6* - Yes really! This small two tier restaurant in an old coaching inn, provides a luxury experience beyond expectation. My husband booked this for our anniversary. This is hand on heart our favourite restaurant and we dine out a lot! I’m very behind on...my reviews but I just had to write about this restaurant. The silver service is without the stiff collar attitude. The team here are as exceptional as the food and wine. Dan and Margriet, the proprietors are absolutely lovely and passionate about their creation. They only source the best - the food is creative and the accompanying wine if you go that route, is perfect. I’m sorry I didn’t take photos but I was so into the whole experience, I just didn’t want to interrupt the organic flow of the afternoon. Excellent value for the quality. Tables are for the entire service, so no quick turnarounds. We stayed for close to 3 hrs and the time flew by. We can’t wait to return! Thank you all.More

Faultless, friendly and fun evening. Hospitality at its finest at The Greyhound. We went for my wife's 40th. The little touch of a personal card signed by the team and a glass of bubbly was very well received. And that was just the start. The...food was exceptional and the staff were on point. Thank you so much for a fabulous evening. Looking forward to our return already.More

We tried the Greyhound having read the trip advisor reviews. This place has changed faces and styles several times in the last few years, so we remembered it from a drinks and nibbles years ago, so were keen to see if it lived up to...the hype. It did. The team has done a great job and have turned this into the only real fine dining, taster menu and wine flight place in beaconsfield, not that you have to go full out for all the courses, plenty of choice a la carte and nibbles too and they also have a drinks area, although small and I think the real experience here is in the dining. But since it was our first time we went full on - many great courses with earthy, woody flavours, good use of nuts and game and other treats to make a special meal. The wine paring was excellent with some gems from Slovenia, Hungary and other great but largely unknown wine Producers. The service was excellent - attentive, informed and respectful. All the hallmarks of fine dining experiences we’ve experienced in the past. The team has neatly blended a few things from various Michelin starred restaurants; amuse-bouche, some theatre with dry ice and great distinct presentation. I gather the menu changes quite frequently and look forward to trying new things - it was also great to see the planting and growing of produce in the well kept garden to really help the generation of fresh and local ingredients. The wine storage was also excellent - wine fridge envy! Overall a massive transformation from what the place was historically and a lovely surprise. It’s not trying to be too fancy - some good music in background and still has a character feel to the venue (so not all starchy and linen table cloths, not that those as bed things per se). Having opened just when covid started to kick in they have operated through a tough time and have come through brilliantly. The owners clearly have lots of ideas for continue improvement and made us feel very welcome as new guests and have us every reason to revisit soon, which we will. So, it’s no longer an old pub but a great and unique dining experience in Beaconsfield. Give it a go - hopefully you’ll be as delighted as we were!More

Staff was welcoming, has good eye for detail and really knows how to look after guests. Hospitality at its best. The decor of the pub is beautiful with lovely colours and wallpapers, again with eye for detail. We have enjoyed the tasting menu accompanied by...selected wines and we enjoyed every course. First there were appetizers offered by the Staff, each course had beautiful flavours and such great presentation. The additional explanation of the food and the matching wine were so interesting and so well done. Hats off, we will be hearing more from this team. Hope to return soon.More

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch for two. The staff were polite, attentive and fun. The food was delicious and plentiful. The 3 course lunch is excellent value and the added appetisers and taste cleansers were perfect. The beef was flavoursome and the roast potatoes-...almost as good as mine ! - better actually. We will definitely go again …and again.More

Fantastic Restaurant with outstanding food, attention to detail, superb wine pairing, delicious amuse-bouche, excellent presentation and best-in-class service - Tom was brilliant. This is now my top choice for eating out in the Amersham/Beacinsfield area! We will definitely go back on a regular basis!

This was our first time coming to the restaurant and to say the food was outstanding doesn’t say enough - we were looked after by a lovely waiter called Tom that made our experience so special and went out of his way to make it...incredible. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing the wonderful team again soon!More

We visited for our wedding anniversary, and had a simply wonderful evening. We opted for the tasting menu, with accompanying wines. The front of house staff were super - the right mix of attentive and informative while managing to keep the whole feel relaxed. The...food is stunning - yes it is small plates, but there are lots of them and the quality of the food is exquisite. It is, of course, expensive, but as a treat it is well worth it. At this price point it is not somewhere we will visit frequently, but we will be sure to visit again when we want to treat ourselves :)More
