Camille and her Family ( Barry and Barry Jr) Has an announcement to make : The time has come, Truffles has been in business for 34 years the longest same ownership restaurant in Wading River and much of Riverhead Township. Camille is retiring and while she will miss many of her friends and customers she has be apart of since her days of the Mushroom Cap in 1980 , Camille is looking forward to enjoying retirement and getting to see much of the world that she has dreamed about. Truffles remains open and in full operation while the transition takes place. We are still serving the same fresh local ingredients and great specials you all love. Wading River will always hold a special place for Camille. Thank you for all your support throughout the years. We are very fortunate to finish on the top. We welcome with open arms the new upcoming owners Austin and his Wife Loann.

Not everyone is happy with the changes!

We have been going here for many years. Always a pleasant experience with great food and wonderful employees. The restaurant was sold and things are changing. Unfortunately the changes aren't what we were looking for. My wife and I are progressive types and to sit in a restaurant with all the TV's tuned to Fox News was a little much. Instead of news maybe some sports should be shown or both sides of the news. Along with this is a change in the seating with everyone sort of being together and no longer the cozy seating of the past. This is kind of my opinion. The restaurant no longer is the place for us but others might enjoy the changes and if that is what the neighborhood enjoys it is fine just that we will seek out other venues.

Good food & great service

Went with the family and sat on the upper level in the front of the restaurant. It was busy so was surprised that the wait on our food order took longer than I expected. The service was very good from the server and the food was excellent. Not bad prices.

Terrible food. Terrible service. It’s more of a bar than restaurant.

We sat for about 30 minutes before our food came out. It was horrible. My daughter ordered penne with vodka sauce and it was so greasy it was inedible. My sister had dried out flounder, Everything was horrible, the food was pricey considering the quality. It’s more of a bar, than a bistro. Don’t waste your money

Finally Went

I've known about this place for awhile, but just finally went. Great chili, good stew, nice locals. A nice couple bought me a shot and talked about traveling. Would go back for a nice hearty winter meal🥘🥃

This place is tucked away in the town food store plaza and I would imagine people are not expecting much from that location...the take out pizza place, the Chinese take out... and then there is Truffles! Oh, you must give it a try! This time we had the clam corn chowder - YUM! Great start! They serve pasta done the right way AND the seafood is fresh. Word in town is they have great burgers - but we were in the mood for the sea's bounty. It is a lovely place inside with an upper booth area away from the bar, a bar separated by glass from the other dining areas and the atmosphere is so warm and friendly. Check it out - you will be glad!

The restraurant looks nice, the service was okay, so was the priceing. However, my chicken parm tasted like rubber. Will not go back!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am very concerned regarding your experience with the chicken parmigiana. We have been serving the chicken entree with many happy guests. I wish you would have mentioned this when you were there so we could correct this right away. Since 1984 we have served our community. We invite you back to enjoy a meal you’ll be pleased with. Friendly atmosphere and great staff we had a large party and one waitress and she was great. Some of us had the chicken parmigiana and pasta that was great as were the french fries they were yummy. Stay away from the steak tidbits with mushrooms and mozzarella. Steak was over cooked and the portion was too small compared to the other dishes at our table. The burgers were awesome. All in all a great place

We haven't been back to Truffles in a while since Mike the Chef passed. We finally went back to see Camille and have some diner, I was taken back by the EXCELLENT preparation of the food and the quality of taste, I had the sea food FRI DIAVOLO and my wife had the roasted half duck I could not stop eating my wife was laughing at me because she said i looked like a little kid eating ice cream. The sauce was UN-traditional marinara and believe me it was amazing.I would recommend this plate to anyone who enjoys a Fri diavolo. Now, my wife order the duck and she said it was out of this world!!! Camille's new chef did the job and with amazing taste and properly cooked, Oh, I was impressed that all the shrimps tails were removed, I have not seen this since I ate at Villa Mosconi on Mcdougal street. IN the City. You have to give Truffles an new look and taste. Once again Camille has gone beyond to improve the best Restaurant in Wading River to the EXTREMELY BEST IN WADING RIVER!!! The waitress we had was Dawn very on top of everything there is also Grace and Katye who will make sure you order is perfect..

Love the steaks and friendly service!

My friend and I went to Truffles because I had such A great experience the last time I was there. I have to say this time was even better if that is possible! The steaks at truffles are absolutely to die for and the service is fast and friendly. It’s a smaller place so you feel like you’re at somebody’s house. there are a lot of locals that eat at Truffles and for good reason. The manager Barry was making sure everything was to our satisfaction and helped us to choose a wine that was an excellent value for the price. My friend said she thought it was one of the best fish dishes that she had ever had... which is saying a lot since she’s from southern Italy! Truffles Bistro keep doing what your doing. A++++++++

Best New Year's Eve Party!!!

We had a New Year's Eve party for about 35 people. It was Wonderful!! Everyone had such a great time. The food was delicious. Many of our friends called in the days following the party to tell us what a great time they had and how much they enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was perfect - very relaxed. As midnight approached, Camille handed out hats and blowers - a really nice touch. The party was everything we had hoped for - and more. It definitely won't be our last party at Truffles.

Best place in town!

Best kept secret in Wading River is Truffles Bistro in the King Kullen shopping center. Before you decide to order a fast food burger, visit Truffles and order one of their famous 8 oz handmade burgers prepared the way you want. Burgers are very juicy, with lettuce, ripe tomato and a choice of various toppings. French fires are lightly salted, crispy and the best around. If you want more than a burger, they offer a complete menu which includes steaks, chops, chicken and seafood. I am partial to the Flounder Francaise served with linguini. They always oblige and put extra Francaise sauce over my linguini! Bring the kids. Twelve and under can order off the kids menu for $7.95 which includes a small soda or apple juice, french fries, cole slaw or vegetable and a dessert. The restaurant is immaculate and an awesome friendly place to have lunch or dinner meal.

Truffles has been in Wading River for many years and is a very nice bar/restaurant. You can eat in the bar and order from both the bar menu and the dining room menu. Friendly place with good food and reasonable prices. .

Amazingggg Steaks Fish

I went to truffles bistro because one of my friends was raving about it... all I can say is that my friend was absolutely right! Truffles bistro is a hidden gem In in a small town!!! The “Shell Steak” was recommended by the server Dawn and it was Done perfectly! It’s funny you wouldn’t expect a small place like this to have such incredible food. My date had the flounder and she said it was one of the best fish dishes that she’s had in a long time. I can’t wait to go back to truffles again great service great food good prices...5 stars!!!
