We had a birthday party. We had the second floor all to ourselves. A lot nicer than a lot of restaurants!
A very local italian fine dining restaurant. Great for groups ( I take guests there often) with excellent food. Specials of the day are my favorite - the chef creates some unique combinations. I have dined here over 100 times in the last 8 years...and have always had a wonderful meal for myself and my guests. A little hard to find but worth it - get directions before you go. Not far from the Saddle Brook Marriott (5 minute drive). Service is great and portion size is very ample - usually no room for the homemade desserts.More
I went for a business dinner. The bread which is a staple of any Italian restaurant was very mediocre but the olive oil which was included with it was very good. I had a glass of malbec and the fettuccine alfredo with breaded chicken. It...was incredible. Good flavor without overpowering the food.More
Great service, wonderful ambience, and tremendous food selection and excellently prepared. I never feel rushed or hurried a very relaxing atmosphere. You have to ask your waiter about their connection with the “ Sopranos “ and the memorabilia at the bar, I won’t spoil the...surprise. Easy to get to from 46,17 and rt.80,More
Everything was great! From the time we were greeted to the time we said good bye...Sammy is the best host, Ginger the waitress made us feel right at home...will be back
Gets better every time eating here. Fantastic service. Nice atmosphere to conduct business. Delicious food constantly with good size portions. Homemade raviolis with brisket- scrumptious. Broiled salmon in broccoli rabe- my fav. Veal cutlet parm is huge with wonderful mariana sauce. They serve the ultimate...best bread with hard crunchy crusts to dip in their magical raw garlic aioli. You eat it throughout dinner. All desserts are yummy. Full bar drinks.More
I went to this highly recommended spot for lunch with work colleagues. The food was good, but sadly we waited over an hour to get our food. We also ordered simple beverages (ice teas), but had to go to the bar area ourselves to get...them, after our waitress forgot about them. We arrived a little after 12:30, but didn't leave until well after after 2pm. Be prepared to wait.More
Nice place with nice music. Waited long time until a waiter approached, the dish I was served was not what I ordered, food was mediocre not more. אפשר לוותר.
Excellent Italian food. The seafood salad was terrific and worth the extra $.Everything is cooked to order. We ordered the Red snapper and scallops which were delicious. The place was very loud and there was a DJ playing very old standard music. The service was very good and look...forward to returningMore
Love this place. Ginger’s friendly and attentive service is great. Menu is varied and specials are unbelievable. Hot baked bread is fantastic. Crowded for dinner. A winning gem in Garfield. Parking Lot a plus. Panko Crusted Avocado stuffed with crabmeat and marinated hearts of palm...salads, were both luncheon specials and divine. My all time favorite is the rigatoni bolognese. Pictures below. But the welcoming face of Sam- seals the deal. Totally enjoyable experience.More
I’ve been traveling to NJ for business for 25 years. (I was just informed by just one local hotel that I’ve stayed 36 nights.) I discovered GoodFellas early on, and have been returning with fond regularity. GoodFellas is always a client favorite, and they assume...with pleasure that I will make reservations there. We always leave pleased. The specials are indeed special; my colleagues had the stuffed double veal chop, and loved it. Me, I always choose the chicken saltimbocca - love it! The potato wedges were hot out of the oven... simple pleasures do go noticed. The wait staff stay regular, and are always helpful and professional. And, even though I’m not a regular nor local, Sammy is always helpful and welcoming. My in-laws are Long Island Italians (my wife actually has an Italian passport), so I’ve been treated to a variety of great local spots. If you too want a great local spot, go out of your way for GoodFellas. Unfortunately, due to my pending retirement, this old did will miss this old favorite. (And oh... try the cannoli; you’re welcome.)More
My company held our post holiday dinner here last Saturday night and let me just say it was worth the hour + trip to Bergen County! Food was fabulous, service was too. Party room was very comfortable. From a wonderful variety appetizer tray, to salad,...to penne vodka sauce to my mouthwatering like butter filet mignon there is nothing bad to say about this establishment. Excellent!More
Going here for a long time. Beautifully decorated for holidays. Best Wait Staff around. Bob is awesome, friendly and watches everythjng with a keen eye. Food is delicious always. Lovely bar scene too. Best avocado shrimp appetizer, anchovie sauce and cannolis.
My wife and I decided to try this restaurant last week for dinner. The ambience was good and reminded me of typical Italian restaurants I have tried out in the past. Valet parking is essential and free because parking on the street without a residential...permit will get you a hefty ticket. The restaurant has a bar and there was a DJ playing music from the 60s. The host and servers were polite and deferential. I ordered a cream of Broccoli Soup which was the soup of the day and it was completely worth it. For our main courses my wife ordered the shrimp Fra Diavolo with vegetables and I ordered the special - rack of lamb. The rack was substantial and cooked to perfection. While my wife's Fra Diavolo was also cooked well, she was a little disappointed to only find 5 shrimp in it. For the price I do think that it should have has at least 7, hence the 4 stars rather than 5. Both main courses were served with green beans and a potato croquette which was very good. I can't remember when I had a croquette last. We elected to pass up on dessert. Overall, a restaurant worth visiting.More
