Wow! Sooooo good.

I don't leave many reviews but our experience at Mamacitas was amazing! The service was fantastic; our server (Gisselle) took the time to explain the various menu items to us. I normally don't eat the rice and beans, but I just about licked my plate clean! The salad is amazing and the guacamole swoon-worthy. And somehow, we even made room for their delicious rice pudding. It's almost worth the drive from Edmonton to come for this!

Amazing lunch

Ordered the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce…my taste buds exploded with flavour. Huge chunks of chicken rolled a thin homemade corn shell and covered in the best sauce. I ordered the whole meal but it was too much for me. The rice, beans and salad were very tasty but it just too much food for lunch. We were already planning our next meal because there were so many choices. The service was excellent. We can’t wait to return and may make a special trip to Cold Lake just for the meal.

Excellent meal, friendly and timely service

This local little restaurant is off the beaten path, but definitely worth visiting. Comfortable ambiance, friendly service, and a phenomenal meal. We had the Chimichanga meal, the fish tacos meal, and the Enchiladas…all were just incredible! The highlight of the fish tacos meal was their house salad: their homemade guacamole vinaigrette dressing is to die-for…they even sell their salad dressing in bottles on site. This dinner was the highlight of our visit to Cold Lake - a must!

Dropped in today from out of town. We were excited to try the food because of the reviews. We had the burrito and enchiladas. Really disappointed in the serving size and flavour of the food. Very bland, no spice and just overall average. We won’t be eating here again, not because it was horrible but because it was expensive for getting mediocre food.

Wedding Catering, top notch!

Was recently at a wedding at Side Launch Brewery and Mamacita did the catering. They had brisket Tacos, Korean pork belly tacos, Fish Tacos, a Nacho bar, it was stellar. Everything was super delicious and the staff were so nice. There was about 70 people at the wedding and no one was left feeling hungry. If you are in the area, there is a food truck right outside of the brewery. Go there and try everything!!

Simply amazing !!!

Who would have thought Cold Lake has the best Mexican Food Around. After a long walk at the Marina, we attempted to find a place for a late lunch… the Waffle Place was a bust so we continued on and found this hidden gem a block away. The food was insane, the colada’s were great, and the lady actually shared with us the secret on how they made it so good. Portion sizes were huge, and above all it was an amazing bang for your buck. Not a surprise within 10 minutes of us showing up, the restaurant was full of people, eating, laughing, and savouring everything this place has to offer. Take the time to find this place and you will not be disappointed !!!! I highly recommend it !!!!!!!!

Like a mini vacation

Like walking into Mexico. Food was amazing and exactly like I wanted it. Cervezas were cold and quacamole was fresh. Would recommend to try again and again.

Such a nice place even though it doesn’t seem like it from the outside. Inside transports you to a festive atmosphere where you can enjoy the delicious food. Will go again for sure.

Salsa is freshly made, very good

They make their own salsa and chips. The food was fresh and flavorful. The decor has bright colours, feels like you are in the Southern States or Mexico!
