My friend and I just finished a meeting in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. It was noon time and we drove to nearby Pagsanjan to dine at Aling Taleng's. Located at the corner street of Gen. Luna was the restaurant which over time seems to improve its facilities by means of a parking lot at the back. We ordered Tortang Patola (Omelette with patola and onions as fillings) and the amazing Sinampalukang Manok ( yummy with mustasa leaves and sour soup). To top off our lunch is the famous Halu halo of Aling Talengs. Aside from the delicious lunch we even went shopping for they have a diverse products of native delicacies. We were able to buy caimito (star apple), kropek( from Nagcarlan), Barquillos, Mamon tostado and even a drop bag colored blue made of plastic straws.

After venturing to an organic farm, the day was not complete without halo-halo as our merienda or afternoon snack. As we were still full in our belly, we decided to visit Lake Caliraya. Once at the lake, we gazed and admired the lake's serenity, grateful to be in this place. After 2 hours of gallivanting, we headed to Aling Taleng. Right away we ordered 5 halo-halos. We mixed the ingredients and had our first taste. It was indeed refreshing dessert as we tasted fresh milk and full root ingredients. It was indeed a memorable and satisfying dessert.

Aling Taleng's Halo-Halo might give the impression that it serves only halo-halo, but in truth it serves a good variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, as well as traditional Filipino snacks. Judging from the number of people visiting the place, I should say it's quite famous in the area. The restaurant looks very simple on the outside, but it has a homey ambiance and serves really good food. We tried some Filipino and Italian dishes and some "bibingka" which tasted great! We also bought some "pasalubong" (different types of local biscuits and a bottle of fresh guyabano). Service was good and friendly. Highly recommended!

We celebrated Father's Day lunch dito sa restaurant na ito but we regret na naglunch kami dito. First, they told us to wait for 20-30 minutes but it took them almost an hour to serve our food (understandable pa to kasi madaming guest). Secondly, when the food was served, we've waited for the wait staff to give us plates and silvers but unfortunately we still need to approach the staff that we don't have plates and silvers yet. Thirdly, As we eat, may langaw ang pancit canton! As in naluto yung pancit canton together with the fly! Hindi na kami nagreact dahil aside sa gutom na gutom na ang family ko eh ayokong masira ang araw namin. Lastly, sa al fresco kami kumain (garage 86),the rain fell while we are eating, walang kahit isang wait staff ang nag approach samin if we were ok sa table namin. We end up na basa ang likuran ng anak at mother ko dahil hindi nacoveran ng umbrella ang buong table namin. In fairness, the kare kare and buttered chicken was very good but we will not come back again here! There's a lot of restaurants around Pagsanjan that serves good food and gives good service. It is not worth coming back.

This is one of the famous restaurants in Pagsanjan located only a few meters away from the Pagsanjan Church just after the bridge leading to Cavinti. It's been serving clients its famous "halo-halo" since the 1930s. Aside from this, it also serves local Filipino dishes and delicacies. I particularly like their "bibingka" and "puto bumbong". Unfortunately the "bibingka" was not yet available when we visited the place at around 9:00 AM. At any rate, the place is just small and simple and parking space is quite limited.

It's not worth its price. Their puto bumbong is just okay but not as delicious too. Service is poor too, yung isang order namin ended up na kinancel nalang namin kasi pauwi na kami tas di parin na se-serve eh wala naman masyadong customer.

The halo halo has a distinctive, creamy taste, using the carabao's milk.
The place is frequented by motorists. Its humble beginnings with Php10.00 as capital and a lone table for all the ingredients, flourished into a respectable diner. The staff and waiters are friendly and accommodating. The comfort room is also very clean.

If your looking for a place to dine in Pagsanjan and you're way too hungry... THIS ISN'T THE PLACE TO EAT.... It takes an hour for your orders to be served, to think we just ordered Pancit and wanted to try their FAMOUS HALO-HALO...
The Halo-Halo, is not as good as what they say... Not much in the Halo-Halo, I would prefer the Halo-Halo in Cavite is far beter than this...
Ambiance is fine but it's just all OVERATED. sorry

You can't come to Pagsanjan and not eat here. The food and staff were great. We were very happy. Will definitely come back next time in town.

Prepare to wait for an hour or more before your food get served.
Noticed also that the large groups' order were prioritised.
Lots of flys too.

Always been curious to try their halo halo, finally did last weekend. We went to Lumban, then to Cavinti, then passed by Pagsanjan on our way back and Aling Taleng’s was right smack there. We only ordered halo halo and bibingka, as we have just finished our lunch in Cavinti.
Verdict- halo halo was good, but too sweet for my taste.
As in it is diabetically very sweet.
The traditional ingredients are all good, contains none of the gulaman sago in commercialized halo halo.
The bibingka was good while hot, it was too thick for me.
So many customers inside, locals and foreigners alike, eating halo halo of course! It’s air conditioned, so it’s a good place to cool off

Last time we were here, the place was just charming in its simplicity. But now it’s airconditioned, bigger and they offer various kinds of food; not just halo halo. Sadly, their new menu wasn’t all that good. They’re pricey, too. Their famous halo halo wasn’t as good as before; it has become too sweet and sticky, and not worth the price, the waiting time and the effort of going there. But if you’re with friends and having fun, almost an hour’s wait doesn’t matter at all.
