Best burgers in town

This place has some of the best burgers we have ever had. They don't stuff as many toppings as possible in a gigantic burger, instead, they find the best quality food and put it together to make an amazing burger. The decor is super fun and the staff is always friendly.

Try the Nero burger

From my foodie son: I just finished eating the Nero. Smoked Bacon, and BBQ sauce makes an excellent combination with the sweetness and saltiness of the peanut butter. The siraccha is completely canceled out and only gives a kick.

Far exceeded expectations

We were on a drive across the country and stopped in Lincoln for the night. We were craving burgers and looked this place up. We had gotten a far lesser (and more expensive) meal the night before in a different state; this meal more than made up for that one. The burgers were juicy and delicious to be sure, but the truffle fries: oh baby. Those things are the reason I've kept this tab open on my phone for the past half a year. I was licking the to-go container I got them in and would go back just to lick another one. I get truffle fries anywhere I see them thanks to this place. Anyway, 5/5 would recommend if you're ever in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Common everyday burger pressed and squeezed

Common everyday burger squeezed and pressed into a perfect circle of dry flavorless beef, no juice, no flavor, back to 5 Guys and fried where there are more toppings made exactly as requested unlike Abe’s where they have 5 or so burgers to chose. None of which appealed to me. Make a change to any of their classics and you may pay an up charge to get what you want. Bring your own sugar substitute for their unsweetened tea as they don’t provide sugar substitute.

Hamburger lover

Piling on sauces, cheeses, bacon or whatever they dream of is not my idea of a great hamburger. Cook me a plain regular burger and I’ll tell you if it’s a great burger. I find Abe’s a bit pricey. I must say great marketing concept.

Awesome, unique burgers

The rotating menu of burgers at this local chain are wonderful. I'm local, so we visit couple of months. I choose a different burger every time and have never had one that disappointed. My only complaint is that the industrial decor absorbs no sound, so it's pretty loud and sometimes hard to hear conversations.

Creative Burgers!

The burgers at Honest Abe's are on point. My parents both ordered the classic greatests burgers with cheese and I opted for the Daebak burger loaded with kimchi. The burgers were delicious. We also all opted for fries with the parmesan topping. Next time, we won't get the parmesan as it was too much and took away from the overall side of fries. That would not prevent me from going back though.

Hearty, fast, and delicious

We went here for the name. As travelers passing through, we knew nothing about the place but had to try it for the "& Freedom" part of the name! You order at the counter but the burger is brought to you. The fries were wonderful, the truffle fries a bit overloaded with parmesan (there is such a thing as too much of a good thing). The burgers are the centerpiece, of course, and those were awesome, can't-put-it-down assemblages of goodness. Would go again!

If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have just taken it back. You can do better.

I don't like doing a bad review, but Honest Abes was rather disappointing. That's my side salad.. it had TWO cherry tomatoes cut in half, red onions that weren't chopped up for putting on a fork and putting in your mouth, same with the greens.. Basically had to fold them into my mouth. ( y'all know I gotta big mouth, so you know it wasn't chopped up) Got the "Greatest burger ever" which is basically a cheeseburger with bacon.. cool.. told them I wanted my bacon almost burnt, it wasn't, and there was a total of ONE piece of bacon that was folded under the cheese ( can't fold really crispy bacon, it breaks), and then smothered in their awesome sauce ( toooooo much). For almost 16 bucks, I expected better from them. Sad. And the size of the salad? Look at the container. Really??

Great Burger !

Wow, what a great burger. I couldn't have asked for anything better than what I received. I got their jalapeno burger of some kind and it was so juicy and flavorful that I devoured it in just a couple minutes. The fries were spot on as well. Service was friendly and quick. No complaints here.

The burgers are good, Plenty to eat and the fries are really tasty. I just feel it is a bit high. Many of the local sports bars have just a good basic burger. I don't need all the fancy toppings.

They hate disabled people and will ask you to leave

Walked into empty place for an order to go, was told to put my mask on. As my disability prevents this for extended time for a product that does not work, I ask them to train me on mask usage. They trained me and as I explained they are now liable for any health issues I have from here on, they told me to leave! They will not serve disabled there, they do not tolerate disabilities. They do not care and it is not a free place, the name is a lie. I also witnessed 2 individuals working there wearing cloth masks that do not cover all Covid escape channels. This means they put you at risk every time they are near you. If they have Covid, they could be spreading it to none mask wearing people as they did not follow distancing guidelines either. Both employees stood next to one another as they belittled me.

Delicious surprise!!!

Stopped by here during our trip from Chicago to Wyoming. Weren’t expecting much, but the burgers were beyond all our expectations. Juicy, right ingredients & prompt service. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Parmesan truffle fries are a must.

Very Good Salads

My wife and I were wandering around downtown Lincoln looking for a restaurant. We really wanted a good salad. Even though Abe's is a gourmet burger place, their salads are excellent. I will try a burger next time. Their staff was very friendly,

Absolutely disgusting burger pre cooked then burned on both sides not one pinch of salt nor pepper and then a bunch a kids cooking and serving not to mention the unpleasant stingy when you walked in it's a no for me I was refunded and still treated kindly I might add
