The Lavash bread is almost a wrap-style, makes for a different kind of gyro. You still get pieces of pita with your order, so you can try both kinds of bread. The Shawarma sandwich is very tasty and the gyros are delicious. The kefta is not very spicy, but is very good. The rice is very buttery and yummy. They have excellent pickled turnip and really good pickles. The only disappointment was the Mojadaral, which was rice and lentils with caramelized onions on top. It was just about the most flavorless thing I've ever had in my life. I ate two bites and didn't have anymore, it was like eating cardboard. That was too bad, as everything else was good. It's a busy place, so plan to order ahead if you don't want to wait.

A must Go To Restaurant

The Restaurant is unassuming, not flashy just put together really well both indoor and outdoor. Indoor the long side wall is a collection of different fabric tapestries, really nice. You order when you come in or get a table and look at a (fantastic) menu. Everyone we saw eating was enjoying themselves and happy to say what was good. We went for Hummus, Grape Leaves, an entree of a Gyro with basmati rice and salad also entree with shawarma with lamb and beef simply fantastic. The menu has a variety of vegan offerings. Highly recommend Lavash cafe..

Great selection of omnivorous- and vegetarian-friendly dishes. We had takeout, and though the order wasn't ready until about half an hour after it was supposed to be, it was freshly prepared and very generous. The Lavash bread, a specialty here, was a big hit. The salad was a bit uninspired, with huge pieces of lettuce that required chopping up at home, unpitted olives, and not much in the way of toppings, but the sandwiches were hugely popular.

Great food

We ordered carryout from Lavash Cafe for our family gathering and it was absolutely wonderful. We have a mixture of food preferences including some vegetarians. Everyone found something that fit their tastes and all of it was really good. We will be going back!

The best place in Columbus for years! Great service and top quality food! You must try their tea and desserts as well, pistachio cream cake and especially their chocolate mousse, to die for!

Fresh and flavorful

We ordered takeout for the family, and it was really great. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We tried the hummus, tabouli, kebabs, and salad. The chicken was very good, and the portions were plentiful. If you like garlic sauce, this place is for you. It is GARLIC sauce like I’ve never tasted before. So good! We will definitely order again!

I gave this restaurant a 4 out of 5 mainly because of the parking and tightness in the place. The parking lot is behind the restaurant, but an entrance is not. I was in a wheelchair and had one of my friends take me to the front to enter. Once in, customers are met with a wall making it difficult to maneuver a chair. You grab a menu and wait in line to order as in a cafeteria. My friends found a large dining room off to one side and wheeled me down the ramp to a nice table. However, maneuvering to that ramp was a bit awkward. Looking over the menu I discovered that everything looked good. My friends went through the line and ordered for me. A few minutes wait and our food was brought to us. Food was excellent!! I had the Fatoush salad - so large that part of it came home with me for dinner. We all had Baklava for dessert. So good! I also indulged in an appetizer of stuffed grape leaves. Wonderful! The staff that we interacted with were helpful and pleasant - they wore purple gloves as a safety precaution when serving food.

Delicious shawarma

We ordered a shawarma dish that was tasty and surprisingly large and falafel plates that were very small. Very nice staff. Pitas are replenished as required free of charge.

Gray tasting food and very helpful friendly staff!! Everything was amazing. Chicken shawarma and the lamb and beef shawarma were excellent, hummus, salad, falafel, all really good! We will definitely return and recommend it highly

Best Middle Eastern Food in Area

Six in our family, went here because of it’s reputation. It was excellent in every way. I am fond of middle-eastern food because I am from SE Michigan - this restaurant is the best. First, great variety. Lamb outstanding. Hummus an eggplant flavorful and well-plated. Generous portions at fair price. Great bread with good portions (for sharing). Most importantly it was very FRESH! Staff friendly. Outdoor seating well-shaded and clean/accommodating. My whole family wants to make this place a tradition for us. Bravo to this bistro.

Excellent Middle Eastern Food

We love this restaurant and stop in whenever we're close. Every dish we have tried has been wonderful. The staff is very friendly and Mr. Latif, the owner, is there in person pretty much every day! The food is fresh and delicious and the portions are filling. You will be very happy that you gave yourself this opportunity! Enjoy!
