. The skillet pancake is fantastic, but huge!

We were excited to go to Urban Farmer for a great steak dinner but it didn't live up to our expectations. It was very expensive considering they sent out the wrong steaks, the steaks were cooked incorrectly, the food was not seasoned well, and on top of that it was very expensive. After our experience I wouldn't recommend it.

Breakfast, the most important meal of the day. The steak eggs bennie at Urban Farmer? The way to start a great day! The staff was gracious and friendly, and courteous to the point of concern. The coffee was delicious, the mood was easy, and the service was prompt. There looked to be a great variety of food, but we both... More

Skegger, I am very happy to hear that your breakfast experience with us was stellar and memorable. Those house made English muffins on the eggs Benedict are truly exceptionable! Thank you for your review and we hope to see once again in our dining room. More

I would highly recommend this restaurant. While I find the decor not to my taste, the food was excellent. It is definitely expensive, but it is worth the money. We had a bit of a discussion at the start, but the kitchen was accommodating with our requests, and even sent out a foie gras appetizer that we did not order.... More

Description
Urban Farmer redefines the modern steakhouse with an emphasis on Northwest, sustainable ingredients and simple, straightforward preparations within a farmer chic environment. The menu honors national and local culinary traditions sourcing ingredients from some of the Northwest’s finest eco-friendly producers like Sudan Farms, Wooden Bridge, Nicky Farms, and Cattail Creek. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, weekend brunch and happy hour, Urban Farmer remains a reliable and approachable destination amidst Portland’s bustling food scene.Designer David Ashen of D-ASH Design in New York created a unique restaurant space within the 8th floor atrium lobby of the Nines Hotel. The space makes use of organic, reclaimed and modern materials such as a 20-foot communal table sourced from an old-growth Douglas Fir. The spacious “Deck” captures the light-hearted feel of outdoor dining and is accented by a field of wheat grass in the center of the room. A video installation by one of Portland’s favorite experimental artists, Matt McCormick, rolls stunning images of the city’s rural and urban landscapes. The “Pantry” offers an intimate setting with walls of steel and reclaimed timber, as well as shelves stacked with vibrant jars of pickled fruits and vegetables. The Library , adjacent to Urban Farmer in the lobby, is the ideal venue for guests to host private parties, play a game of pool or enjoy a quiet cocktail.
