Fantastic experience

Went for lunch to celebrate 82 year old mother’s birthday.. It was fantastic. We all went for the favourites menu. The food was flavoursome and well cooked. It came out at perfect intervals by cheerful and happy waitstaff, who made a birthday lunch an experience. Well done Rustico! Will be returning.

6 course degustation washed down with Sangria

Rustico's has been my favourite restaurant for a while now and again it didn't disapoint. The degustation menu is changed often enough to keep it fresh without losing the old favourites. Service is always exceptional no matter how busy and the food quality never suffers. You can tell each dish is prepared and served with pride. I can't reccomend this place high enough!

We spent a very pleasant afternoon at Rusticos on Saturday 11th July for a birthday celebration. The food was fabulous, the service terrific (thankyou James!) The Sangria yummy. When paying the bill we incurred a surcharge of $5 for "tap water" which left a sour taste in our mouths..The price of wine corkage is excessive enough without being gouged $5 for a glass or two of water.Having been in the hospitality industry for a long long time my husband and I were shocked and disappointed to see this practise at what was one of our favorite restaurants.It smacks of greed not in keeping at all with the hospitality way ..Hopefully the owner will see reason and stop this un professional practise.

Rockin' it in Rockingham

An evening with friends who came up from down south, we went down south from up north and met in the middle. Rockingham would not have been my first location of choice. I will admit I expected the usual suspects served doused in smoked paprika and a sprinkling of olive oil and called Spanish. Well.... suffice to say I stand corrected. 3 of our table chose the degustation menu, I don't like seafood so had a la carte. My dining partners raved over every course especially the scallops. The highlight from my selection was the mushrooms in a cream sauce with just a hint of sherry making them sweet and savoury at the same time. Simply tantalizng. A reasonably priced wine list and in keeping with the current trend a Gin menu is offered. This venue has to be a stand out in Rockingham because it would certainly stand out anywhere in this finicky town. Thank you chef and your staff we really enjoyed your venue.

My most recent visit to Rustico was Saturday night. The food and wine was very yummy. I have been here several times and have had a great experience each time. Delish food: tick. Cocktails: tick. Wine: tick. Our wait person was friendly and helpful. When she could not assist with the wine query she got someone who could help. The Spanish tempranillo was fabulous and worked with our food selection (parfait, beef cheeks and duck). The menu is extensive, provides variety, servings are plentiful and I think the place presents good value.

Usual high standards met once again

This has easily got to be my favourite restaurant and yesterday evening did not disappoint. Excellent service and exquisite food as usual. Tried the feed me favourite menu as a change from our normal degustation and was very happy with what we chose! My only minor gripe would be that as a party of 6, the food served in bowls is served as 2 servings, shared between 3 people and appears to be the same size servings you normally would get between 2 people, but saying that, we all still come away full and satisfied. Would be better as 3 bowls served between 2 people in my opinion but it’s an observation not a complaint (plus we did get an extra serving of chorizo when I mentioned that I thought the servings were normally the same between 2 😜)

Nice Location, great staff but Tapas a bit so-so

Located adjacent to the beachfront park it's a great location and the staff were very friendly, but I felt the Tapas were OK without being fantastic. Absolutely love Tapas and these are my go-to food when out, but I felt many of the offerings could be easily bypassed, and some of the dishes we had barely passed muster. However, would still go back there as it is I believe one of Rockingham's best lunchtime spots. And the live music was great.

Fabulous food with service to match!

The food here is always fabulous. We love the fact that the dishes come out when they are ready and you aren’t overwhelmed with too much food all at once. The stand out thing here apart from the food is the service. It’s not always easy to find this level of customer service. The staff are attentive, professional and fully on point. We would like to give a special mention to Annie who has a memory for detail for orders and dietary requirements like we’ve never seen anywhere else. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant too. We’d definitely recommend.

Fabulous AGAIN

Our fourth visit to Rustico over a period of some time. Really fresh,well prepared delicious bowls of deliciousness. Very impressed with the staff. Aussi friendliness and European service, a very streamlined team. I was impressed with the attentiveness, I dropped a tiny bit of beetroot on my shirt, a few seconds later a waitress had brought a little glass of soda water and tissues. The mushrooms in sherry sauce is a signature dish but do try the garlic prawns and the green veggies. We won't leave it so long next time

Snuck in around 8:30pm and were greeted by friendly, well trained staff. We ordered 4 dishes that came with pretty heavy price tags for tapas style food. The food was hit and miss; we loved the fish and tacos but found the beef cheek ordinary (the beef was lost in the thick sauce). Maybe our experience would’ve been better if we weren’t pressed for time but we didn’t consider this outing to be money well spent.

Had a great meal at Rusticos. 4 adults shared dishes from beef carpaccio, Spanish potatoes, chili chicken, beef cheeks, etc. all beautiful. Servings were all good sizes. Big enough for 4 adults to dig in. Finished off with the desert tasting board. Very nice. Service was fast and staff very polite and helpful. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Me and my partner attended the vegan neighbourhood event. We usually don’t go out to restaurants as we find that they don’t usually make vegan meals they just subtract a vegetarian meal and it’s just not as good as made from home. Oh boy were we impressed with rusticos, amazing five course meal. Would recommend, the food and the service was amazing!!

Walked up without a booking and the place was full. The staff kindly found a table for two. The menu was explained, we could do al a cart, or degustation, water was delivered and then we had the difficulty of choosing the small plates to share. I wanted everything I saw. We settled on 4 plates and they were a very generous serving. They were absolutely divine. I will definitely return to try the others, maybe more than once. The staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly.

Emma our wait person was so attentive without been annoying and the food was wonderful as usual. Hubby had the ginger twist mock tail which was great too. We had all vegetarian options which were delicious. We will be back again. They also do take away meals too. The sherry mushrooms were the best.

Amazing food and great service with friendly staff. is expensive but worth it.we had the six courses with wine, the wine was selected to match the food. i don't like sweet wine so changed the desert wine to one i like which was a bonus.
