When on 2 occasions and both times food and service were 5 star worthy. Menu is great with very good variety. It’s fresh smart and lots of attention to details. Don’t miss this restaurant..it’s outstanding.

We went for lunch to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The whole experience was superb, the food and wine, the setting and the friendly and professional staff all made for a memorable day.

Booked a table for dinner and order the 4 courses. Service was excellent, beautiful setting, but wait between each courses was excruciating . We arrived at 6.10pm and got our third course at 8.40pm, at this point we gave up and decided not to wait...for our 4th course. The food was very nice, except the mushroom pasta, dry, flavorless, missing sauce. Not eatable. I noticed that the next door table also didn’t eat their pasta dishes. I was sad because I love food and was so excited to try this place after reading the reviews.More

Had dinner for two here. Strange cavern like ambiance. Got the impression that the business model is primarily to serve largish groups more than intimate couples. Looked like plenty of locals. The menu had classic 'modern australian' items with a hint of Asia. We shared...5 or 6 things - some of which were very similar though didn't appear so on the menu. Food was ok but not great; more trying hard cafe quality than hidden gem restaurant underdog. Service was pleasant but average. All in all - ok - but nothing special.More

Favourite of winemakers and holidaymakers alike, the food at Vitners was delicious and interesting. Great wine list too. It was a set menu. Would definitely return.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Vitners. The atmosphere was spectacular - beautiful interior and cosy fire. Service was phenomenal and food sung on our pallets. Would highly recommend.

We had the venus bay prawns and hervey bay scallops as starters when we were there in April, and both were delicious. The market fish and duck breast were ok for mains. Go for their signature passionfruit souffle for dessert.

We arrived to a buzzing restaurant, the first couple of courses came out in due course. Fab food, we were loving the experience, then it went downhill, there was was a very large private group 20+ they were dealing with plus all the other tables...and we were forgotten. We waited and waited and nothing materialised to the point we wanted to walk out, staff mobilised and we stayed. Food was great, but they lost us re the dining experience. Price point is such I would not bother going back. And would definitely recommend saving your dollars.More

Very disappointed with our experience! The restaurant obviously over booked (large group booking of 20+) and the kitchen was unable to deliver the courses in a timely manner. Waited over 45mins between entree and main. Not what you would expect at this price point! Waitress...10 out of 10. Overall experience underwhelming!More

We are Barossa locals & I don’t think there is a place in the Barossa that rivals Vintners for both quality of food & service. Visit after visit, year after year this place doesn’t disappoint. The menu changes regularly to suit the seasons but also...maintains crowd favourites. The service is always superb with no fuss but attentive & in a regional area this is a feat in itself so kudos to Rami & her team. I’ve never written a review but after two recent visits I really think people deserve to know how good this place is!More

We were seated at a lovely table in front of the fire. Menu looked interesting with a number of dishes instantly taking our attention. The menu was split into five major sections being Little Bits, Raw, Smaller, Bigger and After (desserts). There were six dishes...in the Little Bits category, each with a price per dish or per piece. Other than this the menu offered 2 courses from the other 4 categories for $68 per person, 3 courses for $86 per person or 4 courses for $98 per person. Sides of fries and XO beans were an extra cost of $9 each. We started with two smoked corn, aged Comte and herb croquettes from the Little Bits category which were delicious. We followed this with shared plates of the Atlantic salmon, ponzu, black rice and furikake which was a delicious combination and the kingfish with finger lime, oil, soused onions and capers. From the Smaller category we chose the Hervey Bay scallops (3 scallops in their shells) with charred cauliflower, white miso and crumbs. The latter adding some good texture and crunch. Also had the whipped ricotta with beets, hazelnut, kumquat and sorrel. This was a nice combination of flavours although the beets threatened to overtake the dish. Bigger dishes were the Barramundi with romesco, roasted tomato and fried parsley and the char grilled scotch fillet with shogun dressing and chives. These dishes were accompanied by an included green salad. We enjoyed both of these dishes. We also ordered sides of beans and fries. We were too full to even contemplate any dessert although on another occasion these would have appealed. Wine list was very extensive with a wide selection of Australian and Overseas wines. We ordered a bottle of John Duval 2018 Annexus Grenache. We were bought a 2019 as the 2018 was apparently out of stock but pricing was unchanged. Staffing was mixed. It ranged from the very experienced lady who was very friendly to the young lady who advised my wife that she shouldn’t eat any of the fries as they had been “coated in gluten before they were cooked”. Think she may have been referring to cross contamination as they had been cooked in the same oil as some other dishes. Ambience, particularly with a lovely wood fire blazing away, from our perspective, would have been enhanced with a better background soundtrack. Recommended.More

Having a very late lunch and no dinner planned we chose the 5 courses. The bread with black salt and caramelised onion butter was amazing. The beef was delicious, so was the duck and lets not forget the passionfruit souffle mentioned by others. Each dish...was well spaced so you were relaxed and not rushed. I loved the small details...the hot plates brought out for the main courses ( we shared all the plates). For me the dish of the day was the beef tartare...delightfully spicy with peanut...delicious. More expensive than The Eatery but a different experience. I recommend doing both of these restaurants as part of a Barossa Adventure.More

From the time we pulled up this place looked refined. Beautiful setting and nice fires indoors. Service was excellent and the food from the entrees of prawns and scallops, through to the main of barramundi, and then piece de resistance, the passionfruit soufflé! Absolutely delicious!...One of the best restaurant experiences I have had!More

Arrived early for a lunch booking at 1.06 pm. Shown to a table and asked for our water choice. 42 minutes later, having had no one even asking if we wanted a drink, lunch or anything else, my wife and I thanked the waitresses who...were chatting behind the bar and said" Thank you, we are leaving now" An stunningly wonderful example of South Australian hospitality at its worst!More
