First time going to Beija Flor and you have to go! This cute and lively restaurant left the best impressions! All the meals ordered were to die for and melted in our mouths. From the grilled salmon with vegetables, to the burger, to the mixed...green salad with grilled shrimp, to the shrimp with garlic sauce, and the yuca fries, everything was *chef's kiss* mouth-watering! Service was excellent! The servers were efficient and polite. Cícero was hands-down such a hospitable, welcoming, accommodating, and friendly host! Our party went to celebrate a birthday and he came out with a candle sparkler on the most delicious and creamiest flan while the band sang "Happy Birthday" in Portuguese! Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Long Island City. It was such a short and easy walk from the E Queens Plaza train station. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. I recommend it to everyone!More

Went there last Sunday thinking I would have a great time and left annoyed and very upset. Waitress were not attentive and I even had to go close to the bar area to request a waiter which were on the phone texting instead of paying...attention to costumers. Ordered pao de queijo, since a friend was visiting and wants to try. Also ordered main course and after 30 minutes waiting for my order another waiter passed by and I ask to get more water since our glasses were never refilled, regardless been there for 30 minutes. I then questioned about pao de queijo order ( appetizer ) and was told it takes a while. I said it would be nice if I were told when order the "appetizer" that it would take forever. I ask to talk to the manager and was told there was no manager ( never mind its a Sunday 1:00 pm ) - who needs a manager right?! So I then ask the waiter to not bring my food before my appetizer since it would be cold once it all arrives together. So after 50 minutes we Then got our main course and then I request to cancel the appetizer ( never seeing appetizer taking longer than main course ) We ate and ask for the check. They had charged for the appetizer that I had canceled and also had 20 percent gratuity included!! ( we were only 2, not a group) So I doubt that I will ever go back. Lazy waiters terrible managed place. Too badMore

Nice place in long island city. Plenty of seating inside and a huge screen for brazillian football. Staff is family based and speaks portuguees/English. The food is authentic and ok in price. We ordered the picanha, among others, and the portion was gigantic but when...asked for "medium rare" it came well done. I know americans dont apericiate raw meat but it was a shame of a good piece of meat. Caiperinha was good and had a decent level of alcoholMore

On our family trip to NYC area...we spend a night in a block away from this hidden gem. After a busy day, we went to get some food to feed them and ran into this place. We had a few drinks and some very delicious...snacks. Kids just wanted pizza so getting dinner tehre was not an option. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu items looked great. After going back to teh room I looked at the pictures of the entrees and almost went back to enjoy their food....but it was too late. Based on what I was able to have, I do recommend this place if you are in the area.More

Sampled three starters as part of our meal. Had grilled veg, crispy chicken and smoked sausage. Potion sizes were good. Very tasty. Although the chicken lacked a bit of moisture and tenderness.

Stumbled at this Brazilian restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised with taste and quality of the food as well as with great service. Had pumpkin and shrimp soup, Linguiça Caseira Na Chapa (Grilled brazilian sausage served sizzling with farofa and vinaigrette) and Carne de sol...com mandioca (dried beef with Yuca) all accompanied by an authentic Brazilian Caipirinha. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.More

Here they don't have parking so street parking it is. but depending on when you get here it is not super hard to get parking They have live music on certain days so make sure to check it out cause if you love it yay...if not nay cause there is a cover charge associated with the live music. Also pay attention if you come in and the band starts well after you been there cause they may sneak the cover charge on you too. Here they have Brazilian food and it is all a la cart, so don't expect a buffet not a by the weight. The atmosphere is nice, the decor is warm and sophisticated. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to larger and small parties, however keep in mind that they do have live music here on certain days and then it can be very difficult to find a table. But they are amazing to try and accommodate, they will try to give you a table for a quick dinner whenever possible even if they are all booked. We came over for a late dinner. We were a larger group but at the time we came it was near closing time so it worked our just fine. They were amazing Batida de coco- amazing, a must try when coming here, nice and sweet. Loads of coconut flavor and little coconut pieces. this is my go to cocktail here. Guarana- this is a very popular soda in brazil, I love it and if you never had you should! Pasteis de queijo- I was not impressed with them, the cheese was almost non existant I was expecting a lot more cheese, this appetizer is not a great idea. It comes with a ketchup and mayo sauce and still did not save it. They should add more cheese and have the pastry a little drier cause it was a bit too fatty Manjar de coco- that takes the prize, amazing!! Not heavy and very yummy with lots of coconut pieces, loved it. Brigadeiro- this mousse was a little heavier so unless u are a crazy chocolate lover this is not for you, this dessert is very strong and thick. Pao de queijo- as expected, fresh and warm from the oven very nice, these are worth to have for sure. So I been here plenty of times and some of them the food was amazing and others not so much, I think I don't have a pic but the feijoada is awesome, you might have to order your protein separately but none the less it is a very worth it dish. Here is a hit or miss with the food in my opinion, so good luck, but the service at least to me has been great consistently. Come by and take a chance you might be glad you did.More

Very. Ice atmosphere with good live music. Even one guest singer was brilliant but as ever there was a bad karaoke episode with one local... but fun all the same the food was just average and unfortunately overpriced - burger was good, steak was generous...but sides(black beans salsa and rice ) were really disappointing and tasteless. A beef risotto dish was nice - waitress needed to be a bit more aware as jacket was dragged across food at one stage ... would go again for a drink and music but not for the foodMore

Came for lunch on a Sunday as staying nearby two large family groups having birthdays. Otherwise no other patrons service was very slow taking a long time to get drinks. Food was a bit hit and miss two dishes where excellent and the other two...below par. Risotto and salad good burger and other dish with fine shredded chicken and potato straws dry and tasteless. Maybe it was what we ordered was a little disappointed after reading the reviews.More

I’ve been coming to this place for about 4 yrs and travel all the way from Westchester County to LIC. This is by far one of my favorite places to go with my husband and kids or just my husband and I on a weekend....Their caipirinha is to die for! Their Frango a Passarinho (fried pieces of chicken) in Spanish “chicharrón de pollo con hueso” is so good. Their Fraldinha “skirt steak” served with mashed yucca is another winner. Seriously, everything taste good, white rice, beans, mashed potatoes, French fries. Love the atmosphere and they have live music on Friday nights. I love this place. Highly recommend!More

The food was great. We ordered shrimp + Brazilian sausage with coconut custard for dessert. To drink we had passion fruit caipirinhas. The food was fantastic; and they were just appetizers! If you're looking for a romantic setting, this is the most formal an elegant...Brazilian restaurant in Astoria. The prices are a little on the high side, but well worth it.More

We ate here already twice, as their food is extremely delicious, they also have really nice staff, so it was a pleasure to spent some time here. During our first visit we also had a chance to listen to the live music, which was also...nice. Once back in Long Island, we will for sure come back!More
