Absolutely loved this place. Small, Quaint, great prices, great service and Delicious food. The Honey Barbecue chicken roll up was excellent. The best I have ever tasted. The chicken was tender and the sandwich was filled with bacon, lettuce, tomato. So yummy! I highly recommend...the The Mug!More

My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner while staying at Savoie’s just down the road. We got Jalapeño poppers for an app which were good! For dinner he got steak tips and a salad cooked perfectly he said they absolutely delicious! I got a...burger with onion rings and although my burger was over cooked for my liking it was still Juicy and delicious !! We will definitely return!More

Ordered steak tips recommended by the waitress. Horrible! Tough, fatty and chewy. The service was good and the waitress was nice. Just don’t get any type of steak.

Drove more than 50 miles to try this place. Unfortunately was put off completely by lack of precautions during this terrible covid situation. Very crowded inside both at bar and on the tables. No one wearing masks. Staff with no masks as well. We sat...outside but it was too cold and, again, the staff came to us with no protection. We decided to leave. Somewhat sorry that we could not sample the food but we just couldn't take chances. Maybe after this period of sorry is over.More

I was in a motorcycle accident and have been out of work for most the Summer. I am from the area, but moved out of the area in 2003. My Wife has Stage 4 Breast Cancer and is from Pennsylvania. I have spent most of...this summer showing her things I did as a Kid and/or places of note I thought she would enjoy. The Mug was a "yeah I got drunk there" spot until today 8/3/20. I was going to show her and let her enjoy Kellerhaus and we had planned to stop at a different restaurant to eat. That restaurant listed as takeout only and in the sun that was not going to be good for us. I should have researched beforehand but, I was busy doing other things and assumed the restaurant would be open for dinning in. `My Wife asked about the Mug and I said why not. I am not sure who they had in the Kitchen today, but they were rocking it. We had the 4 Pretzels w/ Cheese for an Appetizer. It was very good. The Pretzels were soft and the cheese was the right balance between liquid goo and semi solid glop. Excellent for dipping and seasoned to perfection. We had Sandwiches for lunch. I had a Grilled Pastrami on Rye (Swiss, Onion, Dijon Mustard on grilled Rye Bread) and she had a "Mug" Burger (FRESH GROUND BEEF, USA CHEESE, LETTUCE & TOMATO ON A BULKIE ROLL). When my sandwich was delivered I thought it was to small and look cheaply made. However, it was excellent. The meat was thinly sliced and tasty. the cheese, Onion, and Dijon mixed smoothly and the bread was nicely toasted. Repeatedly this Summer my wife has been disappointed in the simple "All American Type Burger" served though out the state. This time however she was delighted. She kept talking about how well it was cooked and how just damn good it was. I was so happy to see her eat over half the burger as most of this summer were one or two bites and then "maybe the kids will eat it". Great Job today Mug!!More

Got inside and really liked the feel of the place and the menu. The usual heavily skewed to meat and fish but they do offer a ‘make your own sandwich’ which I opted for and they did have non alcohol beer! Has a real local...feel and we enjoyed our time here - we had just stopped for a drink and the menu persuaded us otherwise.More

We stopped by a little after 8:30 PM for a nightcap, or two. We felt like everyone was more interested in going home than in the customer (i.e., us). Come to find out, they close at 9 PM, regardless of the time of year, or...who their clientele might be. They don't have darts, or a dart league anymore and they could care less of public opinion. My vote would be to drum them out of business and get someone in who understands people. But, who the eff am I...?More

Fisherman's Platter was all previously frozen then fried, nasty tasting seafood. Steak tips couldn't be chewed so tough couldn't even eat them, asked for medium on the tips they came out rare. Red bliss potatoes under cooked and hard as rocks. The only good thing...about the meal was the coleslaw. NEVER EVER AGAIN , & WOULDN'T RECOMMEND to anyone, the worst food I have ever eaten in NH in my 44 years of residency here.More

The Mug is one of those bar/restaurants that attracts mostly a local clientele. The atmosphere is certainly not fancy but reasonably clean and comfortable. The food is pretty good as well and the menu is loaded with comfort food.
