Our table was booked and we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who seated us. COVID regulations were in force and we felt protected. Water was provided and drinks orders taken. The coffee I had was tasty. There was a sharing steak special which...we ordered along with a side of fries and carrots with carrot purée. We didn’t have too long to wait and the steak was cooked to perfection as well as my requested fried egg. Thanks to Grant and the chef for ensuring my meal was cooked to my requirements. Dessert of rum brownies went down a treat too! The roast and burger meals we saw being delivered to other diners looked very delicious too. There is a dining area upstairs that can be used for a private function. Toilets were exceptionally clean with good quality soap and hand cream available and there were a number of fragrance sticks around the restaurant giving off a lovely aroma. Parking was available on the main road. Waitresses checked on us regularly to ensure all was ok. I would definitely recommend a meal or three at this Michelin star restaurant!More

Ate here in May 2021 with a friend, we both love this restaurant because the service is always top notch. The dishes are also so fresh, and well thought out. I'm vegetarian, and always love their veggie dishes. The cocktails are also well worth the...£, but I always regret driving because they're a little too "drinkable".More

THE best burger and delicious chips 🙂 A big perk of lockdown. Available Friday and Saturday and you must pre order at 10am or you’ll be disappointed. Burgers are approx £13 but it is a proper restaurant meal out type burger in your own home....At the same time you’re supporting a local business. Collection is staggered to be covid safe. Love this idea. Thank you No5More

My family visited yesterday for a Sunday lunch, and were incredibly impressed. The service was excellent, i booked a table for 3pm as that was the only time they could do and they kindly called to say i could arrive earlier if i wanted which...was great. We had the roast beef which was very good and would fully recommend the Sunday Roast. All in all, a great experience, and would not hesitate to recommend.More

I wouldn't like to knock a restaurant at the moment and No. 5 are certainly trying hard - and in general, they're succeeding. Fully booked on a mid-week evening can't be bad. However, for the market they're aiming at, and with the level of their...pricing, I'd expect a little more. No complementary bread or rolls, "amuse bouche", or even basic chocolates with the coffee, let alone quality petits fours" - all of which we've had at similarly priced restaurants in the area. Our main dishes were good, but not exceptional. The dessert list was weird and, if we hadn't been determined to make the most of this rare meal out, we would have given them a miss. It has a nice ambience and atmosphere generally, but I do wish they'd tone down the music a bit!More

A lunchtime visit, first time at No. 5, athough we have eaten at the sister pub, the White Oak. My wife had the Pollock, probably the choice of the dishes. Fish was very well cooked, the leeks were excellent in a vibrant sauce. Meanwhile I...had the burger, excellent taste, best described as quality over quantity, in fact my preference. I paid extra to have the parmisan and Truffle fries, worth it.. For desserts we chose the brioche donuts with warm caramel sauce, sweet and delicious Service goods and value for money good, especially as part of the Eat Out to Help Out incentive.More
