Booked a table for two, we had been a few times before and knew what to expect foodwise. The meal was very good, plenty of it and it is a real proper sunday lunch. We usually only have the small portion as you have got...to have a really good appetite to eat the larger portions. The only thing that disappointed me was the amount of dogs in the pub. Now dont get me wrong I like dogs a lot and it is a country pub so understand this but I really am not fond of dogs being all around me when I am eating but I expect it is the pubs owners who decide but I have never seen as many dogs this time.More
After 50 years in catering I visited the bull on Sunday. May I say this was the Sunday lunch I have eaten for years .the only problem was I ordered a medium lunch I didn't believe the amount of food so I was told off...by landlady and told to order a small next time .I live in Leeds but will make a point of going back for lunch again. Thanks for keeping food traditional.More
Called into the Bull inn whist visiting the area last week. The Bull is a nice friendly place that serves up good food. We spent the evening there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Certainly recommended and will return next time we are in the area.
Called here for sunday dinner with my partner and mum.
We all had different meats all beautiful cooked. Plenty of fresh veg. Had no room for pudding but what we saw looked wonderful.
Staff were very attentive and checked we had everything we required.
Couldn't...fault the whole experience we will be back.
We actually visited this pub after reading reviews about how amazing it was and just needed to check it out! Well we were not disappointed in the slightest - we rang on the Saturday and they actually managed to book us in for 6:30 that...night. The service was brilliant from start to finish, all members of staff were really friendly and appeared to actually enjoy their job which was really lovely to see. The food was A M A Z I N G and was so impressed by how quickly it arrived even though it was really busy! It is also dog friendly which is an added bonus as we took our dogs along with us. Wish we lived closer as we would be there all the time! Thanks again for your service, it was brilliant.More
Came here when in the area some years ago and decided to try again even though we knew it had changed hands. Didn't disappoint. Great home cooked food, good portion sizes and something for everyone, will definitely be back when I am this way again
While on holiday nearby we decided to try the local pubs for meals out. This place is by far the best food we have had for months not just on holiday but at home.
The food was amazing plenty of choice very very friendly staff...we hadn’t booked just called on the off chance and they managed to find us a table at a very busy time.
They were accommodating to dietary needs too for my little one.
Plenty of drink choices too.
Will be going back next time we are in the area.More
