Haven’t been to a Mandarin since before Covid so we decided to go to the Pickering location for out 31st Anniversary since we were staying at Pickering Casino Resort. Service was awesome. Food selection was good and seemed fine until I awoke at 2:35am with...food poisoning. Hubby is sleeping soundly and I am not as I am spending my night in the bathroom. The only item that I had that my husband didn’t was the chicken wings. I write this review at 4.28am, June 20th , my 31st wedding anniversary. We are supposed to head home to Barrie today for celebration plans with our kids but at this point I doubt I can travel so we may have to extend our stay while I rest if I can stay out of the bathroom long enough to rest. 🤦🏻‍♀️, thanks Mandarin Pickering (NOT)More

The food was fresh, the selections was favorable, the service good, everything shrimp was good, the beef, curry and chicken bit with sesame seeds will not get next time, no special flavorings there. Would I recommend to visit, yes!

I spent $149.99 Wednesday for delivery including 15% tip. No Potstickers were included, no soy sauce. Food was excellent as usual but twice now no or insufficient condiments. Before the pandemic, we got Mandarin take out quite often and always looked forward to it. We ordered take out tonight and it was absolutely horrible. The chicken balls were extremely doughy (sickening) with very little chicken in them. You could taste the unpleasant doughy...tase, but could not taste the chicken. We had one each and could not stomach more. The egg roles and spring roles also had very little filing - were not worth finishing. The chicken in the chow mein was very soggy and there was a fish taste to the chicken. We ended up throwing it out and having toast for our Valentine's dinner.More

The food selection is appropriate. The staff friendly. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was inviting. We would go back. Good for large groups as well as intimate

We have visited here several times. The selection of items is extensive, standard Chinese, roast beef, ham, salads sushi, desserts food is always hot and staff make sure the items are replenished quickly. Sushi is very good with lots of choice. Chinese food is fresh...and tasty. Service is very good and staff is friendlyMore

The food is fresh and a great variety. Our 6 year old Grandson loved the plush Pandas Plenty of parking and space in the Mandarin.

Mandarin met & exceeded our expectations. Excellent variety of buffet items to meet a family with a long range of culinary expectations - great American Style Chinese Buffet. Something for everyone taste & preferences.

We have been here many times . Even had a family gathering which was great as they provided an area all for us. I always love the food but have to say it is getting pretty expensive .

Family get together which was brilliant along with the food. So much to choose from and all looking appetising. I had 3 mains all small of course an could fault nothing two deserts and everything was tasty. Excellent food.

I visited here for dinner last night. I recall years ago that Mandarin had MANY chinese food selections. Not anymore. There was only ONE vegetable selection, and two noodle choices. The Won Ton soup was flavourless. On the plus side, they had an impressive sushi...and maki-sushi buffet, which is my favourite. They offer a beef carving station, pizza, and wide salad bar - but this is not part the chinese food buffet variety experience that I was expecting.The service was excellent. To conclude, for the money, my small town of Brighton has a tiny chinese buffet at 1/3 the price with mostly ALL chinese selections. It seems the Mandarin is trying to be "all things to all people".More
