Never heard of this before and seen a couple advertisements on the highway. Was driving 12 hours that day and wanted something other the vending machines from rest stops. We were very interested in trying something new. So glad we did my husband ordered the Philly and I ordered the double cheeseburger. Was very pleased my husband said his sandwich tasted like a Whiteys a.k.a. white castles but a lot bigger and different bread . mine was very delicious ,very fresh.

I was first introduced to Runza when moved to Nebraska on 1978. I think I am on a first name basis with every Runza on Lincoln and Omaha. The Runzas are always terrific and hot, the fries are crinkle cut and to die for. The new Reuben Runza is the best. But the STAFF keeps me coming back

Runzas are fantastic. They are like a bread surprise. They really hit the spot. I could about ten of them in one seating. Love them.

With little time to spare but still looking for a cultural experience in Lincoln, we headed to Runza for a quick bite. We attempted to try as many items as possible - all was delicious! Hearty, unique sandwiches; crispy fries; onion rings - mmmm! We look forward to our return visit :-D

Wow!!! Loved it!

On our road trip home, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place. Great burgers a surprising Runza sandwich, One dollar shakes, a combination onion ring and french fry accompaniment!!! Service was superb, and everything was so clean! What a wonderful experience

Runza, a must try in Nebraska.

A mix of ground beef, cabage wrapped in fresh baked bread, and any thing you want added. I had the Runza with cheese and bacon, very tasty. Very clean eat-in or take out. Great service. French fries, onion rings, or Frings (Fries and Onion rings) are available. Nice side salads are also available. Enjoyed the meal, would stop again when in the area.

The salad I had was exceptional....my husband's burger was not very warm...but he didn't say anything...would stop again.

Was suggested we stop here by the hotel staff as a good local stop. Food was good and was something unique. It was not your normal food that the national chains do. Service was good. Location was clean. Food was fast. Perfect stop after a long day's drive.

Quick stop for supper.

If you are in Nebraska, eat Runza

This IS local fare... as local as possible, and yet it is also a chain! I like runza, I am a good cabbage eating german descendant... I am willing to try anything once, and a runza pretty much anytime. They are fresher and better tasting in Nebraska. Check it out.

A great local icon.

The Runza is essentially a variation of a loose meat/ Italian beef sandwich hand stuffed into a fresh cooked hoagie style piece of bread. They are great hand warmers at the Husker games until it's time to eat. This is unique to Lincoln and a must have if your looking for great fast food stop.

Being from Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, Washington - Every time we visit Lincoln, our first stop is at Runza. I really wish we had one here in the Northwest. They have their original which is seasoned ground beef, onion and cabbage (I can't really taste the cabbage) and it's amazing. I was a pig and ate 2 at the Husker game! One for lunch, one for dinner!

Haven't been to a Runza in years

I live where we don't have Runza restaurants so I make my own. (Homemade are better) That being said, it is nice to eat Runzas and not have to make them. I don't think my daughter believed me when I said you could buy Runzas fast-food style in Nebraska! The last time I ate at a Runza restaurant was about 20 years ago and the Runzas aren't as large or quite as good as they once were. The bread seems thinner almost making the Runza soggy and the bread is split making it more like a loose meat or sloppy joe type sandwich. The french fries were very good. Also, seems pricey at $6.49 for a meal. It was tasty but more could be done to improve the quality.
