I have known about The Golden Lamb all my life. Came here as a child and teen. I love the atmosphere of this historical hotel. The food was a little disappointing for the price. The fried cheese curds and biscuits with bacon jam were very...good but my fried chicken entree was small and a bit dry. Mashed potatoes with gravy were too salty. The vegetables on the side were very small in size but tasted good. I also was disappointed with the menu selection. Wish there was more to choose from.More

I hadn't been to The Golden Lamb in over a decade. Coming in off a crisp October 30th day, the streets were buzzing with costumed children & parents. There was Trick or Treating inside many of the businesses - including The Golden Lamb. We had...tremendous service & I don't remember the last time I had food delivered that fast to my table in this current environment. Items we tried: the complimentary buttery rolls with homemade apple butter signature side salad full turkey dinner with sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries In house made carrot cake coffee The entire meal from beginning to end was fantastic. Nowadays most restaurants charge for bread - not the Golden Lamb! Plus you get the delicious fall staple....apple butter! The traditional turkey entree was everything you want from a hearty Thanksgiving style homage plate. 2 large slices of turkey atop all of the sides mentioned. Too good! I asked our server for the dessert run down. Everything is made in house, I believe, except the Bonbonerie Opera Creme slices. We went with the carrot cake slab. The house made whipped cream was worth the price of admission - perfect! The coffee they make is called Royal Cup from California. Delicious! They do charge $3.95 per person for coffee which I thought was the only sticker shock item. This restaurant is HUGE! Every room is historically different & appointed so. There is a one person unisex bathroom on the main floor & the ladies room is on the second floor. I'm not sure if there is an elevator. A beautiful fall motif surround the hearth & roaring fire with the tremendous golden lamb hovering above. A perfect Fall lunch.More

This restaurant has gone down hill, it used to be great but has changed in many ways. It is still expensive for dinner and the portions are on the small size and not both meats we were served were of poor quality, prim rib and...steak, and over cooked from what we ordered. Side portions of other items on the dinner plates were very small in size. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 65 years. I used to consider it a four star restaurant but now for what the charge, expensive, maybe it should not have any stars. Service was good, iced tea was good, parking was good. That says it all.More

Many amazing gluten free options - pork shank and the pink peppermint patty gelato were delicious. Historic, inviting setting. Why four stars and not five? Lacks baby changing table, from what I could tell and husband likes a ‘deeper’ carrot cake. We had an infant...and toddler with us but didn’t feel awkward in such an upmarket restaurant. Staff were friendly, toddler was provided with a fun activity and the children’s menu was great.More

We decided to try The Golden Lamb because of the positive reviews and history. We arrived without a reservation but were seated promptly with a smile. The atmosphere was historic and inviting. Our server was friendly with exceptional knowledge of the menu and wine. We...were very pleased with the warm rolls served with a side of apple butter. We enjoyed every last one! The menu was unique and appropriately sized. We ordered the Turkey Reuben and Original Sticky Burger. Both were delish and we couldn’t finish the entire portion. We also enjoyed several perfectly arranged cocktails during happy hour. We plan to visit The Golden Lamb again before our vacation is over. This is a must stop place.More

We ate here for a special occasion. We ordered a couple of drinks, the sauerkraut balls, the prime rib and the NY strip. Everything was very tasty, the service was great and the building is beautiful! We enjoyed walking around and touring the upstairs after...dinner. I appreciate all the effort they've made to share the history of the build and all the famous visitors that have been there over the years. We would eat here again for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey for a typical dinner out.More

I can honestly state, this was one of our worst experiences along our stops to visit our daughter at Miami University. Food was served cold. Staff was rude. Because my husband ALSO attended Miami University and his parents stopped at the establishment once (back in...the late 70's), we tried it again. Absolutely awful and would never recommend! Unfortunately the "When did you travel?" drop down only allows the user to select as far back as Feb 2020. We did frequent this establishment twice prior to 2020. I'm sure it hasn't changed much. We have not been to ANY restaurants since COVID-19 - choosing only to order take-out.More

We live close by and haven't been here for YEARS! Our four kids have never been here...but we figured we would give it a try on our way to a holiday light display in Cincinnati. It was AMAZING! Such a wonderful surprise! Wish we had...this on rotation of restaurants sooner. Everything from the apps to dessert was delicious. Lamb shank, Salmon, Fried Chicken, Shepard's Pie, Turkey/Pork and Dressing, Smoked wings, sauerkraut balls, biscuits with bacon and honey...all DELICIOUS! Make sure to give it a try!More

We were a party of 8 celebrating our parents' 60th anniversary. We were graciously given a private room and the staff was attentive and very professional. The food was fabulous, as it has been for years and years. The ambience is superb; The Golden Lamb...always reminds me of the taverns at Colonial Williamsburg. The meal is not only delicious but the entire experience is incredibly memorable.More
