Good evening, Not sure where to start, but our evening at the Channel Marker was unfortunately just like a tornado blowing through, it was a hot mess. We had a reservation for outside dining on the water, and it was raining pretty heavy. When we...arrived there were 3 wait staff who were all sitting on the bench in the entry and all on their phones. We told them we had a reservation, and they ALL just walked away. The hostess came a few minutes later and she seated us outside, FYI the awning does leak and was dripping - that's where the evening started to snowball. Seven items were not available. They did not have them -yes correct, seven items. In short, our server was like a deer in the headlights, unfortunately for us it must have been his first night and he was not around for the entire evening. We had to clear our own table, open our own wine, and go inside to get our check. We were glad we were never offered coffee or dessert. On the way out I spoke to the hostess to tell her all of this - she told us they were busy, that was it. Not only did she not care at all, she walked away from us. Shame on you.More

We visited the Channel Marker for a private party, the food and service were outstanding! My husband and I don’t aim to be impressed by food especially when we are in a large group. But it was our first time visiting the Channel Marker and...we were so impressed we can’t wait to return to have dinner there again! I highly recommend this hidden gem! The staff was pleasant and on top of their game as well, all around a great experience.More

I just left there-walked in at 4:20 pm for dinner...not a single patron in there...EVERY table empty and they wouldn’t seat us because people will be coming in with reservations. Insane experience. Will never go back.

Great experience last night. Zorba salad was delicious fresh and huge. Clams sausage and mussels in wine broth was cooked perfectly and so fresh and tasty. Crab and shrimp appetizer was also amazing. Waitress was great not hovering but there when we needed her. Extra...lemon twice, ice 3 times it was melting and even after we had a large spill nothing fazed her. Awesome night never felt rushed. BYOB is a plus. Grab a bottle go and enjoy. Just keep it between us don't want the word getting out.More

Went for breakfast by boat, got there about 9:00am. We were a party of 7, 2 tables open set for 8 people. Hostess comes out, we tell her we will be a party of 7, she goes into restaurant, comes back out and says these...tables only hold 5 due to Covid. So we told 2 of the kids to eat in the boat and now we are 5. Again she disappears and the manager/ owner comes out and says these tables are reserved. I called before we came and they said no reservations for breakfast. He said they will be here any minute and the loser runs into the restaurant, never to be seen again. The hostess just shrugs and has no comments. There is no chance that I would ever go to that place again, the manager or owner or who ever he is got to grow a pair.More

We have been coming to Lavalette for over 20 years and just found this place this year. Man have we missed out. We went for dinner the night we arrived and there was not a bad menu item we ordered. We then came back for...lunch and had another amazing meal. This will definitely be on our list of places for the future.More

A first visit but hopefully not a last. Unfortunately we chose the 6pm vs 8pm outside dining during the pandemic (structured dining hours 4-6-8pm) which was excruciating hot 🥵 in direct sun reflecting off the Marina. Our fault, as we should have chosen the 8pm...with a sunset view. Putting that behind us service was excellent & attentive. I ordered the Thai shrimp appetizer & my boyfriend the Zorba salad. He was not a fan of the salad so I generously gave him my fantastic Thai shrimp & took his salad. I did agree the salad was seriously lacking large chunks of Feta, calamata olives, juicy tomatoes & much more oregano. The Thai shrimp appy was Excellent! The entree’s were fabulous. I ordered the Branzino Portuguese style with clams, tomatoes & potatoes, a 10. My boyfriend ordered the linguine with white clam sauce, also a 10. I can’t wait to return to try other menu items.More

Enjoyed our visit, good food, understaffed during our visit so service was slow. Nice outdoor dining with a view of the marina.

We went to Channel Marker as a family. We sat outside on the deck which was lovely. When you’re at the beach that’s where you want to be. Unfortunately food was pedestrian and overpriced Service was slow although waitress was delightful. Salad with beets had hardly a...beet in it.Crab cakes all filler. I think The Channel Marker would be a good breakfast spot but we’ll never know as we won’t be back.More

Went for an early dinner. We were seated outside which overlooks the bay. We started with appetizers. The calamari was absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, perfect. The Thai shrimp was equally as good and very large shrimp. My dinner...was cioppino it was so good and large, filled with clams, mussels and a nice piece of sword fish. Our waitress Jordan was attentive and very good at her job.More
