Picked this place for dinner because of the Yelp reviews. Some were not so good but decided to try it anyway. Got there at around 6pm on sat. Host said 10-15 min wait for 3 of us, np. It as actually 5 min. Place was smaller than it seemed in the pics. No frills type seafood place. I was aware... More

The Cull House has been around forever. It is our family's go- to local seafood place you can be comfortable and casual dining in after the beach. Located in sight of the Sayville ferry landings, they have excellent soups - my favorite is the half and half New England / Manhattan clam chowder. If you have a good appetite, you... More

We were looking to sample some of the area's great local seafood, but this didn't qualify. The food was bland, skimpy portions and overpriced for what you get. The service wasn't very good either. We didn't expect to come into a sit down restaurant only to find paper plates & plastic utensils? I would not go back here and can't... More

It's a nice local place down by the boatyards. It does not have a view of the water. I tried it after a friend recommended it. It's not fancy, but the food is good if you don't mind paper plates and plastic utensils. The grilled salmon and stuffed shrimp were both very good. They had plenty of other choices including... I had seen The Cull House featured on Fios 1 on "The Restaurant Hunter" when he was reviewing Lobster Rolls on Long Island and recommended this restaurant. My friend and I tried it and it did not disappoint. The Lobster Roll had just enough meat mixed with mayo on a nice bun. We had a choice of sides, so I... More

We tried the Cull House yesterday, after seeing it on Restaurant Hunter – mistake. Food was ok, prices were high, service was horrendous. There was one girl doing everything. She waitressed, bartended and cleared the tables. When we first arrived her ‘boss’ served our drinks, then things went downhill. When we asked about the long wait, we were told ,... More

I hadn't been there in quite some time, but decided to go one Friday evening when friends and I just didn't want to change out of our shorts and get all dressed up for dinner...I thought of the Cull House...not frills...great seafood! Every dish we had was more sumptuous than the last...two kinds of friend Calamari always an appetizer staple... More

The Cull House is a comfortable, affordable local seafood restaurant with outstanding food! I love lobster and they have an amazing special from Sunday to Thursday. I don't know how they do it, but it is the most delicious and perfectly steamed lobster I have ever eaten. And I have ordered it many times. I have also enjoyed the seafood... More

Stopped in recently for lunch. Had the New England clam chowder and the grilled cheese and lobster. The soup was rich and flavorful and the sandwich was nicely balanced with cheese and lobster... they were not skimpy on the lobster! Would definitely get these dishes again. The staff is always helpful and pleasant.
