This place came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. The food was sooooo good. Fries were homemade and cooked just perfectly. Homemade cheeseburgers were tasty. Husband really enjoyed the chicken burger. We finished lunch and went out to the ice cream bar. Huge servings with a wide variety of options. We enjoyed them on a picnic table overlooking the ocean. Great service and reasonable prices. Perfect place to stop while heading to lighthouse and Dungeon. I wouldn’t advise you to take your ice cream on the road to the Dungeon though as the roaming horses may try to get a lick ;)

We visited the Little Dairy King while visiting the Bonavista area, and just after they had opened for the season. The place, which has both an eat in restaurant and a take out, was very busy, but we were seated almost immediately. The menu has many options, portions were large, the food was absolutely excellent, and the service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is located a ways out of town near Cape Bonavista, but it is worth the drive!!! The views are amazing and complement the food and service!! It is well worth the visit!!

We stopped for a casual dinner after a long day of driving, inside was full so we sat on the patio. To our great enjoyment we watched humpback whales in the bay while we waited (binoculars helped). Food was solid - fish and chips were among the best I had traveling around NL on holiday, others had good servings of what felt like home cooked food. Certainly worth the stop on the way to exploring the peninsula approaching sunset.

Had ice cream here the previous night so decided to go back for dinner the next day. When we arrived around 4:30pm, therewss literally only one other table of customers in the place. Our order was taken & water brought & then we waited for over an hour with no food!! Two other tables were seated after us & both received food before us! One of them even finished eating & left and we still hadn’t received our orders! Food took 1 hour & 10 minutes after we complained and adked anout it, then finally came! We had to ask for more water. We had to flag a server to say we wanted dessert AND we had to ask 3 times for a to go box! We never again saw the server who initially took our orders so we addumed he’d gone home but no one informed us & no one seemed to have taken our table over. We only had burgets, so not a tough order to fill! Food was ok but service was TERRIBLE! The Caramel Carrot Cheesecake was good but needed more caramel topping. For the price if 9.25 Canadian for one piece, they could afford a bit more topping especially when the name included “caramel”! Overall both couples were very dissatisfied!!

We arrived about 4:30 and were told to sit anywhere. There was only one other table with customers. Our server came and took our orders around 4:45. 5 other tables filled up with customers. By 5:30 I went up and asked when will our food be coming out, as 4 of those 5 tables that came in after us were served and already eating their food. I was told it's because of the hamburgers we ordered. They take longer to prepare. By the time our food came, those others had finished and were getting up to leave. Incidently, after taking our order, we never saw our server again. It may have been shift change, but we were, obviously, never passed off to another server. We had to constantly flag down someone for water refills and dessert orders. The food was tasty, but not enough to make up for the service.
Come here for the ice cream. Eat dinner somewhere else.

Unbelievable location, beautiful views, friendly service, very clean. Food is delicious, generously portioned, and economically priced.
We watched whales frolic on the way in and left to the setting sun with full bellies.

Great food and very large portions, big enough to share. We had cod bites and fish and chips and it was the best we have had so far this trip and we’re having it almost everyday. We’re from Ontario so fresh fish just isn’t that practical so we are enjoying our fresh cod.

We went for lunch on a cold day and had fish sandwiches with fries. The French fries were excellent and the fish sandwiches were very good as well. I’d love to try some of the ice cream treats, but it was just too cold. There is a good size indoor dining room or you can opt to eat outside on a nice day.

Tasty Food +Friendly Service + Excellent Value + Amazing View
Parking lot was almost full, food were tasty and came in fairly big portion. Waitress was very friendly, as we have become accustomed to in Newfoundland. The view is simply amazing if you can get a window seat. Great spot for sunset.
I had two hard scoops ice cream and glad that I did.

We ordered pretty basic fish and chips. Waited 45 minutes and it was not busy. Fish was pretty greasy and not great. The gravy was the worse. I was disappointed as I had heard good things. The line up for ice cream makes me think this is their high point

Visited on the way back from the lighthouse. Ordered at the window (orange milkshake and pineapple ice cream soda) and they made it right there while we waited.
Noticed orders with food were taking a bit longer, but we were served quickly.
Nice scenery behind the building.

Visited this weekend during a family weekend trip around the Loop. Had drinks and food. Good service and wait times considering its very busy! Fish bite and cod in general was delicious! Kids enjoyed milk shakes. Lovely patio with views just a short drive to the scenic lighthouse. 10/10 recommended

We stopped just for a light lunch. Had the pea soup along with beef vegetable soup and both were very good. A chicken wrap was a unexpected surprise that was excellent. Don’t let the location and small building turn u away. Very well done

Went here for dinner, which was really good with large portions, and the service was excellent. They have a varied menu so something for everyone. But get ice cream, no matter what. The flurry is excellent, or even just a cone. It's worth lining up for, even if it's raining.

Casual dining. The food was very good and the menu offered various things to choose from. They also have ice-cream but were out of some as they are closing for the season at the end of September.
