This establishment used to be my default place for breakfast in Angeles city. On today's visit I will check out new destinations. While the place is still immaculately clean the indifferent service and the reduced menu was not welcome. And the subtraction of complimentary biscuits with coffee seems very petty. And no sliced raisin bread even though delivery had just arrived. The attitude of the staff? Total indifference and lack of care. Rather than serve she keeps doing her chores until you demand to be served. I know we are in difficult times but now is the time to shine not regress. You used to be a leader, not so now. And for goodness sake play some Background music it has all the sombre notes of a funeral parlor

Great Tasting Food, Attentive Staff. Reasonable Prices

They have an extensive menu with pictures for every item so you see exactly what you are going to get. They are easy to find located in the same block as the Eurotel Hotel. They are open from 6 AM to 10 pm 7 days a week but be aware the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm.

Authentic German meals

With an outstanding bakery in the front, the real jewel is the restaurant in the back, behind the bakery. Owned by a German, the food is prepared using real German recipes. Sausages are made locally under contract, sauerkraut as well. Prices are extremely competitive with other foreign specialty places in the area. Staff is genuinely happy and pay attention to their customers. Close you eyes and you are in a family restaurant in Germany!

An annoying little scam

The food here is pretty good but they run an annoying scam. If your order comes with bread, no butter or other spread is provided. If you request it, you are charged 25 php (about 50 cents) for a single pat. My response is always the same. I explain that there will be no tip and they should inform the owner of exactly why. Their scam actually saves me money, but that's nothing to celebrate.

It's not brewed coffee it's from a machine

So haven't been there in awhile and since we came from Fred's Pies my husband wanted coffee I asked if they had brewed cashier says yes. Waited a while then they come back with not a full cup. I asked the cashier if they can fill it she says it's from a machine we can't do that. Wow!! What now she says brewed now it's from a machine? Top it off no milk no sugar.. Like what the heck happened? Needless to say I don't think I'll go there again.. we are there all the time and now nah thank you. See pics below how small the cup was also for 70pesos.. sorry what a let down .

Everything is really good here. This is literally the only restaurant that I have been to in Angeles that serves proper Western food. And their prices are equal or cheaper than their competition. Their bakery is really good as well so you should definitely get a couple of baked goods to go!

The best European breakfast in town! Angel's (German) Bakery has the best bread in town, and serves a good European selection for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and munchies all day. They also offer a transportation service to their Barrio Barretto deli - Subic Bay daily.

My go to place for a great breakfast!

Most mornings when I am staying in Angeles City I wander up Fields Avenue for the best European style breakfast in town. The bread is real bread, not the sweet blotting paper variety. All the food is freshly prepared, and cooked to order and fairly priced. Also visit their great deli shop for those sorely missed items from home.

From top to flop. Was once a top address for good, inexpensive simple dishes and snacks. Since then, prices have doubled in some cases, while portions are increasingly suffering from consumption. With sauerkraut with pork knuckle, the pork knuckle slices are less than 5mm thick, the sauerkraut is gone with a spoon, millimeter portions even with meat loaf with egg, etc. The price/quality level in the canteen-like restaurant is now often higher than that of good restaurants. The wages of the employees correspond to the absolute minimum wage. The Đây off (=day off) is without pay. Etc

Situated almost next door to the Devera Hotel it is an excellent choice for breakfast. The shop has a mouth watering range of bread and pastries. A good selection of German imported food as well as cold cuts are available.

Clown Owner Gets Played

This is an entertaining follow up to my previous review about the butter scam. As I disclosed, I don't tip anytime they run it. So I went in today. No service. About to leave when an old German geezer approached and identified himself as the owner. He explained that his staff claimed (not that I was stiffing them on the tip whenever they ran the butter scam - the actual case) that I had entered the restaurant on 'multiple occasions and ordered food and left'. Now folks, especially especially any restaurant owners, let's examine this claim and focus on incentives. For your analysis, please assume I am the worst person on the planet. (My wife would probably agree with you) I allegedly would enter the restaurant, sit down, check the menu, order and leave. So figure 20 minutes wasted with no monetary gain. To what end? Have any restaurant owners ever observed such behavior? I tried to point out the prima facia absurdity of the claim but the owner was no rocket scientist so it was all a mystery to him. Little Gem

Hidden little gem with charcter and varied menu. Great find after being recommeded numerous times. Small deli type in front with cafe at the rear with access from the shop. Very pleasant staff and very helpfull.Great menu and dont forget to look at the boards on the walls for speciality meals and maybe offers. Interior clean and efficient and you can see ur food being cooked freshly. Bakery in the front with nice fattening cakes and sandwiches. Plenty parking opposite out front.Very close to ABC hotel. Try it u will like it. I had chilli concarne very tasty.

The owner, Hans Leupold, is an awful abelist! He kicked me out due to my Tourette's Syndrome being too "loud". I have video proof but sadly this website won't let me submit it. If you have vocal tics or worse like Pseudobulbar affect then do not come to this restraunt.
