We were so looking forward to our meal but I left feeling slightly disappointed. My friend chose the duck breast which was served in two pieces. The first was tender and delicious but the second was inedible, full of sinew type of substance, which was...difficult for the chef to identify before cooking. My halibut was very tasty , but served with small pieces of peppers , not the roasted vegetables I was expecting. My chocolate pot dessert was good but so dense , maybe I opted for the wrong choice after a very filling starter and main course. I would go back as my previous visit had been excellent; maybe we were unlucky.More

You wouldn't know this restaurant was there, we found out about it on tripadvisor. Inside is a joy, like being outside - but under cover. The food and wine is excellent, good value for money, and the staff are lovely. Next time we are in...Richmond, we will be returning to Rustique.More

Visited this restaurant on a visit to Richmond having pre-booked a table. We were shown immediately to our table on arrival and the subsequent service was very quick. We both had chicken supreme which was well presented and well cooked, I would highly recommend this...restaurant.More

Had a lovely evening, who’d believe this little gem was hidden away off Finkle Street.? A little taste of France; really enjoyed the food and a glass or two of French wine, dogs welcome which was a pleasant surprise. Well worth a visit ….

I had "French onion soup", the French are famous for their cheese, I doubt very much if any proud French chef would use Red Leicester in their food but they did here. Coincidentally I went to Rustique in York a few days later where they...cooked it properly. The rest of the meal was unremarkable. I would not recommend this place.More

We have eaten here on a number of occasions and had wonderful food, excellent service and a fabulous time. Tonight failed miserably on all counts. Service was incredibly slow and the restaurant was a lot less busy than previous times. This is supposed to be...a French restaurant but at 6.30pm half of the menu was unavailable. At this point we would have left but someone else in our party was treating us and thus we felt unable to voice our disappointment. My pate was uninspiring with a red onion marmalade which was simply lumps of onion. My Sea Bass was lukewarm at best, covered in way too much oil and far too may capers, over salted and the potatoes were cold. To top it all, the coffee machine was broken which, when I laughed given how bad everything else had been, the waitress snapped at me that "it's not my fault!". Well it certainly wasn't my fault was it?! Whilst one of the waitresses was doing her best to be cheerful and helpful, apologising for everything, the other one was bad tempered, snappy and just downright rude. Don't think we'll be going back very soon, if ever. 2 stars is being very generous.More

We had an enjoyable and tasty meal here, and the service from the staff was friendly and efficient. The food had a French authenticity, and the decor was Parisian. A little gem of a restaurant hidden away from view so you have to know it's...there. It hasn't stopped customers finding it though !!!More

Lovely food and great service. Steak was beautiful, as was the lamb. Starters of mussels and brie were also generous and tasty.

I wouldn’t call it a large menu, but they were offering both the lunch and evening menus for dinner when we were there a couple of weeks ago, so enough options available.

I never saw one tbh. But there were a few children there,so I would think they would do smaller portions. Most restaurants are pretty good at accommodating kiddies.
