Place to satiate your Mexican food cravings

I've been relocated to Angeles, Pampanga, and me being in the "Culinary Capital" of the PI, went and try almost all of the places boasted in social media when visiting PAMPANGA. Spanglish is the place to go if you want to satiate your Mexican food cravings. Here's my honest review about the place based on my experience. PROS: ♦they've got the most authentic Mexican food taste I was craving. ♦just the right amount of spices is what makes them LIT ♦generous serving ♦accommodating staff CONS: ♦for me, the place is too small and lacks the Mexican vibe needed. Like the place doesn't go with the food they serve. ♦I ordered the sausage bun which I enjoyed (don't get me wrong) because of the balanced taste, however, I'd prefer a not-so-soggy bun. The sauce drenched the bun. I ain't complaining, but would rather suggest serving the sauce instead. ♦cash only and their price is not average so bring bills or you can use the ATM nearby

Mexican Business Dinner at Clark!

FIRST TIME I ENJOYED! Beef quesadillas, Nachos is very generous with cheese and beef. Their Hamburgers wrapped in a Balzama type of pita bread is DELICIOUS! Service is quick. Wait staff are attentive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Been wanting to go here for the longest time to see what the fuss is all about. Ordered soft tacos for starters. An entire taco is smaller than my palm. It's not even warm. Straight up cold. 1/5 I ordered the beef burrito and my girlfriend got the beef beans and cheese burrito. We even added the 40 peso "wet" option for good measure. Everything felt old. It was obviously microwaved (only spots of the entire burrito was hot, the rest were barely warm). The "wet" option where they added enchilada sauce, melted cheese, sour cream and olives? It was two slices of olives, enchilada sauce tasted old as well. The sour cream had zero sourness. It's just cream. And watered down at that. The meat and filling in general is okay but in no way something to write home about. Tbh the only saving grace of our entire experience were the condiments. We almost finished the entire bottles given. 2.5/5

Not Authentic

This is not real Mexican food. Not even close. The nachos have some form of fake cheese and the chips aren’t traditional Mexican style chips. The tacos were okay but again the sauces disappointed. The fact this restaurant is rated so high just means that the locals don’t know Mexican food.

Not Real Mexican

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. While good Mexican food is hard to find in the Philippines both The Tequila Reef and Iguanas are better than Spanglish. The chips are not even close to real tortilla chips and I’m not sure what they cheese is they are putting on the chips. Not sure how this restaurant gets such good ratings when it is simply terrible.

I’m not sure where all those great reviews come from saying the best food in Clark, because we just got a couple things, and neither were very good. As far as Mexican food I put at the bottom of what we’ve had in Clark and around Angeles city. Maybe it was just the cook that day I don’t know, but not very enjoyable.

Tried this since my wife likes mexican, thought it was a spanish restaurant because of the name.

Took a while for our food to arrive, but it was surprisingly ok. Doubt if its authentic mexican, but it was good enough to for a mexican fix, better than Mexicali.

Something for Everyone!

The classic burger was so big and juicy! Definitely worth the calories they’re packing 😁 Chili con karne was also great. Another discovery is their buffalo wings with sweet and spicy sauce - we wished we had ordered the larger size after sampling a piece each! I want to go back to try the other dishes next time!

The while the service is great, food is okay

Getting there was a bit of a challenge and while the ambiance is good (love the whimsical clock installation piece), the food is palatable and okay at best. I'm from Houston so I know what great Mexican / TexMex is. While they do have fresh ingredients, a super hot plate, and nice corn tortillas... there's something lacking. Portions are smaller than what I've expected. I guess if you want an introduction to what's good Mexican food is then you can start right here and hopefully work your way up.

Easily our favorite in Clark

We had the best time eating here. We had the chimichanga, wet burrito, chili con carne, paquitos and quesadilla. All were great and tasted authentic. We had shakes and drinks too, which we liked a lot. The restaurant is small but decorated tastefully. Staff are courteous. There's ample parking space.

A Gem in Clark

I stopped by Clark on the way back to Manila and searched TripAdvisor and was very glad I did. They also serve margaritas and beer which are not in the menu. I’ll definitely be going back here again with some friends or family. Staff were very nice my pictures don’t really do it justice. Keep up the great work.
