Expats rule this place

Great place but chances of you seeing a game is minimal. Local expats sign the “board” to watch their games early so if you’re just visiting and want to watch a US college or NFL forget it. It’s soccer on the only two tvs there. But I do understand that. It’s more important to service the locals before visitors….great staff cold beer

Ticks quite a few boxes

Harley's Pub is very conveniently located right next door to where I'm staying. It's kind of a cross between a British pub and a native restaurant. There's a big screen behind the bar mainly showing NRL while I've been here. The coffee is good, the local beers are relatively cheap but unfortunately the imported tap beers have run out at this time. There's a range food available from breakfast to lunch to pub snacks to dinner. There are a few discrete sections including some overlooking the bay. There is also an ATM.

A very good experience, the rooms are not big, but do the job. The pub has an amazing view over the bay, and offers very good service and atmosphere. Food is very nice, it’s worth a look.

Wifi doesn't function in rooms

Wifi does not work in rooms and management having a fit when asking to check out early. Better options exist with bigger rooms, fast wifi, nicer beach front, and lower price. I recommend to take a look at other places.

Pub and hotel

Someone recommended me this place and wow it is very nice and has lots of great dishes, its a pub connected with a hotel. The view is amazing and the staff is nice there is lots of cool decor indoors

Terrible threatening atmosphere

Avoid! Deserves 0 out of 10. Nicely situated overlooking Subic Bay but ruined by nightly tatooed football hooligans swearing at the top of their voices presenting a very threatening atmosphere and an owner who was fine with all this but not a girl in a bikini (in a resort) taking photos. We left and paid for our food rather than stay.

Great place

Very chill place pretty quiet with fans for open air comfort. Had vindaloo which was good but not like UK. 2nd time had pork schnitzel with fries and side salad. Both were done as ordered with avg service time by a smiling waitress. Nice

Only good to watch sports

Average food from a limited menu, reallllly average service. Takes ages to get the attention of waitresses who prefer to stand around the cashier chatting whilst customers ring a bell and wait and wait and wait.

fabulous place to stay

l stayed there in november for 17 days the hotel is right on the beachfront of subic bay l stayed in room D beachfront had ny breakfast and coffee every morning and then go for a swim, Marlou and Mick are great hosts along with all the great stafff , Hanna ,Irene Elaine ,Marvin ,and Rubuen ,l would recommend your stay anytime as l will be back myself , they also have a sports bar all the footy from USA ,England and cricket from Australia ,ask for beachfront room great view of the bay ph +63 920 945 2525

Nice place to have drinks and watch sports. Rooms not so much. No lobby or front desk. Rooms are small. Bathroom was separated by a small wall that did not reach to the ceiling. No doors, just a curtain. Friendly wait staff. SMB on tap.

its a dark dingy place i suppose if you want to watch sport on TV its ok but for anything else there are far better places close by the food was very ordinary and not worth the price

First and only visit

I feel for the staff here as the service was pretty good by local standards. I had a drink and ordered the Swedish Beef Stew with mash potato. MISTAKE! This was my only visit to Harley's but dissuaded me from ever returning. It's a shame as there are quite possibly many good things on their menu but........ At first sight I was impressed by the portion size. However the mash potato tasted like it was straight out of a packet. If it was made from real potato I don't know how they managed to turn it into what I thought could only have been an insipid powdered mash, that they seemingly added too much water to. Reminded me of school dinners. The few pieces of meat that were in the stew were nice and tender. However it was swimming in a sauce which could also only have been produced from a "just add water" packet. The flavourless carrots were so over cooked that they disintegrated to the touch. This was an extremely disappointing experience. I was expecting something really good at that price, and given the surroundings. I didn't complain because I thought that, technically they could just point out that it is what it says in the menu but I did vote with my feet. It's very rare for me to write about a negative experience but I felt compelled to this time.

Interesting Curry with Pasta

I called in here for my birthday eager to give myself a treat of Surf & Turf. However there were no prawns available so that plan failed. I decided to try Vindaloo Curry Pasta. I thought this was an interesting combination. I enjoyed it immensely and they did not hold back on the spice.
