Nanni Ristorante in Rochelle Park successfully combines Old World charm and dependability with exciting cuisine and an array of specials sure to please the palate. Menu highlights include the anticipated pasta, seafood, veal, beef and poultry sprinkled with surprises such as frog legs and calves’ livers. Seasoned veteran Chef Paolo Gilberto, formerly of Archer’s in Fort Lee, bought into the start-up Nanni in 1986 before bringing along Archer maitre d’ and employees Manny Moreira and Lino Queirolo. The three have brought simple elegance to this busy Passaic Street restaurant, and have created some of the finest Italian dishes in the area. Nanni’s wine list features selections from Italy, France and California. My wife and i dine at Nanni's often because it is the best food and value. The car valet service is accommodating. The Owners Manny and Lino greet you at the door with a warm and inviting smile. The waiters are knowledgeable and offer great suggestions. Drinks are the most generous in the New York area and always taste amazing. My Wife and i have had most of the menu items and many items not on the menu. The Ceasar salad is the best as is the rack of lamb. This is a very accommodating restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Our family came here last month to celebrate a few birthdays. We hadn't been here in awhile due to the pandemic, but were happy to see all the staff again. The restaurant wasn't busy so we were served promptly. The drinks are always a large pour which is great considering what you get for the same price in the tri-state area. The food was also delicious as per usual. The only issue we had was that somebody in our party ordered Marie Brizard with their espresso, and when they tasted it could definitely tell that was not what they were given. Manny came over to show us the bottle and tell us that we probably buy a different kind at home. That's not true we've been buying Marie Brizard for decades, but in the end it all turned out fine. We'll be back soon.

WOW! This place is awesome! My wife an I started coming here the first week of December 2019 and we have been back once a week. I will not write a review unless I have multiple visits that were outstanding! I ordered the Costoleta Nanni which is a Veal Chop with Swiss cheese and procuito. Great stuff I wanted way more! My wife ordered he filet of Sole provesale special and she could not stop talking about it. The drinks where good and the service was superb! 5 stars all the way! Traditional Italian with great taste!

6 siblings and our nephew (7) people. Terrible service from start to finish! Ignored throughout (the only non white group in the restaurant)! We felt ‘slighted’ and ignored because of our race. It felt very racist the way we were treated! It was a family get together with visitors from the UK as well as the US! Snail pace taking our drinks and food order! Lukewarm food! Wrong food! Manager/owner followed us out challenging the tip/non tip we left due to the already mentioned problems! We also suspect the valet parking our car had a slight incident but never owned up to it.
Generally the worse meal for big prices! Will never recommend or return!

We really enjoyed our visit at Nanni’s. The service was excellent, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was great! I had soft shell crabs. It’s a risky order - they have to be done right. These were wonderful, in garlic & wine sauce. Glad I took the risk. Love the breadsticks too!

Party of 6 on a Monday night. Service was good. Drinks were good. Meatballs had a strange taste. Pasta was to starchy. Seafood over cooked. The group did not care for the sauce.

This used to be a 'special' dinner restaurant where you knew the quality and service was excellent. Unfortunately this is no longer the case.
While the service is still good, the food is not. We were six for dinner and I don't think any of us thought their meal was fantastic or even close.
Nothing was hot, despite being cooked to death. Overcooked escargot,braciole dry with bland red sauce, and veal saltimbocca was dry and lukewarm at best - I sent it back and got veal piccata which was a bit better, but not the wonderful meal I expected. The veal and fish entrees were served with about 10 green beans, 2 carrot slices and a small potato croquet.
Plusses were the drinks, and the stuffed artichoke and zucchini flowers which were very flavorful.
Sorry but we will not be returning

We were going hatchet throwing and were looking for someplace close. We stumbled on nanni and it had good reviews so we thought we’d try it. The decor needs updating but the food was good and the service was good too. It was a little pricey. We had the calamari which we thought was very good. And we all had fish dishes which we enjoyed. Will probably go back again. We don’t usually head that far south as we are in northern nj thm

Truly excellent late lunch experience. Fabulous Soft Shell Crab Over fresh pasta with butter and garlic sauce and fried zucchini! One of the best examples of this seasonal classic I’ve had in years!
My wife had the Seafood Risotto that was piled high with Shrimp, Scallops, Salmon, Clams, fresh peas and a heavenly sauce.
Lovely room, excellent wait staff, great bar with cocktails and an excellent wine list.
Our friends recommended Nanni to us and we are so thankful they did. This was really an Excellent dining experience on all counts!

It does seem a bit like stepping back in time a bit when entering this well-appointed and comfortable restaurant. The setting was attractive, the service excellent, and the food outstanding in every way. The menu is filed with traditional Italian items and to be able to have such a basic menu (there are of course specials every day) the pasta and sauce have to be first rate...they are! We ent on the day before Thanksgiving on a friend's recommendation. They had even it high praise, but - if anything - they understated just how good this restaurant is. Move it to NYC And you pay triple. Here you get outstanding dishes at moderate prices.
