Never coming back here and never recommending anyone to eat or stay here. I had low expectations, but this was by far an all time low in my world travel experience, and I'm from this country, so I know what kind of way they were...fooling us. I'm also working for a travel company so I'm not even being biased when I say that this was my worst managament experience ever. As we looked around for a place to eat, we decided to just eat at the place we already booked to stay in which was this hotel. Harley's pub and hotel was surprisingly filled with very old men and very young filipinas.. so you'd know what kind of area this is. The price of their food ranges from 190-500 pesos for a regular meal (which is pretty high for a meal in the area which costs below 150 usually). The "sausage platter" I had was 195 and yet it was not a platter, it was like 1 sausage cut into smaller slices. Their mashed potatoes were definitely just powder. Small servings. Next, we requested the poached fish fillet to be cooked again since as my partner opened it and ate a few bites he noticed that the inside part was raw (see attached picture) and after my partner felt unwell from the few bites he had from it, he cancelled the recooking of the fish and wanted the whole order to be cancelled. The manager came to us and told us that they weren't going to cancel the order but they could change the order to something else. The manager insisted that there was nothing wrong with the fish (she even opened it - see attached photo), the manager's excuse was that's how poached fish is supposed to look. You can clearly see it from my photo that the fish is raw. Me and my partner look young but we know how to cook food so we would know if it's raw. It was unsafe to eat and we told her that it was asked to be recooked. I was immensely disappointed with the manager's need to point out that it is not their fault and that's how fish is supposed to look like. The manager even mentioned they have been there for 10 years so they know what they're doing. It's like they were telling us that they are perfect and their cooking shouldn't be questioned. Wow. I even asked her "so you're just not going to believe what your customer is complaining about?" To which she expressed that she's only explaining how it's cooked. I really can't believe how they handled the whole situation where they were pushing their way instead of being more humble and letting the customer feel that they have a right to tell them if their food is not edible. The customer is your priority. We didn't feel comfortable after the confrontation, they made us feel unwelcome and they didn't even say anything as we left. Their table with the manager sitting down was right behind us so they saw us leaving and they didn't say a word, not even an apology. This lunch before staying in their small hotel ruined our experience there, ruined the mood and made us just want to get out of there. The room we stayed in had lots of mosquitoes and the bathroom is quite small and dirty. The fan had rust and dust. You'll just have to experience it yourself if you want an overall bad experience. The only good thing here was that there was a smart TV.More
