We ate here twice for breakfast. Our waitress was very friendly. They have the best bacon! And the rest of the food was good as well. Expect to wait for your food though because they are definitely under staffed. The food was worth the wait...though!More

We wanted to dine in for breakfast, but there was quite a wait. We were told we could order at the bar and they would bring it outside to the picnic tables. They had $6 special for meat egg and cheese on croissant so ordered...4 for our party. Bartender did bring them all out to the table along with napkins, condiments and water for us. They were good just wish we would have come back for lunch or dinner, maybe next trip! Great find!More

Food was good and service was better. We stopped by for a quick bite to eat before leaving the coast. There was a short wait, but the hostess was very diligent about finding seating for customers as the wait staff cleaned tables betwen guests. The...hostess explained before we waited that by the time a table would be available, meal being served would be lunch rather than breakfast. It was very thoughtful of her to clarify that detail. We shared a crab cake that was very tasty with just the right amont of sauce. The burgers were huge, using a half pound of ground beef. I had a salad topped with strawberries, dried cranberries, and nuts, then added chicken to it. I'd definitely return because prices were compatible with feeding families.More

A nice place to eat with friendly staff, fresh and tasty food, sweet iced tea to go in addition to the glass that I consumed. My garden salad with fresh catch mahi mahi was delicious. My husband’s chicken sandwich and fries were also quite satisfying.

Stopped for a quick bite while out shopping. Sat 8 of us easily at 1:30. The food was really good. People ordered a mix of burgers, catch of the day fish sandwich, chicken sandwiches and salads. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I recommend the chicken bacon...sandwich with seasoned fries…the breading was thin and perfect. A must there is the pickle chips! All the dressings were homemade. The server knew a lot about the history of the place. She was friendly and service was good. We will for sure make this a regular stop when we are in the OBX.More

Our family stopped here for breakfast and had a really good meal. We had pancakes and chicken and gravey biscuits. Very Good. I'm glad we did not stand in line at other places. We got right in and enjoyed it. We will go back.

Husband and I have differing reviews ... He thought his pancake breakfast was the best in Nags Head. I thought my Western omelet would have been better with a little more ham and cheese. The ham was diced really small and there just wasn’t much...of it in the omelet. I only eat egg that has cheese attached and so I only ate 2/3rds of the omelet. Other than that, the eggs were fluffy and cooked fine. We both agreed that the coffee was superb and so was the service.More

We just happened upon this lovely cafe after flying Kites at Jockey’s Ridge and we will most certainly return again and again. Allen, our wonderful host greeted us promptly and we were seated at the window in view of the many sea birds that appreciated...the gentle winds. Sunlight filtered in and a feeling that we arrived at the perfect spot settled in. The stone ground grits with the most perfect texture and freshly brewed coffee started the meal and then we switched over to the best burgers on the island. Handmade and juicy, it reminded us of the wonderful burgers of the past before it became commercialized. We never saw the bottom of our glasses and cups as our host Allen and Robert attended to us with great care. The onions rings were crispy and never greasy. The homemade potato salad was reminiscent of Sunday socials. The bacon on the burger was oven baked and crispy with little to no fat. The decor is inviting and the service exceeded our expectations. Our upmost gratitude to this establishment for wonderful food and great service. We will be back!More

Annie was our server, and she was great. As far as the food, the service was fast, and portions are large. IF you love carbs, this is the place!! My eggs came with potatoes, bread and large pancakes. My wife had French toast and she...loved it.More
