Great food, but...

The food was great and the value for money cannot be bettered, but the staff were overwhelmed by the numbers present. They did their best! The real problem was that so many tables and chairs were crammed into the restaurant one could not move once seated. And if you can get up, the men's toilet is suitable for only one man at a time, and there must have been fifty or more customers on the night. But I'll certainly go again!

Thank you for the review! We are a small place. The men's bathroom can actually accommodate two with a urinal and a toilet.

Great breakfast! But just OK Mexican food

This place has a great atmosphere, fun to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail or Margarita. Their breakfast is very good as well. Those are the Pros. So teh rating is for breakfast and place for cocktails, margarita or a beer. The CONS: For me the Mexican food is just not that good, not bad but not great either. Especially the tacos, they are standard American tacos at best nothing Mexican about them. I would love it if their Mexican food was better because it's in a great location but can't jump onboard

Amazing Food!!!

What can I say this place may look ghetto but sure has the best margarita and food at a good price. We had a problem with a cook or whatever she was she toom our orders and ive specifically asked for which bill the drinks were. By the time we were gonna pay she had it mixed up even after telling her 3x where the bill goes and what drinks theyve had. Other than that the food the drinks the waitresses are the best the food is great and the prices are affordable. Best place to hang and drink with friends!!!

Took my 4 Filipino nephews there for breakfast this morning. What can i say but excellent! Breakfast was huge and cheap (compared to what i was used to). And if you know Filipinos you know they dont waste food so the fact that 3 out of 4 of my nephews couldn't finish their breakfast says a lot for the large portions!. Staff were great and the owner was friendly.

Over Priced with no taste

I live here in Angeles and have gone to Tequila Reef many times but over the last 3 years maybe only twice a year hoping the food would somehow get better, it hasn't. I ordered the 3 piece combo, the soft shell beef taco was OK, the pork burrito and the chicken enchilada were smothered in the same sauce and you could tell which was which, neither had any taste what so ever. The rice & beans were ok as well. Today the service was also bad, I always get a table so I can face the bar, the girls never came to fill my water or ask how the food was. The waitress took my money and returned but didn't say a word, just left the change on the table. You say the cooks are trained, how about training the girls to serve the customers correctly, Bad service equals a bad tip. The place is always clean but they could do a much better, then again there aren't many Mexican food options here so maybe they just don't care.

Very good Mexican food with all the right hot sauces. Even their Cajun red beans and rice is good even if it doesn’t fit the standard style. Staff is friendly and helpful!

Not as good as the reviews... really

We had a Mexican burrito with pork inside. It was maybe 5 out of 10. Then a spaghetti with sausage ... it was aweful ... inedible. Sausage smelled horrible and tasted worse.. I can't understand all the great reviews here...

I'm sorry you did not like the sausage. It does say spicy Hungarian sausage. Perhaps not what you expected. I get compliments on it regularly. If you do not like a dish then please complain to the manager for a replacement.

Great food at Tequila Reef in Angeles

Tequila Reef has a variety of meal choices. I tried several and enjoyed every one of them. From my time in the area from November 2023 to January 2024 I must have ate there at least three times a week. I even stopped by there on my way to Manila when I was leaving to get a meal to take with me. The staff is very prompt and professional. In addition the owner an ex US Air Force Veteran like myself is very friendly.

Prawns Scam While Distracted By The Move Upstairs

I was there to meet a friend. I have come here many times over the years for this purpose. So I ordered a beer and prawns. But instead of the usual large prawns, I was presented with prawns 1/3 the size. I instantly recognized them as the SNR frozen prawns. A total scam.

Our seafood comes fresh from our supplier. We never use frozen seafood from a store. The prawns vary in size and are sold by weight. If they are smaller you get more.

Visit for dinner with friends

Popped in for dinner with friends and I ordered the French Onion soup, mixed fajitas and a frozen Margherita. The FM was awesome, but be warned it is quite strong!! The FO Soup was lovely with a generous slab of cheese on top. The Fajitas were great (by Angeles standard) with the beef nice and tender. Service was excellent. All in all very happy.

Fantastic, one of best restaurants I have been to

In the middle of a 40 day vacation in SE Asia. Was at the hotel and some people There suggested I come here. I came for dinner that night and have been here for every meal since! I have tried so many things and all have been huge portions and tasted very good. The service is friends and fantastic, even with a dance when someone gets a margarita on the rocks . Place is usually busy for owning to close. To have such a varied menu with everything will statehood is hard to do. The prices, are a bit high for Philippines but way lower than what I would pay in the states. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent food; don't drink the Margaritas unless you have a hard head!

Pros: excellent food, friendly and professional staff. Good location near to Walking Street. Margaritas excellent (with a caveat!) Cons: Margaritas. I think they load the drink up with rocket fuel. I only had one and an hour later I couldn't talk coherently.

Best Place in Town

This is the place for all kinds of food. I love the staff they're amazing. The food is just yummy.. Margaritas are the bomb!! We try to go there every Thursday for some fun. I don't usually recommend places but this is just THE PLACE to be at, any time of the day!!! Thanks to the great staff and delicious food!!!

I made an account specifically to comment on my experience at Tequila Reef. My wife and I have been coming to Tequila Reef for a while now. The staff is always friendly, and the food and drinks are always amazing. The price of food here is great too. I brought my son and he loved it too. We made this place our usual date spot every 2 weeks. Oh and order the frozen drinks.
