We were all meeting for a family "Get Together" 9 of us ranging from a baby to OAP's. We booked a table in advance and everything was set up and ready for us when we arrived.
They have a very good selection of draught ales, larger and cider including a very well kept pint of London Pride!
We were shown the menu and everything was available which was impressive as this was the 27th Dec!
We all made our choices and they were very accommodating when someone wanted a variation on the menu.
All the food arrived together and without delay and was nicely presented and had very generous proportions!
The staff were very attentive and looked after us very well.
I would recommend this pub without reservation. Finally there is a decent sized car park.

We really enjoyed our evening at the Kings Arms. We were staying at a hotel just up the road and were looking for somewhere for dinner. Booking had been efficient and very friendly. The pub is clean and cosy and is very nicely decorated inside. There is a good choice of meals on the menu and the food is well priced. Our meals were delicious and all the food we saw being served looked extremely nice. The staff are both attentive and friendly. There were clearly a lot of regular customers returning for their first post lockdown meal with discussions of returning the following week which says it all really. Wish this was our local - we would visit regularly !

A lovely pub restaurant which ensures covid guidance, set in a small town with easy access from the main road and good parking. Ideal for lunches and dinner alike eating inside in the cosy bar restaurant area or out in the heated outdoor area with a generous sized pub garden with a marquee to keep you dry if weather changes. The menu is small with carefully selected choices of starters, mains, and desserts a little something of everything for everyone really. The food portions are of a generous size and you will certainly leave there with the feeling of having been well fed . We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there and they even found a meal for my daughter which wasn't even on the menu as she wasn't keen on the main choices available that evening. The staff were lovely and polite and always helpful and we will certainly be returning there soon

My wife and I encouraged 5 other local friends to visit and enjoy the massive garden and a wood fired pizza in the sunshine.
We were both left embarrassed. On the face of it the pizzas smelt good but were sparsely topped. (We were left feeling that we would have been better off going to the Co Op and buying a pizza to bake at home). Two of our friends ordered garlic prawns. For the price I would have expected something more than 4 x prawns, a big slab of butter and some lettuce.
Such a shame as it became a talking point fir the rest of the day.

Booked for Sunday lunch and was told only second sitting available at 2:30pm which was fine.We decided to walk the mile from our holiday cottage so we both could enjoy a drink with our lunch. When we arrived it was obvious the three girls behind the bar were extremely busy.We were shown to our table and shortly after we were given menus and our drinks order taken.Twenty minutes later one of the girls came to take our food order and apologised as they had no more roast lunches left! We then had to choose something different. For me Sunday lunch is all about roast meat, Yorkshire pudding etc not a lasagne, fish and chips or a beef burger. The waiting staff were very friendly but the experience was poor.

I am sorry you were disappointed not to be able to have and enjoy one of our sunday lunches, specifically a roast , as you noted it was very busy , while we try and cater for everyone's tastes , there are occasions that we run out of items, Having been closed for over 100 days and there is still a lot of uncertainty about coming out to the pub we have no idea as to what people will order and due to our outside space and it being a great day weather wise we were indeed very busy on food , should people specifically want roasts we always encourage customers to pre book there roasts on the second sitting inside , as a standard we do not reheat roast meats which have been previously cooked and work when they have gone they have gone , next time should you be in the area please email us or phone so we can take a pre order to ensure you have your roasts,

Having enjoyed sunday lunch in the past we visited the pub today having heard about the new outdoor pizza oven.
I had what was supposed to be garlic/chilli King prawns £7.99
4 prawns no better than something from Iceland thrown in a bowl with a sad looking bit of lettuce with no flavour whatsoever.
As for the pizzas they smelt lovely but toppings were so thin they became almost transparent
Spoilt a lovely afternoon

Came across this place by chance when out for a walk. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We order a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was delicious. It was Chilean so you may want to specify if you prefer another sort. We both has the fish and chips. Piping hot, lovely light batter and chunky chips. Just what we wanted we were very hungry! Reasonable prices and ample parking. Would like to back in warmer weather to check out the garden.

So I’ve been in the pub many times before drinking alcohol but I’ve never bought a Diet Coke before. When the young lady told me the bill was £14 I was surprised…1 lager 2 cokes 1 packet of peanuts.
Now I asked her if that was the correct price I never moaned I was just surprised especially as I know coke isn’t that expensive in other pubs in the area. That’s it I was just surprised. I wasn’t rude just taken back by how much it cost.
Anyway the young lady then told me if I don’t like it I should go to spoons (Weatherspoons) which took me back and the next customer behind me.
When I went to my seat in the garden (which I will say is a lovely beer garden) the chap who was behind me in the queue came over and said how rude the lady behind the bar was.
Safe to say I won’t be going back to this pub in a hurry and I gladly be telling everyone I know in the local area to steer clear with service like this.

I was with 10 friends for lunch today and all selected a different choice. Everyone commented that the 3 course lunch was of exceptional value, perfectly cooked, presented and served. There is nowhere better to have this experience in a pub.
The Landlord and Staff make sure everyone is pleased and comfortable with their experience.

The pub has a new outdoor seating area with a pizza oven, as well as the existing huge gardens. We had a pepperoni pizza and a goats cheese which was loaded with toppings, olives, pesto, plenty of cheese. Freshly cooked, crispy base, it was one of the best pizzas i've ever eaten. We will be back very soon!

Dined here while staying just outside the village. Lovely small and welcoming pub. Good, honest food cooked to a high standard. I had the beef pie which was full of tender meat and my husband had the belly pork, both cooked and well presented. Good value for money. Very friendly young ladies serving behind the bar. Most welcome pub on a frosty and cold evening in December. Would definitely recommend but would also book a table which can be done online and confirmation email promptly returned.

Visited this weekend having heard rumours of a new pizza menu. The pizza was faultless, pepperoni, decent amount of toppings etc.
My visit was slightly marred by a load of boomers at the next table discussing how they would word their false review "to teach these uppity lefties a lesson about freedom" after the pub insisted they adhere to social distancing rules.
But that's not the pubs fault, so although I've not seen a review from them yet, if you see anything from a middle-aged Karen about prawns just ignore it!

I was in the KA yesterday and there may have been a second person complaining about the price of coke.
The one I saw seemed to be quite assertive (perhaps unintentionally and not appreciating how they were coming across) towards the girl serving the customer who appeared be having a go at the young woman for the price of the drinks and continuing to loudly voice their displeasure as they left the bar. Even in a busy bar I was able to hear and therefore take notice of him.
Pub staff have to put up with a load of old rubbish from people every day for poor pay. Cut them some slack I say and give them break.
In my experience as a reasonably frequent customer of the pub that member of staff is excellent

We have eaten at the Kings Arms twice this month and had a very good experience on both occasions. The first time we enjoyed a beautiful lamb and mint pie with the best crispy chips I have had for a long time. Service was friendly and efficient. The second time we had Masala mushrooms on toast as a starter, this was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the lambs liver and I had to have Scampi so I could have the wonderful chips again! The young lady who served us was lovely and so patient with one of the more elderly members of our party. The Kings Arms is now one of our favourite places to eat in Emsworth. Good food for a sensible price.
