Dropped by here on a Sunday noon with the fam after seeing their ad on the expressway. I don't what to make of it. We're inside and minutes passed with staff seeing but completely ignoring us. In the pic we're greeted by a sign "wine,...cigar, etc" right in the very front making me wonder did i go in the right place? Then there's a easel ad on the right for Pad Thai and Tom yum, hmmm. Right under the wine sign there's a friggin Karaoke booth, still at the foyer. Finding a menu ourselves and checking it, there aren't really many choices besides the Teppan, and one of the waitstaff finally approached saying they don't have pork for the day. And for the advertised Thai food, the ones on the easel are pretty much it, except for the Pad Thai, which also isn't available. The Teppan table to the right is just one common one for 20 (?) diners. We walked away that time. Maybe if we're after just after purely BASIC teppan, then we'll revisit. They oughta be GOOD at that i suppose.More

Teppan 101, opened in 2013, focuses on using fresh ingredients (all-natural without extenders), with beef from Argentina and seafood from Bataan, and cooking them the teppanyaki way. We all sat down on a big hibachi table which can accommodate up to 15 people. The hibachi...grill is a charcoal brazier used traditionally in many Japanese households. Now more widely used in performance cooking, we had front row seats as our engaging chef prepared and cooked our food on a flat grill right in front of us. Eager to please us with his cooking expertise, the adorable chef, with his infectious smile, performed an impressive cooking exhibition with some razzle dazzle that added to the total and good dining experience. Prior to cooking the food, he entertained us with his cooking instrument skills by throwing kitchen utensils mid-air and catching it (just like what bartenders do except that they used kitchen utensils here), as he prepared Chicken Teriyaki, Spicy Korean Pork and Beef Salpicao which was served with Japanese Fried Rice and Mixed Vegetables, all finished in an aesthetic presentation. Overall, the live teppanyaki style of cooking experience was pretty amazing and the outcome was food preparation turned, not only as an art, but also as a performance.More

Love the experience of having your own Teppan Chef cook delicious dishes right infront of you and also entertain you as the chef show you juggling tricks, flambé techniques as he skillfully prepare your meal. The experience is worth enjoying with good friends... Can't wait...to be back and experince it again and taste the other food items on their menu.More
