A fun German style pub.

Just opened this week, but they hit the pavement running. Limited beers for now, but they are connected with a successful local Nebraska brewing co. They promise to have more German beers added. I usually don't care for hefe beers, but since I asked one of the owner's favorites, he replied the hefeweizen. Yes, it is good, local brewed, not nearly as clove forward as others, thankfully, I enjoyed it. They also have a small food menu of sausage buns and pretzels. Extra props for having the courage to open on a football weekend in the heart of Husker territory, minutes from the stadium!

Great German style pub

The best German style pub anywhere in Nebraska ! The sausage is incredible ( lunch for 2 ) the pretzels come in 2 sizes ...one for yourself or the LARGE which is for two ! The biers are incredible as well and you also can join the bierclub and get awesome perks every month ! The staff is the best and make sure your visit is a great experience, been coming here the opening and will always love this place !

Friendly Bierhaus

Friendly Bierhaus! They were closed for a private party, but invited us in. We tried different beers, drinks and tried one of their giant pretzels, served with stone ground mustard and beer cheese sauce.

Went in for some beers And there brats!!!

Bierhaus Maisschäler is awesome! They Have the most amazing German beers craft and imported. There’s pretzels, German brats with beer cheese. The brats are brought in by a special company that they are unique. They have live music on Mondays, weekends And different times during the week in summer. The staff is so friendly and will take good care of you! The atmospheres is wonderful and on certain days of the week, they have opened up a rooftop bar on the fourth floor of the building! Especially game days It’s open! It is a very clean establishment. Highly recommend it when you come to Lincoln Nebraska!!!

Great beers and fun in a historic part of Lincoln Nebraska

What a fun place in Haymarket area. The beers are great, and the service is spectacular and fast, unless you show up on a Husker day. They can get busy, but there's always seating. Did I mention beer, yes, I did. German style beer from a local brewery that originally sprung from the rural area of Nebraska. They have perfected the taste of a good German beer. My favorite of course is The Bear, a Dunkel style. If you are looking for something to munch on, they have large soft pretzels and family made sausages. They are constantly adding to an entertaining atmospher, just recently they opened up the roof top bar. Next event up is beer olympics, teams competing in beer pong, mini golf, corn hole and more. Come during the Octoberfest, or Bock fest, Bierhaus Maisschaler is always coming up with ways to keep you entertained. Plus, the name - Bierhaus Maisschaler is loosly translated to beer of corn shuckers which in Nebraska terms means Cornhusker beer house! Yes, I'm a little partial to them, because they also have a beer stein membership, and I am one.

If you are a fan of beer then I would highly recommend going here. They have German style beer that is delicious and tasty German sausage and pretzels to snack on! Highly recommend if you are visiting Lincoln Nebraska.

Everything fell flat.

Food was egregiously overpriced for how mediocre it was. It wasnt really expensive, just overpriced for what i ate. I also didn't expect the food portion of the menu to be so tiny. Some of the beers are just from the owners other business while others are also local too. I didn't try the German beers(or any others for that matter) since I've been sober for almost 2 years. I imagine people like the food so much because they're drunk half the time. There were N/A options for alcohol, but they were extremely limited to: canned water, Stella N/A, and canned seltzer water, at least thats what the menu I looked at said. All in all this place didn't feel very inviting or inclusive. It didn't feel like I was in a German bar.

Don’t miss this place!

What a great place! Nice selection of beers and great atmosphere. Awesome staff! This was our first visit as we’re not local. Spent most of the time here along our mini pub crawl/dinner trek. Husband’s birthday, and this is where he settled nicely, VERY happy with the dunkel and conversation with other patrons and staff. I’m more of a foofoo-drink girl, and was happy first with a regular mule, then switched to Kinkaider’s Son of the Beast. We didn’t get food, but I saw some awesome-looking pretzels and sausages go by. The large pretzel is HUGE; most couples didn’t finish one. If we lived closer, I imagine we’d be regulars.

Good wurst, good selection of beers and good service. However a small facility with horrible acoustics. We were there on a crowded Saturday afternoon and it was so loud it was uncomfortable, especially with the sound system blaring rock music. You would think it would at least be German music. Is it a German style beer hall or is it a sports bar? There are plenty of sports bars around, so a more authentic style Bierhalle with German decor would be a welcome change.

Best bar in town

This is an epic spot to spend your late nights. The main beer hall downtown is a true German esthetic. Complete with some of the best bartenders in town. And the food is excellent. From the brats to the pretzels you're sure to have your fill. And the rooftop? Not a better spot in Lincoln. Literally just watched the salt dogs fireworks from here vibin to the music. Do not miss this spot if you are visiting or if you are a local!

Great pretzels

Our grandkids love their pretzels to snack on while we have one of their beers. We really enjoy the fact they have so many German beers to choose from. Nice atmosphere with TV’s to watch your favorite game which would be baseball for us. Also friendly bartenders.

Great Potential

This looks like it could be a great new place in The Haymarket. When we discovered it on a football weekend we were excited to try it. We went there hungry and we were disappointed that they were not serving food because of a technical difficulty in the kitchen. Understandable since they are just starting out but It would have been nice if the waitress had told us there was no food before taking our drink orders. We enjoyed the beer and the selection seemed really good but hazy hopheads might not be too excited. Looking forward to giving it another try in two weeks.

A very beloved neighborhood bar

This bar has become an indispensable part of the Haymarket neighborhood. They have a great selection of imported German beers as well as beers they brew themselves (which are also delicious). The staff are friendly and the wursts and pretzels are so, so good. They have tons of fun events and the new rooftop Biergarten addition is so cool with a great view.

Great customer service with a family feel

Staff is always friendly and attentive! Customer service is always top notch with these guys and the beer and food are excellent! You gotta try the homemade sausages and check out their rooftop! My dog Appa is definitely a fan.

Best Beer House In Lincoln

A fantastic spot with amazing live music every Monday. The drinks were flowing, music lively, and the food delicious. Highly recommend for anyone local or visiting to have a place to have great food, better drinks, and the best time.
