This place is amazing! I went in for a quick bite after shopping and recognized the sign from Florida. Upon walking in the girl in front smiled and took me to my table I requested to be near the tvs but I don’t like sitting...at the bar with all my bags. I didn’t get her name but she was kind. My server was Lissa and she was so personable and sweet. I’ve worked in restaurants in college and most places waiters have gone down hill since COVID but she was the sweetest and so professional. She made sure things came out on time. I ended up getting a cheese burger since I wasn’t too hungry but woooo those drinks! She recommended something called Bruno mars but it was so good. Between the drinks and talking to her I ended up staying longer to try other drinks on the menu and her recs didn’t disappoint! I will come back every time to sit with Lissa and I hope the rest of the staff is as nice as her that girl needs a raise! My burger wasn’t cooked the way I liked but the woman manager came over got everything fixed and was apologetic. But I told her as long as the drinks were still good I was happy. She brought my food out and from then on I had no issues she made sure it was good before she walked away from me. Even after I told the manager I was okay and everything was great she still checked in on me to make sure I was still having a great time. Most managers don’t do that and I appreciated that a lot. The music was good vibes I felt like I was on vacation. I’m already planning on coming back for their happy hour with my friends. Give this place a try!More

Great islands feel when you walk in with the music. Second time here. Came to first time and had a tequila flight, came back this time to try some of the rum they were offering with my friends. Food was great. Service was good. I...can tell the young lady was new and didn’t want to mess up so she stayed checking on us and her other table. I did another survey on there little computer thing at the table but I feel like this one is better to let people know. I’m am not a big food person but you can see it’s a nice place and the service is good. Give it a try. We’ll be back for more drinks.More

Popped in for lunch with a coworker. I ordered a shot a patron and the bartender told me about these new flights they have with tequila. Music to my ears. I ordered one. Casamigos, Don Julio and a tequila I never had before. Might be...a little buzzed but I don’t remember the name. Whatever it was, I’m going back after work to get another flight. Service was great. It was a little slow but it’s lunch time. I’ll be back at 5.More

We stopped by Bahama Breeze in Paramus for early dinner Aug 2022. It was our first time trying this chain so perhaps expectations were set higher than they should've. Except one dish the food was mostly unimpressive, lacking the spices and flavor you would expect...from good Caribbean cuisine. The service was ok but while the food was served it was impossible to find anybody to ask from some hot sauce. Unfortunately, the place didn't meet expectations neither on food nor on service and we are not going back. Appetizers: Classic Wings with Buffalo sauce - wings were ok. Nothing special, but pretty decent. Guacamole & Chips - no salt, no spice, no onion, no flavor. Just an avocado mass... Mains: Jamaican Jerk Chicken - the chicken was tender, juicy, and baked to perfection. Unfortunately, it had nothing to do with "Jamaican Jerk". It completely lacked jerk flavor, spices, taste variety and color. It was just bland and it was a big disappointment :( Chicken Pineapple Bowl - it looked delicious but suffered the same problem as Jerk chicken - very little flavor and somewhat bland taste. Disappointing too. Tequila Sunburn Salmon - this was the only dish that was actually very good and delicious. Great flavor and excellent combo of spices. We cannot recommend this restaurant but we'll give Bahama Breeze chain one more try in some different location. Hopefully, the issue is just this specific location not the chain overall.More

This is a re-review....I didn’t think this restaurant (which I used to love) could get any worse, but, sadly, it has. Had a reservation for 8 people, showed up at the proper time and was told to wait. They would set up the table (really.....Why...isn’t it ready if I made a reservation weeks ago?) The restaurant was relatively empty on the day after Xmas, but we were taken to an area where there were 4 other tables occupied in the same spot. Had to step over a pile of chicken bones that were on the floor (yes, I swear this was a real “thing”), and was shown to a table set up for 6 places. I asked the “hostess” what about the other 2, as my reservation was for 8. She pointed to another table next to ours and said; “oh, they can sit there”. I asked her if she could push the tables together, her response was to do it, but not without showing her annoyance with me and displeasure, Put in our orders, for appetizers & drinks. Then our waiter took our main dish orders. For some unknown reason we received 7 of the 8 dishes. We waited for the last dish so we could all eat together as this was a birthday dinner... and waited, and waited. After about 12 - 15 minutes, the last dish finally showed up....without any explantation. While our waiter was good, I’m sure he had no idea why this happened. Compounding this miserable experience, is the fact that the entire restaurant is in desperate need of some basic health and cleanliness attention. On the floor: paper napkins, used silverware, cloth napkins, straw wrappers, remnants of food, and the aforementioned chicken bones (which was finally, if only partially, picked up). Ladies room: paper towel receptacle was so full the used towels were falling on the floor, one soap dispenser was completely empty, the other you had to pump 3 to 4 times to get any soap. So are the staff actually getting to wash their hands properly before handling your dishes? There was “liquid” surrounding the toilet stall that I was in....you can make your own assessment as to what it might or might not be. Later speaking to another person in our party, he said the men’s room was pretty much the same. I did look round for a manager, but only saw the young wait/hostess staff. Is anyone managing this location? Food used to be a lot more reminiscent of the Caribbean and a pretty good value, but not anymore with the abbreviated menu and prices higher than they should be for the value and quality. Will definitely NOT RETURN! Experience was, in a word; disgusting.More

I enjoyed the One Love drink and the Salmon. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The place is cute, I can see it needing a little updating in a few years to really make it stand out. It needs some brighter lights for one thing. Service...was great. We went out of our way to stop there again and were not disappointed!More

Used to be a great place to experience Caribbean & Jamaican fare.....not anymore. Food choices are minimal at best, and a lot of it has now somehow turned away from its original roots. Why would I come here for Italian dishes? What they still have...on their menu is good and tasty, but a mere shadow of its original concept and former self. Happy Hour, where almost all of there apps were half priced, are now down to a mere 6 or 7. Again, most of their items that made them so unique and desirable have been removed from their menu. Servers are not at all knowledgeable, so disappointed in this once enjoyable establishment that we used to go to at least once or twice a month, we now barely frequent (maybe 3 times in a year).More

While the restaurant was not overly-busy, the service was bad, the food was so-so, and the floor was nasty. Our server had all of the effervescence and energy of a flat Coke. The floor had napkins, food, and straw papers all over the place, despite...the lack of a serious crowd. Oddly enough, even the outside area and landscaping was full of similar junk.More

On July 4th I went to Bahama Breeze in Paramus with my family. I had a E gift card which the waitress wrote down when it was time to pay she came back to the table and said she attempted several times to process it...with no success so I paid with my credit card. I went back on July 28th thinking my gift card should be good only to find out that on July 4th the waitress had kept the gift card numbers and used $200 on that same day. So again I had to pay with my credit card at the end of my meal. I spoke to a manager and he said he will look into this and give me a call once finds out what happened, he also said they would replace my gift card since one of their employees had taken an advantage of me. Today is 8/10/22 and still waiting. Its a real shame that Bahama Breeze (Darden Restaurants) has employees like this.More

We were a group of seven. They were at about 30% capacity. The first clue we should have ran from this restaurant was the server spilled a drink all over the table and onto my wife’s lap. He had to be reminded twice that he...forgot a drink in the first round. I mention the first round because there was no second round. My glass was empty for twenty minutes. An incorrect dish was presented to us and the rest of us were almost done before the correct dish was served. I ordered paella which arrived without any clams and five or six mussels. Two of the mussels were not open. Any decent chef should know you discard unopened cooked shellfish. When I showed my dish to the manager he apologized for the lack of care that went into it and agreed the unopened mussels should not have been served. He asked me if I wanted another dish. I said no since by this time we had been seated for an hour and not one of us thought we liked the meals served. Jerk chicken that had no spice? The manager did not even remove the paella from the bill. Never again for Bahama Breeze. Stay away unless you intend to stay two hours waiting for lousy I’ll prepared food. They definitely do not take pride in the product they serve.More

Traveling for business I stopped in for dinner solo. I started WiFi the coconut shrimp, SO GOOD! Then had the seafood chowder, was just as yummy. I wasn’t a fan of the Cesar dressing on the salad and decided to pass on that. Got my...min dish which was piping hot, the Shrimp and Lobster pasta. It’s my go-to every time! Always a winner! Too much food and has to take the rest to-go. My server Stephanie P was great too. Kudos! I’ll be back.More

First time visit and the interior looked nice and clean and well lit. We chose to sit outside and this area was fairly large with tables and chairs of various height. Rotating fans and TV Screens in situ. The was enough chatter and music being...played, but not offensive to ones own need for conversation. Situated some 20 / 30 yards off a main highway Route 17 South, the traffic noise was not oppressive or disturbing, except now and again when a super vehicle momentarily passed by with open exhaust. One aspect was the right half of the main entrance door that "SQUEAKED" each and every time when one entered or exited and this was reasonably annoying and disturbing, as we were sitting in close proximity to that door. The service was quick and the waitrons were polite and pleasant and served one with a smile. The appetizers were good, which we had ordered and sufficient enough for each to enjoy, there was also a large variety of appetisers, drinks, salads and others available on the menu for all. No one should walk away still feeling hungry as there was more than enough served. The meals that were ordered were served soon enough after placing the order and was also served that it looked appetising and warm. All round an enjoyable evening was had and reasonably cost effective.More
