Our first time at Pizzeria Torro --Tuesday night, nice crowd decided to sit at bar. Cool, clean --- careful (all the precautions including seeing our vax cards) dining. The staff made excellent wine & dinner suggestions...we had the special white pizza (sausage and asiago) and...a starter of fresh wax peppers with anchovy (amazing.) Really a wonderful setting in both main dining room where there are plenty of long tables and view of wood fire oven. Can't say enough good things about this well-run establishment. Friendly & delicious & reasonably priced what could be better?More

Wanted a quality and quiet meal with visiting friends. Like others mentioned, received rude rules on maximum seating of 6, mandatory minimum tipping lecture, overcooked burnt pizza and remained under close and uncomfortable observation during visit. I will say they offered unique pizzas with quality...ingredients.More

We ordered several pizzas for take out and as always (our second time here) the pizza was incredible!! The margharita pizza was phenom! Their Cesar salad was also very good, just right amount of tangyness! Truly an exceptional wood fired pizza. The dough is perfect...and the toppings exceptional. I was sad that their morel appetizer had just been 86ed! Highly recommend this pizzaria!More

Our family party of four ordered three pizza; Buffalo Mozzarella, Timberlake new potato, And Sweet Fennel Sausage. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She told us that the menu may have some items in the description that needed explaining. She was able to articulate meaningful descriptions...of the cheeses and items on each pizza. Each one was amazing! I had never had potatoes on a pizza before and probably would not have tried it without her guidance. The pizza was so good we decided to have dessert. I had the zeppole - much like a beignet. So good. This restaurant was convenient to the Marriott.More

Really enjoyed our salad and Pizza. Portions are on the lighter side, but, the Pizza itself is well prepared and the ingredients are fresh. Seating area style was communal and a little tight, but our neighbors on both sides were fun, so we had a...good time. Menu was an impressive mix of greens and culinary options from different regions of Italy. Espresso and Almond cookie for dessert was good, but, the Polenta cake with Caramel and creme fresh was divine!More

Excellent wood-fired pizza. Blue cheese, walnut and apple appetizer was a personal favorite. Will definitely eat here again when in the Raleigh-Durham area. Reminded me of pizzerias in Rome!

If you don’t mind rude management rules this is the place for you. When two extra people came we were like outlaws breaking the rules. But the food was very good and our server was good. And we were accommodated grudgingly.

We went here due to the Vegan Friendly claims after a Duke Game. Lots of great vegetarian options, but not Vegan unless you like a piece of grass. The host was great, but our server wouldn't let us really customize a pizza to make it...more vegan friendly. He said we could order a salad if we needed something Vegan. He had a very snooty attitude (maybe this was because were were younger and had Duke attire?) This was frustrating because the host literally just told us to order a custom pizza and they could make it happen. The final nail in the coffin was it took him FOREVER to give us the bill. We gave another couple cash and left after waiting an excessive amount of time. Drinks were good and the non vegan pizza was great. Just wish our server was better and more friendly like the host! Pretty cool little place, but too many great other places and options for this service.More
