Was told 60 minute wait for delivery ( for lunch two calzones) Food arrived in 90 minutes and was COLD! Seriously?
Had requested extra sauce with calzone. However NO sauce at all arrived. Worst delivery and service ever.
We were so sorry to learn about the closing of Ernesto’s, but were pleasantly surprised to see Ernesto and some of his friendly waitstaff at Pizza Cucina. We tried their chicken parmigiana and sautéed shrimp entree’s and can say that they have not skipped a...beat at the new location. Of course, it has a more casual feel, with some diners just ordering pizzas with their families. I would prefer to see Ernesto back in a full service restaurant, but this a great consolation! We look forward to returning and trying some of their great specials.More
My husband and I had a gift certificate for Ernesto’s that we hadn’t had the opportunity to use. When we called to make a reservation and learned it had closed, we were very disappointed. The message mentioned Pizza Cucina as being owned by the same...person. When we called to see if we could use the gift certificate, the owner was wonderful and told us we could . So, we went for a late lunch. Service was efficient and timely. The food was outstanding. My husband started with a Caesar salad, which was dressed perfectly. I had the arugula salad which was fresh and delicious. Next, we shared an order of gnocchi Sorrentino which was prepared in a tasty, light ricotta sauce. My husband had veal parmigiana and I had eggplant parmigiana as our entrees. Both were delicious and portions were large. We finished with cappuccinos and shared a tartufo. Everything was so good. We are definitely going to return. Prices were reasonable.More
Ernesto of Ernesto's Restaurant opened this simpler version of his full-service restaurant. It features the best of his traditional Italian food -- the Penne Ernesto is spectacular (cream sauce with various ingredients) and I haven't seen its equivalent anywhere else. His pizza is simply great....I recently made a humble take-out order of sausages, and when I got home I was (but shouldn't have been) surprised at their grilled quality -- simply the best sausage I've ever had in my 70 years of world travel. Ernesto is there most of the time to greet you. There are simple tables with cloth tablecloths if you prefer to eat in. Beer and wine are available. A very friendly, great Italian food place.More
