I took my family there for the first time to enjoy and to experience the Indian culture. We placed our first order and then placed another order. The waitress had approached us with an attitude and said that “you have to order everything all at...once, you can’t add to your order due to how busy we are” in my opinion the waitresses must be well trained to deliver extraordinary customer service experience.More

Worst Indian food ever I tested. I don't want to regret to go again! I recommend to drive 70 miles to go to passage to India to get authentic Indian food!

We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. We ordered the Tikka Marsala with lamb and the Shahi Korma with chicken along Paneer Nan. The portions were large and as the title says it is some of the best tasting Indian food we have had...in many years The lamb was so tender. The winner though was the Shahi Korma with chicken. Entrees run about $12. Can’t wait to go back and try something else.More

Veg samosa was too salty. Hot chai too sweet. Chicken tikka masala was good. Butter naan also good. Brought everything out at once which was strange. Best Indian food in North Dakota is A Passage to India in Fargo.

My daughter and her boy friend brought me here, I have never been here before. I was not sure what to ger, I asked some questions and decided on Shahi Korma. I got it spicy. We also had som garlic naan bread, which was fantastic....No complaints at all, the staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was nice and the food was fantastic. I just have to talk my wife into going.More

I speak as a delivery service driver who has occasionally taken an order or two from this restaurant. If you order online, the driver sees no part of the tip you may have included in what you paid. The restaurant is keeping all of that...tip and not passing any of it on to the delivery driver. Please consider this when ordering.More

I have eaten here five times so far and the food and service have been outstanding every time. I have tried various entrees and appetizers and they are all delicious and very flavorful! The menu has great descriptions so you can decide whether you want...a creamy sauce, something a little spicy, vegetarian, etc. I usually get something with lamb because it feels like a treat, we don't usually eat it at home. Lots of Naan options too, to satisfy the picky eater who just wants bread. Everyone is so nice and friendly and the food comes out fast. Cute atmosphere, very clean and simple decor. A great place for a family, a date night, or carry out.More

We drove by a closed strip mall restaurant one night and noticed they were installing a new sign - House of Punjab - YES! Finally an Indian Restaurant in GF! We pulled in and congratulated the owners - said we'd be in and we have....3 times since they've opened and the food is FANTASTIC! It's crowded so be prepared to wait but it's worth it. The last time we ordered takeout from their website and it was perfect. Ready when they said it would be and still hot when we got home. Best experience is in the restaurant though - they try hard to stay on top and are obviously grateful to their customers so it's easy to forgive wait times or small mistakes. Food is amazing! Order above your normal level to get the good burn - my wife is happy with "extra spicy" - I'm good with "spicy". Enjoy!More

We ate here a few months back and couldn't wait to return! We had two kinds of curry and some of the fried rice, all of which was delicious. Generous portions, with enough for leftovers. They were very busy that evening so it took a...while for our order to be taken, but our food came very quickly after that. We have already recommended House of Punjab to many friends! (I left a similar review elsewhere to make sure more people see it.)More

What a great addition to the chain restaurant scene in Grand Forks. My husband is Indian, so we were concerned that the food would be unidentifiable as Indian (as has happened in other cities), but it was quite good. It's mild (we ordered medium spicy...and would have probably preferred spicy), but the flavors are distinctly Indian. We had dal Makhani--tasty--and we had Chicken Tikka Masala just because it was the most popular dish. Both dishes were rich with cream. The naans were crispy on the edges and more dense in the middles. Rice was not traditional basmati but was served in plentiful servings. Unfortunately, they were out on Indian beer. The explained they were having trouble getting it. Hopefully, they'll be able to stock up soon.More

After much waiting, Grand Forks finally has an Indian restaurant. We're wondering why the town with a fairly sizable Indian population (considering it's the upper northern plains) did not have one to begin with. Yes, North Dakotans in general have an aversion to spices -...there are people that don't even use black pepper. I pity these folks who wonder through life in the northern plains deprived of life's pleasures that are so desperately needed to survive winters here. But, I digress. Despite North Dakotans aversion to spices, House of Punjab ventured ahead and opened their temple of spice deliciousness --- notice that I did not write "spicy." There's a difference and the almost perfect use of spices in Indian food does not make it spicy, just very, very, very tasty. After our second visit we've decided we'll be regular customers to eat our way through the menu and praying that House of Punjab will thrive and hopefully convert future generations of North Dakotans and Grand Forkians to the brighter and spicier side of life!More

House of Punjab serves excellent food! My husband and I had lunch there today and it was so good. We ordered garlic Naan, best I've had and I spent a semester of college in India! We both had Chile Balti, chicken and shrimp. Came in...your preferred level of heat that was just right for us. Hot! Service was great and we will be back. Very complete menu...Top Grand Forks restaurant.More
