We went to the restaurant last night for a good hearty meal. My salad came it was swimming in balsamic vinegar was more like a soup it was called a fresh green salad but it had more tomatoes than anything else. My son‘s girlfriend ordered...the shrimp scampi they need a new recipe for that. I had the chicken Parm which was excellent after I asked our server to bring me a small container of marinara as my order was misunderstood I didn’t want any sauce on the pasta. I asked for the pasta to have oil and garlic at first he came out with nothing it went back to the kitchen and came back with a lot of oil no garlic the server went back to the kitchen and said the oil was garlic flavored. There was no garlic flavor or garlic. Pasta floating in oil. Brought it home to clean it up. None of us were given a refill on our drinks that sat there empty. One ask for the fresh pepper wouldn’t you think they would want it for their meal as well. All in all we were really disappointed we knew what we were in for money wise but the $130 did not reflect good service or a good meal.More

Avoid at all costs from the moment we walked I. The front door we had the lovely pleasure of meeting the most miserable unfriendly hostess I ever meet she then sat us at a table that was wedged between antler table and a staircase even...with the kids sitting on the staircase side they were squashed against the table I simply asked to move to the table right text to us or in front of us and it was a apparently a big deal for the hostess who reluctantly moved us apparently our waitress also had a issues with us moving as the hostess said we were moving over a table she shakes her head and says why! In a nasty way so we walked out went to BEACH CREEK oyster bar and that was excellent do not waste your time or money at the warf there are a tons of options near byMore

I was once homeless in north philly and ate out of trash cans and would literally prefer that over eating here again. Our server was fantastic the food was a joke. The shrimp was rubber, the flounder was so dry I could of used it...for kindling for a fire. Literally eat anywhere besides this place. Can’t say enough how great our waitress was though 10/10 for her.More

I have to admit I was very excited about visiting this location for the first time after spending many years vacationing in the Wildwoods and trying multiple locations. What wasn't to like, first they excepted reservations ( we were a party of 8 ) thru...Open Table, a rarity in the summer at a Wildwood restaurant, had plenty of parking as they had their own lot and seemed to have a lot across the street that was undeveloped but seemed suitable to park there as many cars did, another plus for this location as parking in the Wildwoods could be challenging in the summer. The view was awesome as this location sits on the bay facing west with lots of windows so if you go, try getting there before sunset. All very exciting stuff, the makings of a start to a great dining experience. Unfortunately The Wharf couldn't satisfy the expectation as making a reservation seemed pointless as waited another 30 minutes for our table. Most restaurants have a hostess or host that sets the mood in a positive way, " Has that Glad you could be with us tonite attitude " however the Wharf's hostess never smiled, seemed annoyed that we were guests and just wasn't pleasant at all or even apologetic about the delay. As we waited for the table, you could notice the 2 different areas to dine. One side is a self seating bar type area that had live music and a bar type menu. Not bad I suppose if your into a loud maybe too many drinks crowd that overflowed in the other dining area. The other fine dining area, was white table cloth, candle lite, elegant area, worthy of getting dressed up for, with average dinner price point of $30 plus. Unfortunately due to the popularity of the bar area, the overall experience in the fine area was ruined. Certainly not worthy of the price point to sit with large loud bachelor or bachelorette parties or not even be able to have conversation at your table while trying to talk over the live band playing in the bar area. However the food was not bad, recommend the Fried Brussel Sprouts or Fried Calamari for appetizers. Dinner portions seemed inconsistant as Fried Seafood Combo's fillet seems 3 times the size of the Broiled version of the seafood combo. Overall service was slow and unattentive to our table. One meal was missed in our order, water, bread, appetizers took much too long to come out to us. Maybe this place has a better feel in the off season if open, but certainly not worth the cost of sitting in the fine dining area in the summer season. If you want a bar, loud crowd, bar food type experience, check it out on the bar side as the price point seems more reasonable. For the benefit of the Wharf, I would recommend to make it all one type of experience under one roof with a welcoming glad to have you, serve you attitude. Certainly didn't get that feel that nite we had dinner here.More

There are 2 restaurants here. Do mot be mislead by the bait and switch We went thinking we were eating off one menu and was handed a completely different menu than the one we were expecting. We had reservations but we're hastely shoved outside to...a dock area and told to find our own seats by a very cranky and unwelcoming hostess. She told us the inside area had poor air conditioning. We never once heard her say thank you or smile once. Instantly turned off by her grumpy appearance. We came back inside because there were no seats put side and she seemed annoyed she had to seat us inside. Why would we have reservations and have to seat ourselves? We powered through dinner with 2 vegan guests who picked this location for their vegan options they found online. Turns out you can only be vegan diners outside and that these 2 restaurants share the same "hostess" and parking lots but 2 completely different kitchens. The only thing that my friends were offered were plates of spaghetti and some steamed veggies. One of which was cucumbers. Who puts cucumbers on spaghetti? We were offered refills on our teas and sodas and we're charged for each and everyone. Ridiculous. With all the fantastic food options wildwood and Cape May have to offer, this place can be skipped.More

Food poisoning I don’t think I need to say more - For three of her five day vacation my sister spent in her hotel room in the bathroom ——- We ordered a couple orders mussels and they were all closed so sent them back— ordered...creamy pasta came out marinara and cold— Soggy cheap fries and MUSHY SHRIMP… If I could close my eyes I would have no idea what I ate because everything that was served was flavorless! The only two things half decent: he drinks and calamari. We also addressed our concerns with the general manager who really didn’t care.More

Reservations for 8 and were seated immediately. Drinks were good and quick. Service was awesome , our waitress was super. The food was so-so. Over cooked salmon, rather bland clams. The pluses here are the view and ability to make reservations as most W.W places...don't take themMore

When we first go there, we told to just sit outside because the wait was too long. Outside was first come first serve. We sat outside along the dock, great sunset. Food was so-so. We were looking for good seafood and sandwiches. After seeing the...menu we ended up ordering a white clam pizza and sandwiches. Pizza was just ok, undercooked. My daughter had the fried chicken sandwich with old bay fries which we had to wait for. When it came out it was ice cold and had potato chips with it. We told the girl and she brough us out a cup of fries and took the sandwich back. We were done with our food when the new sandwich came out with fries that actually had a cheese sauce ( I guess they were supposed to have them from the beginning). They did not take the sandwich off the bill or give us any kind of discount. It was just ok and probably will not return.More

I got the crabmeat stuffed shrimp and for starters the crab meat must have been bread crumbs with crab seasoning I didn’t even taste any crab meat at all the shrimp were very large but they were like eating rubber bands I never had a...shrimp that tough and for $29 yes it went back. I feel sorry for the server it wasn’t her fault the food was that bad. I use to come here many times but haven’t been her for a good 5 yrs ago. We will not be returning. I do have to say the manager took off the meal completely my wife got the fried shrimp and it was just as tough. Maybe the other dishes were better but I was not going to try and inside A/C was not working so by the time we left it looked like I took a shower my shirt was soaked.More
