After waiting to eat here for a long time, we finally were able to go on a day that it was open. Saturday lunch crowd was not overwhelming-it is fairly big inside. The food was home made (batters, sides, desserts) and very good. Looking forward...to bringing family members. Prices were reasonable and portions were just right.More

This place is amazing! We had the oysters which were awesome. The seafood casserole was something I’ve never had but it was definitely something we would get again. Needs to be rated number 1.

Have eaten several different dishes there. The last time I had the Hawaiian Shrimp. The flavor was great with cocnut coating and an interesting dipping sauce. Also had the sea food cowder - - very outstanding. The fod is always hot.

Waynesville location. I had the lunch menu (we ate at 1:30). I ordered the High country shrimp and lobster withe grits. Horrible! Sauce was like soup, served with a spoon 🥄. Black peppered grits, some shrimp. No lobster 🦞!! Charged me the dinner price. $26.something....this was our first time there our friends were so excited about taking us there for good seafood so I just let it go I didn't want to embarrass them. Never again. Worst meal choice I ever ate.More

This is a long standing local restaurant with a great reputation. The service was exceptional. They had great trout as well as well as steaks and a wide variety of seafood. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the very friendly people we met.

We were in the Waynesville area for three days relaxing and visiting our son who is in school nearby. We were looking for a dinner spot where we could get some seafood and came across Maggie's. The reviews were spot on. It is not the...most aesthetic looking place, but we had a wonderful experience. We had the Seafood chowder as appetizer and then had blackened trout, blackened catfish and a seafood combo. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The pricing was also very good compared to other restaurants we had been to. Also, it was my wife's birthday weekend. We were not looking for anything but in conversation with the waitress it come up. After our meal she offered us a free desert, but we were just too full and declined. When we received our check, the waitress had taken my wife's glass of wine off since we didn't want desert. All this was great, but the best part of the experience was our waitress, Grace. She was terrific. She helped guide our selections, was attentive, funny and just a real pleasure to deal with. Even if the meal had been mediocre, she would have made this a nice outing.More

Service was great with Paige being our server. Salad was very good. Raw oysters were ok. The rib eye and the 6 oz bacon wrapped filet were above average. I did not care for the chowder but the gumbo was very good. We will go...again but make better choices. This is obviously a favorite of locals with almost every table full at 7:00.More
