Dubbed as the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, we drove to Roxas City from Iloilo for two hours and we were recommended to this seafood restaurant by some friends. Indeed, seafoods are fresh. Prices are just right for the size of their servings. Good for sharing too. So we ordered a variety of dishes and shared them so that we can get to taste everything.
Taste is superb. Service is great, too.
There are other seafood restaurants nearby but this one has a classy ambience.

I was not expecting much but the food served were great and fresh. Specially the seafood.
Eating while you have the breeze and the view of the sea adds to the experience

I am here in Roxas for business and, being a MASSIVE seafood lover, I couldn't wait to sample the local seafood. The going story here is that seafood is not only fresh, but also cheap, so I was expecting quantity AND quality.
Boy, this place is disappointing. Apart from the poor ambience, typical of no-frills eateries, more than half of what I ordered from the menu wasn't available. I eventually settled on some king prawns in chili/coconut sauce and 4 of their famous "angel wings" (giant clams).
I was the only customer there, so can't complain about the service itself. What I was really disappointed about was when I got the menu. The angel wings are cheap and abundant and were quoted at P65/100g. At less than 400g, they shouldn't have costed me more than P350. On the menu, they worked out as more than double the price!
Had no luck arguing with the waiter and then the manager, they both kept saying that P65 was a "different kind of charge". I don't have a penchant with long discussions post-meal, so just paid and left. It remains that this is the second seafood establishment on Baybay beach, out of two, which inflated the price because of my white face. Totally unfair.

Despite being in Roxas City, known as the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, our visit left us thoroughly disappointed. We ordered talaba, expecting fresh, delicious seafood, but what we received was far from it. The talaba served to us was clearly not fresh, leaving a sour taste in our mouths, both literally and figuratively. It's disheartening to see a restaurant in such a renowned seafood destination fail to deliver on the promise of quality and taste. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, they were not met.

Red tide, no shells or seafood except fish. We ordered some food from the menu… it’s not good and not worth the price. Disappointed

Went here after looking up restaurant ratings...wow were we wrong.
Beer took 10 mins to arrive and warm.
Told couldn't have seafood platter for on as entree,no oysters but could have larger platter which had oysters.
Meals took 40 mins to arrive.
Seafood chowder was just soup,no chunks of fish,or any other seafood.
Prawns arrived shelled.
Asked staff if they could shell and de-vein prawns, took another 10mins and vein still left in.
No idea of service ,but charging premium price.
AVOID AT ALL COST.
FAR BETTER AND CHEAPER NEXT DOOR

The oysters were not plump/juicy and there were no crabs. Apparently the oysters and crabs in Roxas city were being sold/brought over to Iloilo or Boracay
Good thing the grilled blue marlin, stuffed squid and pancit were good
Nice place by the beach, enjoyed the cool breeze and sea air in spite of the summer sun

All seafood dishes in this restaurant are delicious. Just to have a sampler, oder the seafood platter. This restaurant is by the sea, so the breeze makes you feel sleepy after eating a sumptuous meal.

Ate at Coco Veranda twice during our 4-day visit to Roxas City. Loved the ambiance & enjoyed their seafood! But worth a special mention is their Chili Garlic Rock Lobsters. Superb! Also a must-try...their Buco Halo Halo!

Came here twice last week to have lunch with friends. Really enjoyed the cheesy dynamites. It was perfect! The white marlin tasted really good. When they didn't have that the second time around, the blue marlin was alright. Really liked their shakes, can be bit sweet. I love that they use metal straws! Props for that.
On our second visit, we ordered pork sisig... it was a handful, than a full plate. Same for the beef salpicao, which tastes good but wasn't enough. The salmon sashimi was always served frozen. We ordered it twice. Shame!
Overall, it was ayt.

Couldn't ask for a better lunch that day. We feasted on calamares, kilawin, grilled fish, green mango salad, and the coconut halo-halo was a treat! Thank you. Please improve service some more, the rest is great!

This restaurant is highly rated and the picture we had formed was a far cry from reality. Cold storage of food such as seafood, which spoils so quickly is entirely lacking and the area where the food is displayed is unhygienic. There is no iced seafood, not even the oysters. Service is slow and indifferent, as other reviewers have pointed out. The place is grubby, I photographed the plastic chairs with their ingrained grime, wondering how any restauranteer expects paying customers to sit on them. Street urchins pop under the sail and beg for money while you are trying to eat. Ultimately, the meal was overpriced and not great. The seafood at Hotel Antonio resort across the road is beautifully presented, tastier and thus ultimately, better value for money. As are all of the restaurants on the beach, this restaurant contributes single use plastic in a major way, which leaves the beach in an appaling state. In every way, Coco Veranda should clean up its act.

Hi being in Roxas one would expect affordable prices and very delicious seafood-- we did not quite get that during our visit. The dishes were just ok, ordinary tasting and the prices from my perspective were very high.
