Recent Anniv dinner with a group of friends. Sat outside and it was not a great experience. Place is run-down. Service was truly poor and clearly they are short of help. I rarely give poor reviews anywhere - but I would avoid this place and...find another option.More

Watch these parents with the kids went around what other one are we tried the dinner this captain and his wife or whatever it is didnt seem to care about anything Just trying to stick your hand inside the lemon and do whatever she wanted

Disappointing! We arrived by boat and the pontoon to the restaurant. We arrived at noon on Wednesday and it was filthy. There weren't many people when we arrived. Our table and surrounding floor was very dirty. We asked the waitress to clean the table and...she came back with a small wet one and she did a poor job. We had to clean it ourselves. The pizza and fish tacos were good, however the Caesar salad was terrible. Some chopped romaine, a few croutons and a packaged dressing. I must say the live music was very nice, best part of our meal.More

After almost 20 yrs of attending this restaurant on and off, id like to share my july 31, 2021 experience... The good: boat captain (from mooring ball to dock) was excellent, qualified and courteous. The waitress at the bar was also excellent and friendly. The...entertainment was excellent (smokin jackets). The bad: cheap frozen pizza was marginal at best. Appetizers came at same time as meal. Multiple mooring bouys were 'shifting and unavaiable'. The ugly: tuna bites came out COLD. Wings came out undercooked (raw) and needed to be thrown out and re-ordered. The poor excuse for a 'baconator' burger that i tried to eat was likely the worst burger ive ever ordered at a restaurant, let alone for the money they charge for it. Then we could get into the greasy, slimy, cold fries at a $3 upcharge... So i guess unfortunately waters edge is back to a 'beer and band' stop again on the way home from a day on the water. The food was horrible...to the tune of a $100 bill. Its sad, because they have one of the nicest water views out there, and some of the worst food compared to other restaurants that we regularly go to by boat (captains inn, water st, river rock, mjs, beacon 70, etc). Thank you for your time to listen to our experience....hopefully we can get this food thing rectified. It seems after over 20 yrs of on and off attendance, people should switch back to "off" until the food improves. The worst thing is that i emailed them on the website almost verbatim, and they didnt even acknowledge me.More

Went there for dinner. Started with drinks, oysters and bisque which were all good. Dinner we ordered lobster but, a burger and a bbq platter (brisket was defined on menu). Food came, the burger and lobster came with fries that were ice cold, the burger...was obviously previously frozen, and lobster not butter basted to order, rolls broke apart when you bit into them. The bbq platter was the worst. Not brisket but two boneless pork steaks smothered in BBQ sauce. Came with baked potato and corn bread. No butter or sour cream. Asked for butter and sour cream but never delivered. None was eaten. Waitress Rebecca finally came to us after quite some time. When told bbq was not brisket admitted a lot of customers complained and offered to have manager come over. Well no manager came over. She eventually over and said she took bbq off bill and would get us whatever we wanted ( but what is edible?) for such a spot that should be a gold mine what a joke.More

From the beginning the service was terrible. The waitress was forgetful. There were several other staff just sitting around on their phones doing nothing. The food was awful, not worth the price you pay. Would not recommend to eat there.

Needs new chef peeled shrimp was from a bag cooked no shell potato skin was a stuffed baked potato boneless chicken wings was chicken nuggets please rewrite the menu

I don't normally feel the need to write a review, however, this place is run so terribly I feel as though I need to warn others. This place has a very nice view and atmosphere, however, I do not recommend this restaurant for the following...reasons: - Food was terrible - Service was slow and run poorly - the grounds are unkept, with weeds higher than my knees. Worst dining experience ever!! Reservation was at 3, didn’t get bread on the table until 4 which they ended up running out of. 4 different times we were told after 2 hours of waiting for food that some of the specials had sold out! Out...of 12 guests, 4 never got their dinners.More

Martell’s Management (specifically Vanessa) failed MISERABLY for my 50th birthday celebration. Management did not plan accordingly so they SORELY LACKED sufficient wait staff, cooks and runners to care for our party of 18 plus the other 30+ patrons in the upstairs dining room. Shame on...Manager Vanessa for agreeing to accommodate us when she obviously couldn’t deliver! My husband planned this very special party 3 weeks prior with Vanessa’s reassurance that everything would be great. Instead, this absolute sh*t show included a series of unfortunate events resulting in the absolute WORST dining experience we can remember: (1) 1st round of drinks came 45 min after our 5:00p arrival (2) Appetizers arrived @ 6:30p without apology or explanation!?! ... we were sooo hungry (3) There was a black, tar-like clam in the clam basket appetizer; sent it back fully disgusted (4) Two separate menus were provided rather than the agreed upon pre-set menu priced at $24.99 per person, as promised by Manager Vanessa (5) No kids menu available even though Manager Vanessa assured they have one (6) Approximately 8 of the 18 meals were brought to table 2 hrs after arrival, then 7 more meals arrived 20 minutes later and the last 3 meals were COMPLETELY forgotten; apparently our meals were being given to other patrons to keep THEM happy!?! (7) All burgers and the last 3 meals were cold; “well-done” burgers were charred and too burned to eat (hockey pucks) (8) No water refills or soda refills offered all night!?! (9) Asked for ketchup 3 times which took forever to receive (10) 10 orders of chocolate mousse were delivered without any spoons; had to scramble for leftover/dirty dinner forks on table in order to eat the mousse (11) No coffee/tea offered AT ALL (12) Table was not cleared throughout dinner; it was loaded with dirty dishes, dinner baskets, beer bottles, cans, glasses, etc, until we finally asked staff to clean up (13) We asked for a candle in one chocolate mousse dessert which never happened & it took 20 min to get a lighter and cake plates for the cake we brought When approached, “Manager” Vanessa took ZERO accountability for the horrendous experience ... instead, she instantly threw her wait staff & cooks under the bus and then blamed us for not seeing her sooner!?!? Are you kidding???? What “manager” does that??? We told the waitresses to seek other employment because Vanessa does NOT care and has no business being manager. She seemed only to care about hanging by the downstairs bar; never once came upstairs to check on us. We implore the owner(s) of Martells Waters Edge to seriously review and revise their operations, staff training and especially Manager Vanessa’s deplorable behavior towards paying customers and her own staff. Truly unbelievable and couldn’t get much worse!More
