Visiting NYC for a couple of days for holiday and wanted to have some good pizza. Looked at reviews for pizza near our hotel. Sunnyside popped up with good reviews and it did not disappoint. Great pizza, good and hot even with delivery. Clearly a...quality delicious pizza. We highly recommendMore

We were eating in the restaurant next door and could'nt help but notice the amount of people buying pizza from this place. We went a couple of nights later close to quiting time, just before 10pm. Bought 3 massive slices of pizza to go and...ended up having to leave half of the 3 slice because we were full up.More

Excellent pizza of all types. Grandma's, Sicilian, specialty toppings and of course, plain. The amazing thing is the place is remarkably small. A little counter to eat at if you need to. We get ours to go, in and out. Staff is genuinely friendly.

Its really order out place but you can eat there in the small front space. We mostly order for delivery. The pizzas are delicious, medium thin crust. The best bit is the sesame seeds baked into the crusts. It really makes a difference.

It is really a small pizzeria literally has one table and a very small counter with a couple of stools but they literally have the best hearty pizza in the neighborhood. What makes this pizza so special is their crust which has sesame seeds, tangy...tomato sauce plus a really good amount of cheese. For me this pizza has a perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. This place can get ridiculously crowded. The staff here is very friendly and they can move pretty quickly. They are right off 40th street Lowery stop on the 7 train. Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area craving pizza.More

I knew I wrote the review long time ago but perhaps I forgot to post because I couldn't find it. Since the opening of the place (few years ago), Hubby and I have been getting pizza from here if we crave for pizza. I'm not...a pizza eater but to have the nearest pizza place a few steps away is insane not to try it. The pizza maker Eddie was great. Not sure whether he's still around at this location. Mike and his team are friendly to all neighborhood customers. They even have customers outside Sunnyside neighborhood who happen to drive down and up Queens Boulevard. I think people heard about this place on the news. It's a New York style pizza place, so the plain slice is everyone's favorite. Note that the place is not a restaurant so there's only 2-4 seats that you can use for a quick bite because customers come and go a lot. We have tried the calzone and other types too but you can’t go wrong with the plain one. Order take out, better!More

From reading other reviews, most likely we are the outlier and caught this place on a bad day. Surly/abrupt staff took our order. Margherita was soft, doughy and flopped all over the place. Cheese was a bit funky. Can vouch for the sesame crust but...that's about it. Too many pizza places nearby to give this a second chance.More

They generously fill the pizza with huge portions of toppings. Their cheese is the best. Love their spinach, sausage and really all of their toppings. They have the best pizza in New York.

My favorite pizza place ever! It's delicious! Nobody makes crust like they do. The staff is always very friendly and fast, they know you are in a rush. Highly recommend. Not much space to sit but got great taste!

If you're looking for a great New York "street" pizza, this is it! Two friends and I went here for a late lunch, and we are definitely going to return in the future. The pizzas are very fresh, and there are plenty of choices. One...of my friends got the spicy buffalo chicken pizza and marveled at how good it was for the rest of the evening. If the pizza is not under a heater, they put the slice back into the oven to heat it up. At this establishment, the slices are HUGE, so one slice will likely sate most appetites. The crust here was also the best crust I've ever tasted. They bake sesame seeds into it, which gives it a great flavor. The owner and workers are also exceedingly nice. They are not shy and carried on a conversation with us for a bit! Be advised that there is limited seating here (five seats total), so make sure you're prepared to eat standing or while walking. Great place, will be returning again soon!More
